Three Towers Game

The choices before Wen Xishu were twofold.

The first was to climb the tower normally and activate the login device. The second was to activate the Gemini invitation.

However, Wen Xishu recalled carefully that after the guide’s unsatisfactory response, he did supplement with a key piece of information—

”Perhaps you can consider opening the invitation when you’re in a dilemma, when there’s absolutely no way to break through the predicament.”

”You might die in the world that the invitation leads to, or perhaps, you’ll gain a great opportunity, and when you return to the starting point again, you’ll have a way to change the situation and break through the predicament.”

This was the guide’s original words.

Chinese children are all good at scrutinizing words; it’s a very valuable ability.

After pondering for a while, Wen Xishu realized that the essence of the star sign invitation hadn’t changed. It would suddenly remove you from the Deceit Tower as well.

Because the guide used ”the world it leads to.” It’s when you’re in a dilemma and need to break out of the predicament that requires opening the invitation.

Clearly, this is very similar to the timing for opening a regular invitation.

And a regular invitation leads to the Desire Tower.

Considering this, Wen Xishu ultimately restrained himself.

”Forget it, let’s climb the tower normally.”

He hesitated no longer and activated the login device.

...

...

The familiar prompt, the familiar Mad Dice.

Upon hearing ”Welcome to the Three Towers Game,” Wen Xishu felt a sense of redemption and relaxation, as if a king had returned to his familiar throne.

Here, there were no plots or schemes, no deceit or intrigue, only a group of bizarre and twisted beings wishing him dead, how pure.

This time, the result of the Mad Dice was an entirely new number.

But it did not bring a new point result.

Black five, red five, white five.

Three dice, all fives.

The original level was the 49th floor, but now, the options before Wen Xishu included the Three Highs.

Three Highs, Three Phases, Matchless Under Heaven, Large Number Inclination, Quality Upgrade.

Without a doubt, Wen Xishu’s heart was set on the Three Highs.

In the past, Wen Xishu would have eagerly sought Matchless Under Heaven or Quality Upgrade. Or he would feel insecure without Three Phases.

Three fives. This point provided all the options Wen Xishu preferred.

But he could only choose one.

The time for Wen Xishu to ponder was running out; he was about to head to the rest area.

Wen Xishu was filled with excitement, as he undeniably had to make a very extreme decision next.

With the foundation of the 49th floor, if he chose the Three Highs, Wen Xishu truly had no confidence in facing those high-level bizarre creatures and immense obsessions.

The bottom cards in his hand, in that circumstance, might not even be worth a look.

And even if he returned alive... he’d have to spend considerable effort explaining how he suddenly leaped to the... 90th floor or above eighty-something floors.

How could someone recently on the 60th floor jump nearly thirty floors in an instant? This problem would be quite tricky to explain.

As for why the Three Highs level for the 49th-floor base is 90, and not 147, this was not a baseless guess by Wen Xishu.

Wen Xishu recalled that when the Mad Dice rolled one, three, and five, such an option appeared—”Balanced Leap.”

Upon triggering this option, it stabilizes the level based on the last time, adding +2 persistently for five times, but becomes invalid after the 90th floor.

Wen Xishu guessed that the cap for the Three Highs might just as well be 90 floors or possibly less.

Of course... this is not the main point.

Despite having many reasons not to use the Three Highs, Wen Xishu was no longer the kind to go all-in seeking thrills—

But he knew that if he didn’t choose the Three Highs this time, then fundamentally, this option would be out of reach for him in the future.

”It’s very unlikely I’ll ever get to use the rainbow feathers again. If I don’t choose the Three Highs in such an opportunity, it can be determined that I won’t have a better opportunity than this later on, and when faced with the Three Highs, I’d only opt for giving up more easily.”

Missing out on the Three Highs might be fine, but if encountered, and under the circumstances where he could slay recklessly or be killed in a stroke, Wen Xishu indeed wanted to see the view from the top of the Deceit Tower.

Just when Wen Xishu almost convinced himself to choose the Three Highs, his madness was ultimately overcome by reason.

After a prolonged mental struggle... Wen Xishu finally chose the Three Phases.

He gave up on the Three Highs.

Deceit Tower Rest Area.

In the Celestial Essence Region, Wen Xishu was somewhat melancholy.

Yes, he began to reflect on himself, wondering why he had become so timid.

If he didn’t choose the Three Highs now... then it would be even less likely in the future.

But then again, although many options existed, Wen Xishu also had never graced them.

The words of the Three Towers guide were the main reason he finally chose the Three Phases, giving up on the Three Highs.

Jumping too quickly would cause him to miss many things.

Wen Xishu thought for a moment; he still couldn’t afford to miss out. Moreover... the Anti-Magic Value requirement for the 90th floor was far beyond his current capacity.

He might not even have the courage to use the items.

”So be it, being cautious isn’t a bad thing. Besides, the forty-ninth floor is also very dangerous, isn’t it?”

Wen Xishu began to interpret the current task.

[Welcome to the forty-ninth floor of Deceit Tower. Have you heard of the Villains Alliance? It’s said that before the apocalypse, there was an organization of killers.

Before the apocalypse, changes had already begun worldwide, and some of the killers started to evolve, gaining unimaginable killing abilities.

The relevant departments of the Land of Freedom quickly took note of the killer organization and expended tremendous manpower and resources to capture several killers who had already evolved.
