The Martial Unity

Chapter 3410: I Have You Now

WHOOSH

Amare barely managed to evade a blindingly fast set of claws that threatened to eviscerate her where she stood, only to find herself face to face with the dragon’s jaws, threatening to eat her alive.

WHOOSH

The only thing that entered his mouth was an empty illusion.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

Amare’s fist crashed into the back of his neck, colliding with the extraordinarily strong radioactive invintium scales as she struggled to permeate her impact deeper. She barely managed to flip off, evading the heavy tail crashing against his own body, where she had been just nanoseconds prior.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

An attack that would have crushed her flat did nothing to his own body.

The sheer amount of power that the Dragon Emperor possessed made her feel like a mosquito buzzing around a human. A slap from the human against their own body did nothing to them, but it would crush a mosquito into mush.

Each attack was a matter of life and death.

And yet, she hung on even as a blindingly swift barrage of attacks converged upon her, threatening to tear her into confetti.

Only to crash into an empty image.

WHOOSH!

She barely managed to even breathe as she escaped death once more, only to face boundless more attacks converging upon her, many of which crashed into feints over and over and over.

’I’m fortunate that the true world seems to be truly illiterate on Martial misdirection.’

Misdirection was bread and butter in Martial Art above the Squire Realm. Many Martial Artists used it in varying capacities, and there was even a Transcendent assassin who had mastered it to the highest degree.

However, as they had discovered with the elves, the true world didn’t have any foundation in misdirection or hypnosis, and she understood why.

Hypnosis was normally impossible to use against a person’s will. Human hypnotist practitioners could only use hypnosis with a person’s active cooperation; she suspected that the same was true for the races of the true world.

Martial Artists were able to use misdirection and hypnosis in combat because they were the only race that was centered around hyper efficiency born from complete brain usage. The elves and the therianthropes used brain capacity in their respective bonds with flora and fauna, while Martial Artists used brain capacity to make their actions more effective and efficient.

This allowed them to pull off things that no other race could do so.

That was why something as simple as misdirection, which any Martial Artist worth their salt could learn to adapt to quite quickly, was deeply effective against the Dragon Emperor, who had never faced such a move before.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

It was the only thing that allowed Amare to evade each and every single blow that the Dragon Emperor unleashed against her.

For it wasn’t just the claws that she needed to evade.

It was also the destruction that came with the sheer force it unleashed.

WHOOSH!

Lord Shenlong’s claws crashed into an empty image, and yet, the immense momentum and power that he unleashed had to go somewhere.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!

The destruction that the dragon unleashed upon heaven and earth was a spectacle in and of themselves, threatening to tear apart the very fabric of space and time with the power that he unleashed upon the rest of the world.

Amare watched with horror as a single gesture unleashed tsunamis that were kilometers in height in the direction of the Hlakaschken Trade Empire and to the rest of the world.

Yet, she couldn’t intervene.

She could only hope that the pathwalkers and the advanced technological port systems of the Hlakaschken Trade Empire would be able to mitigate the destructive after-effects of the dragon’s immense power.

’I need to keep his attention focused on me!’ Her eyes sharpened as she charged in, tunneling through the very fabric of space and time, doing her very best to evade each and every single blow that the Dragon Emperor unleashed upon her.

Her strategy was simple, but effective.

Utilize the principles that the Dragon Emperor had no understanding of or experience with. Utilize his own inexperience and lack of understanding against him, to evade his attacks while weathering down his nigh-invulnerable body over a long period of time. Martial Artists were efficient with energy and power.

On top of that, she hadn’t even made use of her greatest trump card yet, reserving it for the most impactful moment.

’I can do this!’ Her amber eyes were charged with immense determination. ’I can weather him down and take him down!’

”Don’t underestimate the instincts of a dragon.”

It happened faster than she could even react.

SPLAT

Her eyes widened as her arm disappeared.

A tail swing so fast that it reduced her arm to blood mist with a single swing before she could even feel pain. Her expression grew severe as she leaped away from the Dragon Emperor with gritted teeth, closing the gaping wound at her open shoulder joint.

The dragon

Lord Shenlong’s yellow, reptilian eyes turned to his tail as it drew closer to his mouth. His eyes studied Amare’s blood before his mouth opened and his long tongue swept across his tail, wiping it clean of her blood.

His pupils dilated with ecstasy.

”Your blood... is delicious.”

The glint in his eyes shifted from lust to gluttony as the dragon longed to taste more of the female who dared to challenge him. She hid her wound from him, as her wounded side tilted away from him, as if she didn’t want him to be able to revel in the damage he had done to her.

Her breathing was labored.

Her Martial attire was covered in much of her blood.

Her stance weakened as she stumbled through the air.

The Dragon Emperor stared at her.

”You were truly strong for a female, Omni-Martial.”

WHOOSH!

He surged forward, lunging at her with blinding speed and astronomical momentum, as his jaws opened, seeking to gobble her in one fell swoop.

This was the moment that Amare had been waiting for.

WHOOSH!

Her expression grew fierce with determination as she lunged forward, almost eager to enter his mouth.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

Lord Shenlong’s eyes widened as branches, leaves, and wood emerged from within her body through her gaping wound, entering his mouth before he could even react, and piercing his flesh from the inside out.

SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!!!!!

”I have you now!” Amare’s eyes blazed with vengeance.
