The Versatile Master Artist

Koukou reached out her hand, playfully trying to touch the side of Gu Weijing’s face.

”Mona, thank you very much—” Gu Weijing took a few steps forward.

He ignored Koukou, who was causing a scene on the side, and expressed his gratitude to Mona seriously.

He still knows what’s right and wrong.

He heard Mona’s previous angry shout.

He also realized that the girl had rushed over out of concern for him.

”Who let you call me Mona? Are we that close? Please use my last name or Miss Sande Nu.” Mona raised an eyebrow.

”Miss Sande Nu, thank you so much for coming all the way—”

Miss Sande Nu?!

Hearing him really change his address like that, Mona felt even more irritated.

She directly interrupted Gu Weijing coldly.

”No need to thank me. I’m just fulfilling my duty as the student council president, so don’t flatter yourself. Hmph, first skipping the studio, now getting involved with delinquents, really gaining skills, huh? Is the next step to drop out and join society?”

Mona waved her hand, completely ignoring Gu Weijing, and turned to leave.

The female student council president picked up the schoolbag she had just thrown on the ground, took a few steps, then turned her head.

”A word of advice to some confused people, it’s best they understand their position.

Some wealthy heiresses have the luxury to date happily every day, and comfortably attend the family-arranged university after graduation. Some poor students, busy with love affairs instead of focusing on art, can’t get into a good university and their life would be ruined. When a lady like Aquaman is flirting on a new boyfriend’s shoulder at the European University, she won’t care if she ruined a boy’s future.”

”Miss President can hang on our wealthy gentleman Jerry’s shoulder, don’t mind other people’s business. Kicking someone to the curb during graduation season is also part of what you call caring, right? Truly a Holy Mother of compassion!”

Koukou, with her team of cheerleaders to train at any time, wasn’t afraid of this kind of catfight. She blinked her big eyes and stuck her tongue out at Mona’s back.

Gu Weijing didn’t know if he should explain something to Mona, he hesitated in place.

Koukou, dragging his sleeve, gently tugged Gu Weijing away from Mona’s back.

”Are you still going to that orphanage to draw today?” Koukou met his gaze.

”Yes.”

He nodded slightly.

”Give me a few minutes to change clothes, I’ll kindly take you there today. Don’t refuse, you wouldn’t want to be troubled by those delinquents outside school, right?” Koukou stretched lazily.

The wheels rolled softly over the asphalt road, early spring’s fallen flowers were swept up by the wind, swirling in the air.

”Sitting so far back. Not to mention falling off when we start, if your calves hit the hot exhaust pipe, they’ll blister.”

At a red light, Koukou, wearing a pink half-helmet, turned and pouted unhappily at her passenger.

Today, Koukou didn’t ride in her family’s Toyota police car, but drove a beautiful Triumph 660 vintage motorcycle.

Gu Weijing sat on the seat behind her, holding tightly to the metal frame under the seat, steadying his balance.

Hearing Koukou’s complaints.

Gu Weijing moved forward slightly, hesitated for a moment, and then put his hand on Koukou’s shoulder.

”Hold around the waist, come on, be open. Fitz’s girls are not as shy as you.” Koukou nudged Gu Weijing’s calf with her heel.

Only then did Gu Weijing obediently wrap his arms around the girl’s waist.

A girl who practices dance is soft all over, once again he was enveloped in the warm fragrance from the girl, his face turning subtly red.

”Cute! Such a shy boy, rare after the tenth grade. Makes me want to take a bite.” Seeing Gu Weijing’s changing expression, Koukou couldn’t resist teasing him again.

Surrounded by this tenderly warm touch,

Gu Weijing’s eyes focused on his nose, the nose on the heart, dutifully looking straight ahead, staring at the neck behind Koukou’s helmet, daring not to move.

But sometimes,

Hormones are an objective chemical reaction. Idle thoughts cannot be easily controlled.

Gu Weijing was thinking wild thoughts now.

Local Myanmar girls, due to race and exposure to sunlight, usually have slightly tan skin, but Koukou’s skin was very fair.

Not just simply fair,

observing from such close distance, Gu Weijing suddenly realized something.

Koukou wasn’t just the conventional beauty with fair skin and long legs, her skin was clean like a roll of silk cloth, almost invisible sweat and pores.

”Envious, huh? Sister’s skin is smooth, and it’s not just the neck.”

As if knowing where Gu Weijing’s gaze fell, Koukou flaunted her smooth skin, leg lifted slightly, reflecting a creamy sheen in the sunlight.

”You boys have no idea how troublesome learning dance is. Regardless of how one dances, at least you have to look the part, having smooth skin is a must. If you can’t manage basic hair removal and body fat, the form teacher won’t even teach you. After every shower, applying various gentle hair suppressants and body lotion takes at least half an hour, it’s exhausting. Not to mention, during leg practice, the pain...”

Koukou wrinkled her nose, complaining beside him.

The red lights on Yangon’s streets have long intervals, three to four minutes is normal, and near the embassy district, some lights change every ten minutes.

This was a long red light,

Gu Weijing sat on the vintage bike’s rear seat, quietly listening to the cheerleader captain’s complaints ahead.

Koukou seemed in a great mood, occasionally chuckling lightly, swinging her toes against the motorbike’s side.

”By the way, graduation is coming soon, what university does Gu want to apply for?” The girl asked casually.

”Central Academy of Fine Arts... or, if lucky, Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts.” Gu Weijing thought for a moment.

”Wow, a pro! These art schools are ranked among the world’s top thirty, right? Fitz Branch in Yangon hasn’t seen any alumni accepted into schools of such caliber for years.”

Koukou squinted, she didn’t question Gu Weijing aiming too high, only softly asked: ”Central Academy of Fine Arts is taught in Chinese, Hamburg in German. Like me, you’re taking French as a minor, right? If we want to attend, do we need to do a foundation year?”

”No need, I’m native in Chinese too. For the visual arts department at Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts, since 2005, there’s been an international student exchange and training program together with the German Ministry of Culture and European Union Culture Bureau — [Menzel Turner — Excellence Master Training Program], conducted in English.”

Gu Weijing had checked the information beforehand.

Similar to Tsinghua’s Qiu Chengtong Class, focusing on training mathematicians.

Many renowned European schools have similar programs,

Since the 100th anniversary of the sketch master Menzel’s death in 2005, Hamburg Academy established the [Menzel Turner — Excellence Master Training Program], dedicated to nurturing the next generation of internationally renowned painters.

By the name alone, one can tell.

Menzel is a representative painter from Germany, and Turner is a national treasure-level painter from the United Kingdom.

This training program led by the European Union Culture Bureau is a joint project between Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts and the Royal Academy of Arts, one of the world’s top four art academies.

The project started when the United Kingdom was still part of the European Union.

Graduating successfully allows obtaining visual arts department dual-degree diplomas from both Hamburg Academy and Royal Academy of Arts.

While the UK left the EU, the joint project between the two art academies has not stopped.

However, obtaining diplomas from such dual prestigious academies is always difficult.

Equivalent to double endorsement, art students worldwide scramble to apply, last year only one Dongxia person and one Singaporean, two students from Asia were admitted.
