The Martial Unity

Chapter 3409: Outside Awareness

For a creature as large as the Dragon Emperor, he could move extremely fast despite the massive distance between them.

WHOOSH

One moment, he was more than a dozen meters away.

The very next moment, he had arrived before her as his claw swung down on her with astronomical momentum the likes of which vastly exceeded what even Amare could possibly dish out.

WHOOSH

Amare smoothly sidestepped midair, as her palm switched to a fist, tunneling through the very fabric of reality as it surged forth with devastating momentum.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A heavy blow struck the Dragon Emperor as his scales sustained an astronomical impact.

And yet, Lord Shenlong was unperturbed.

WHOOSH

Amare summersaulted through the air as she evaded a claw attack so powerful that it almost tore apart the very fabric of space and time, only to find herself face to face with his open jaws, lunging at her.

BANG!!!!

A powerful kick against his lower jaw barely allowed her to move out of the way in time as she spun away through the air. And yet, the Dragon Emperor had already caught up with her as his giant, powerful tail rushed towards her with extraordinary momentum.

WHOOSH

If not for her uncanny ability to accelerate her movements by tunneling through the very fabric of space and time, she would have died then and there. Yet, not only did she dodge the attack, she even found the time to return the favor with a powerful kick of her own.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Her foot crashed into the Dragon Emperor’s back, permeating her impact as deeply as she possibly could.

And yet, it barely permeated an inch into his outer flesh.

”The mass of ten thousand mountains lies within my body, little girl,” the Dragon Emperor sneered. ”A female like yourself is too weak to permeate an impact any deeper than a mere inch. Your bodies were not evolved for power; they were evolved for breeding. That is your only purpose in this life.”

His massive arms blurred into motion as they charged for Amare’s neck, threatening to erase her existence with the sheer amount of momentum packed in each blow.

WHOOSH

The Dragon Emperor’s eyes widened as his attack crashed into an empty image.

An illusion.

A feint.

”Everything is Martial Art.”

Amare’s tone sent chills down his scales as she unleashed an extraordinarily powerful blow with every muscle in her body working in tandem to unleash an impact on his throat.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

For the first time in the battle, Lord Shenlong felt pain.

For the first time in a long time, the Dragon Emperor hurt.

Amare’s amber eyes sharpened with fury as she unleashed powerful blows upon the dragon with blinding speed and astronomical momentum, choosing to target his vital organs.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

If she couldn’t hurt him with ordinary attacks at random spots across his body, then she had no choice but to be more selective with her attacks. No creature was absolutely invulnerable. Not even Jormungandr or the eldritch chimera of the Panama Manifold were invincible; they all had weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

As long as she targeted his eyes, his throat, and his disgusting, scaled scotum, she would be able to inflict great pain on him.

The Dragon Emperor snarled as his claw swipes coursed with blinding speed, unleashing devastating destruction upon her.

WHOOSH

His dragon eyes widened as his attack crashed into an empty image once more.

An illusion.

He didn’t understand.

Did homo martialus embed projection technology in their bodies?

How on Gaia was this female able to disappear in the face of his attacks in a manner that defied reality?

How could she evade his awareness so smoothly?

Lord Shenlong had one of the most powerful eyes, noses, and ears in the entire world,

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

His eyes grew bloodshot as a spike of pain in his groin, unlike any other, sent shudders down his body. Amare kicked his giant testicles with a devastating blow and a vindictive grin, leaving him drowning in pain.

”You...!” The Dragon Emperor’s eyes sharpened with a fury. ”How dare you?!”

His attacks converged upon Amare with a blinding speed and momentum, threatening to erase her very existence with a single attack. And yet, his attacks crashed into empty images, leaving him bewildered at what kind of witchcraft the inferior female was pulling off.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

Amare evaded each and every blow, using a trick she had learned from Rui by observing him and being with him for a long time. Rui normally used the VOID algorithm and the SOUL System to gain the needed foresight to simultaneously use misdirection to enhance his feints.

She didn’t have that.

She simply thought.

Her Martial Mind was not comprised of formalized systems of thought like Rui or that of any other Martial Artist in the world. It was comprised of raw thought.

Everything was Martial Art.

Including thinking.

She leveraged a lifetime of thinking to distill it into her Martial Mind, giving her an amorphous system of thought that could be used for any kind of conscious thinking relevant to Martial Art.

She didn’t collect data and then put them through an extensive statistical algorithm to create models; she simply thought about what he was going to do next and timed her misdirection and feints perfectly to fool his mind.

And it worked.

WHOOSH

A powerful tail whip that would have split her in half crashed into an illusion, while the subsequent claw swipes, threatening to reduce her to blood mist, crashed into empty images.

Over and over and over.

The Dragon Emperor grew more frustrated at the magic that she was displaying, using his extraordinary senses to try to scry the truth. And yet, even his senses, among the most powerful senses in the world, were unable to intuit the truth.

’...This isn’t a physical illusion.’ His reptilian eyes widened with realization. ’Not even illusion technology of the tekvores can fool me, she must be using something else to disrupt my perception of reality!’
