Three Towers Game

Cain did not speak immediately but rather assessed Wen Xishu with his eyes.

He knew full well that Wen Xishu was the one who had truly defeated him, the person who now easily controlled him, even with his divine level of power.

Cain had always wondered who this mysterious person really was.

Now, hearing the other’s intentions so clearly, he understood somewhat.

”Are you one of them?” Cain asked.

Even though he was required to respond truthfully, Cain’s curiosity was still apparent.

Wen Xishu was somewhat disappointed with the response.

Because evidently, Cain did not know much.

Wen Xishu sighed:

”That might be my sister. I have been searching for her. If you are willing to tell me about her, perhaps we need not be so unpleasant.”

Writing the name means certain death, but that did not stop Wen Xishu from painting a picture. Naturally, he did not need to do that now, as Cain would be compelled to answer all his questions.

Cain was a bit stunned; indeed, in his memory, that woman had said her brother was searching for her.

Cain also longed to learn the true nature of the world from these real gods.

But for now, he was the one providing the information.

”Yes, my path to this point is related to her. She told me there’s a kind of power in this world, called the Tower.”

”This is not the Tower as we understand it, but a name for a new kind of power.”

Wen Xishu was intrigued:

”Go on.”

Cain started to narrate something quite fundamental:

”The method of acquiring the Tower comes from forming obsessions and dispelling obsessions.”

”These were her words to me, puzzling at the time.”

”I met her because people from the Intelligence Bureau always guarded against me, putting a collar on me that a dog would wear.”

”The kind that would explode and blow your neck off.”

Wen Xishu couldn’t help but marvel, wasn’t that a coincidence?

Several assassins looked at each other in disbelief, unexpected that even someone as powerful as Cain had experienced such a scene.

One couldn’t help but say, was this the trait of the rulers?

Cain said:

”They hoped I could advance the Bloodline Project. I was the key core of it, and through controlling me, they continued to maintain their grip on the world.”

”I fought them, but they also had others like me, ability users under their command.”

”At that time, I didn’t have as many believers as now, I wasn’t strong enough. So I was quickly captured, collared, and had to obey them.”

”From that point on, they thought all was well, that they could command me using this method.”

”But my ability began to awaken; I realized I needed to bite someone, let them work for me.”

”This was the start of breaking the stalemate. The people of Intelligence Bureau just wanted to control me, they never thought of killing me, they were still betting on using me to rule the world.”

”And I seized upon this point, during their inattention, biting many people, and these people began to work for me.”

”As those I bit increased, my abilities grew stronger. Finally, one day... the highest decision maker in the Intelligence Bureau and the Prime Minister of Lion Heart Country were both bitten by me.”

”The Bloodline Project truly is a remarkable plan, but what I intended to be wasn’t a savior, but the one in charge of the plan.”

”When I turned all enemies... more precisely, made them my servants, that woman appeared.”

”It was then she said a strange sentence. The method of acquiring Tower power comes from forming obsessions and dispelling obsessions.”

”At the time she also said: I advocate obliterating obsessions and returning everything to its course, but it seems your approach is indeed different from mine.”

”She indeed referred to herself as Aries, suggesting that I call her that.”

”She said I resembled Cain from history. I thought it was a good name because now I indeed am a vampire.”

”Aries told me that differing obsessions dictate the different powers after the apocalypse comes.”

”Some wish for others’ happiness, and perhaps, they’ll have the ability to make others happy.”

”Some crave love but struggle to express it, so perhaps they’ll have the power to manifest inner thoughts.”

”Others wish their brothers to stay by their side forever, so when the brother is there, they become strong.”

”And some wish for understanding, thus their feelings can be implanted in others like memories.”

”As for me, I desire blood. This isn’t purely an obsession, it’s a kind of proclivity.”

This passage gave Wen Xishu a small shock.

One couldn’t help but say... he actually heard many familiar old friends from this passage.

Were these really the original words of Aries?

The one desiring others’ happiness, could it be Morioka Hitomi? The one craving love but struggling to express it, could it be Jack? Those hoping their brothers are nearby, surely was the An Family Brothers?

And craving understanding, enabling feelings to embed like memories, could it be Tang Rui?

Indeed, it seems like it.

But logically, shouldn’t be this similar.

Thus Wen Xishu couldn’t help but make a bold guess.

What if these powers from these people… aren’t from Jack, Tang Rui, etc.?

For instance, wishing for brothers nearby, thus becoming strong when the brother is present...

Not referring to the An Family Brothers, but speaking of—Gemini?

Wen Xishu found it somewhat coincidental and somewhat confusing but did not interrupt Cain’s speech.

”In dispelling and dismantling obsessions, giving you the legendary powers of a vampire, I believe this is a kind of... dismantling. After all, it is fulfilling a wish.”
