The Martial Unity

Chapter 3541: Shifting Civilization

While the Evolutionary Army cautiously mobilized its forces with the goal of achieving acceptable success without suffering too many losses, the dwarves were whipped into a much greater frenzy. From the very moment their underwater probes and artificial intelligence reported on the presence of negatron mines at the very bottom of the ocean, countless craftsmen within the Bournvyrne Empire had pushed for an aggressive mining of the negatron matter.

The Emperor naturally acquiesced, unable to disregard the strategic value of the substance. While they didn’t have an innate compatibility with the technique, they sought any exotic matter that they could get their hands on. Exotic matter of any kind would greatly expand the capability of the technology that they could create.

In particular, the technological prowess of the dwarves also meant that they could create extremely powerful negatron-empowered wormholes that would allow them to go farther and do more with negatron matter compared to the other six civilizations of the world competing with them for it.

”With our technological prowess and our extraordinary artifacts, we can reach farther than our rivals and establish star bases in farther star systems before our enemies can reach us, allowing us to gain a dominant advantage over our enemies!”

For the dwarves, the considerations were highly straightforward. As far as most dwarves were considered, they deserved exotic resources the most, as well as resources of the cosmos the most, due to the fact that nobody could apply them better than they could.

As far as they were concerned, they had no choice but to monopolize as many of the negatron mines as they could. However, their approach to the matter was very different from most civilizations, which took a centralized approach.

The dwarves, on the other hand, allowed for private enterprise to commence mining for exotic matter as and how they pleased, allowing the public to get involved and even gain resources from the government to engage in private mining enterprises within the depths of the ocean.

However, while the dwarves were the most open and free about allowing their people to get involved with the mining operations at the bottom Great Void Ocean, they weren’t the only ones.

Across the true world, the private industry rapidly gained news of the negatron mines, as investors and venture capitalists began pouring tremendous money into mining teams that rapidly formed to get their hands on a piece of the pie that was cooking at the bottom of the ocean.

Nations like the Hlakaschken Trade Empire went a step further as they announced the creation of a programme that sponsored private mining operations in return for half of their net yields. Empress Schlieffen even went as far as to give other perks to those private mining outfits that successfully brought back large sums of money.

Mining companies around the world abandoned all their other operations, whatever they had left, as they focused on gaining or upgrading and expanding their underwater mining capacity. In the blink of an eye, an entire industry had been revolutionized, causing many forces in the world to shift to adapt to those changes.

The sheer intensity of the demand for negatron matter grew so high that even space mining operations halted as space mining crafts returned to Gaia to be refitted to handle aquatic environments. Whatever minerals could be found in asteroids paled in comparison to the miracles waiting for them at the bottom of the Great Void Ocean.

The risks were high, for the resource was strategic, and they would be competing with the most powerful military forces in the world. On top of that, the environment was extreme, with unfathomable pressures threatening to crush anything that was even slightly insufficient.

They would need highly specialized and highly developed equipment and crafts that were capable of withstanding extreme pressures without crumbling.

And yet, the fruits were too alluring.

Gaian civilization had sought to reach for the stars for many, many years. Despite being substantially technologically advanced, the stars were largely beyond their reach, taking centuries to reach even the closest ones.

The impacts of the negatron mines spread beyond just the mining industry.

They began affecting everything.

The flood of withdrawal of investments and redirection to mining operations was seismic, causing several otherwise dominant industries to crumble within twenty-four hours.

Millions and even billions of people began making career-change decisions within a matter of days after the revelation of negatron matter available within the depths of the ocean.

Even if one couldn’t get one’s hand on negatron matter, one could at least get rich. The sheer demand for labor spiked in a matter of hours and refused to slow down.

Any and all hybrids that had anything to do with water had hit the gold mine, or the negatron mine, rather. If their path and genetics allowed them to gain even a remote advantage in the race for negatron matter, then they had already been flooded by commissions and highly lucrative offers to undertake mining operations in the Great Void Ocean.

Technology and paths specializing in aquatic environments had fallen behind in Gaia in the past few centuries, but the return of the Panama Continent and now the negatron matter mines had changed its fate. The speed at which researchers abandoned making airborne, landborne, and spaceborne crafts in favor of submarine crafts was dizzying as institutions around the world began handing out grants for aquatic technology like it was a charity.

In just twenty-four hours, the world had already changed more than it had in a century, for such was the magnitude of the miracle of negatron matter mines forming at the bottom of the Great Void Ocean. The consequences of the battle between Rui and Shenlong had altered the trajectory of the entire planet and all civilization.

Had they not fought, civilization would likely have never gained the ability to reach for the stars, limiting the scope of their civilization to just one solar system.

Now, they had access to the galaxy.

Perhaps even the universe.

It marked the birth of a new era, one that would change the entire world forever.
