Three Towers Game

Chapter 111: Chapter 67 No Normal Person_3

Now his stamina was replenished to one hundred. He decided not to sleep and to do some other things first.

But before doing these things, Wen Xishu still sorted out the current clues:

”Xiaowu, Ah Miao, Venerable Wen, Wu Xiangjiao, they all have a noticeable characteristic.”

”But with just these few people, it’s hard for me to find a pattern.”

”The obsessive-compulsive lawyer, the college student aspiring to be a prosecutor, the comedian with a cheerful outlook on life, and the foodie who is quite picky.”

”These people seem unrelated... The only connection is that they’re all going to die.”

”There are five of us, corresponding to seven households. Coincidentally, it seems we’ve all encountered single-person households. The five neighbors we have are all such loners without any family members.”

”So, what about the remaining two households?”

Wen Xishu decided to find the remaining two households.

”I’m on the 14th floor, Ah Miao is on the 35th, Xiangjiao on the 21st, Venerable Wen on the 7th, Xiaowu on the 28th.”

”It’s easy to see the pattern here, all multiples of seven, so the remaining two households should be on the 42nd and 49th floors.”

”Let’s go directly to the 49th floor.”

Wen Xishu went to the door again, and the familiar prompt appeared:

[You are about to exit the room. You seem to have a clue now. What do you decide to do?]

[1: Explore the Miracle Apartment Building: Consume 50 stamina points.]

[2: Interact with neighbors: Consume 50 stamina points.]

This time, he chose option 1. His body was again controlled by a strange force, and this time, he arrived at the elevator entrance.

Actually, midnight is not an ideal time for exploration because normally, these residents are asleep.

However, this building doesn’t operate under the concept of ”normal.”

Now it was the second day of the seven-day survival. After the first day, which was uneventful but subtly abnormal, the second day immediately brought danger and weirdness.

When Wen Xishu entered the elevator, there was already someone inside.

He wore a green uniform, looking like one of the staff of Miracle Mansion. He had his back to Wen Xishu, facing the elevator wall.

Even after Wen Xishu walked in, he still kept his back to Wen Xishu. Wen Xishu faced the elevator door, while he faced the elevator wall with his head slightly lowered.

His appearance and expression were unseen. He just stood there completely motionless.

Wen Xishu found that he could only go to the 49th floor; the 42nd floor required a special key card to press. After pressing the 49th-floor button, the elevator doors slowly closed.

At this moment, Wen Xishu noticed that the inside of the elevator door seemed different from the daytime.

During the day, he saw the inside of the elevator door glistening with a metallic shine, faintly reflecting his image, but now under the elevator’s lights, he couldn’t see any reflection at all.

Wen Xishu suddenly became alert and quickly turned around.

The ”staff member” who was originally back-to-back with him still hadn’t moved. Completely motionless, as if he wasn’t even breathing.

But... his posture had changed.

He seemed to be about to turn around. His face had already turned halfway, and Wen Xishu could see his profile, with his mouth wide open as if it had split apart.

Wen Xishu stared at him, and he remained completely still.

The elevator continued to rise. But it felt like an eternity had passed, yet it still hadn’t reached the 49th floor.

The Miracle Mansion at midnight was indeed a strange place.

Wen Xishu had a premonition that if he didn’t handle this situation carefully... he might die in the elevator.

He decided to take a bold step and quickly turned to look at the elevator door.

In that instant, the elevator rose from the 14th to the 15th floor.

At the same moment, Wen Xishu swiftly turned around again to look at the elevator wall behind him.

The ”staff member” was still frozen, but his posture had changed once more. He had now revealed most of his face, with his eyes wide open, bloodshot, and still staring straight ahead, while his two drooping hands had slightly lifted.

Anyone would feel horrified at this moment.

”He’s trying to turn around to attack me. As long as I stare at him, he won’t move. This setup is somewhat like a Weeping Angel... But my situation is worse. If I don’t look at the elevator door, the elevator won’t move.”

Indeed, if Wen Xishu didn’t have his gaze covering the elevator door, he would be in an abnormally slow space.

Wen Xishu didn’t act recklessly. At this moment, the correct move seemed to be to go to the corner.

There were four corners in the elevator; as long as he ensured he stood in a corner where he could simultaneously see both the door and the person, he could break the current eerie situation.

But Wen Xishu noticed a detail:

”The person’s eyes are not on me...”

Although there was no clue to infer that something would happen if the person’s eyes fell on him, Wen Xishu still felt he should avoid that gaze.

He had a feeling that if his figure appeared in the other’s line of sight, something even more horrifying would happen.

The elevator’s floor buttons and display were on the left side of the door, the same side as the ”staff member.”

The staff member occupied one corner, and the elevator’s buttons and display occupied another corner. If Wen Xishu chose either corner on the left, he would either be too close to the ”staff member” or be unable to see the floor display.

If he chose a corner on the right, he would be unable to see the elevator’s buttons and display, or he would be seen by the ”staff member.”
