The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 973: Chapter 973: Prescribing the Right Remedy

”Lovesickness?” Xv Zhina furrowed her brows deeply. She really didn’t expect Lin Tian to come up with such an answer.

”Did I say something wrong?” Lin Tian responded with a question.

”You...” Xv Zhina pointed at Lin Tian, then realized it was a rude gesture, so she put her hand down and rested it on the desk between them, saying, ”Check my pulse again. I noticed with those people who left, you just looked at their complexion without checking their pulse. Quite the arrogant guy.”

Lin Tian chuckled without replying, placed his hand on her wrist, and carefully felt her pulse. About ten seconds later, he withdrew his hand and smiled, ”Pulse is steady and normal. Very healthy. Just insomnia and dream disturbances, possibly due to lovesickness. Don’t rush to deny it. The way you look at Hua Dongxu, gentle like a spring breeze, even a fool can see there’s something going on.”

Xv Zhina retracted her hand, pouted a bit playfully, and asked, ”Is it really that obvious?”

”Yes, with him around, you don’t let your gaze stray from him for too long. Been fond of him for quite a while, haven’t you?” Lin Tian asked with a smile.

”Ah~” Xv Zhina suddenly propped her chin, sighed softly and said, ”Yeah, it’s been three years. I’ve hinted multiple times, but that guy seems oblivious.”

”He’s not oblivious. He knows very well. Haven’t you noticed that he often sneaks glances at you too?”

Xv Zhina shook her head, ”No, you’re just teasing me, aren’t you?”

”What good would it do me to deceive you about this? I’m helping you. It’s probably because of the student-teacher dynamic between you two that things are so awkward. Otherwise, given your personality, you’ve long since launched a fierce campaign.”

Xv Zhina nodded, ”I have a year and a half until graduation. I’ll pursue him then.”

”You can wait that long?” Lin Tian teased with a grin.

”You...” Having her secret exposed made Xv Zhina a bit flustered. How could her little secret be seen through so easily by this jerk in front of her?

Lin Tian was completely right; she had been losing sleep lately because of her longing, feeling tormented by gains and losses. Especially every time she hinted to Hua Dongxu, that blockhead kept finding excuses to avoid it. Really didn’t know what he was thinking.

Now that her secret was out, Xv Zhina decided not to hide it anymore. She boldly asked, ”Then what’s your plan?”

Lin Tian had long thought of a solution. He smiled and asked, ”Do you think Hua Dongxu is a responsible man?”

”Of course,” Xv Zhina replied without hesitation. In her mind, Hua Dongxu’s merits were countless.

”Do you think he treats you differently compared to other girls?”

Xv Zhina tilted her head, thought earnestly, then nodded, ”He spends a lot of time with me and seems quite patient. Though it seems he’s just that kind of person.”

”That’s enough. I do have a plan, but it depends on whether you dare to execute it.” Lin Tian said with a smile.

Xv Zhina couldn’t resist her curiosity and asked, ”What is it?”

”Find a chance to drink with him, and after a few bottles, just go for it and kiss him. Do you dare?”

”Of course!” Xv Zhina answered firmly, then hesitated a bit, ”Will that be inappropriate?”

”What’s inappropriate about it? It’s easier for a woman to pursue a man. If you don’t take the initiative, he’ll be snatched away by other women. You know, he’s quite the catch.”

With Lin Tian’s words, Xv Zhina suddenly felt nervous. She hesitated again and asked, ”But do you think this plan will actually work?”

”How will you know if you don’t try? Want me to give you some aphrodisiac?”

”No, no need...”

”Are you sure you can handle it?”

”I guess so...”

”Remember to dress a bit sexy. I bet that gentleman Hua Dongxu hasn’t seen much of the sexy style.”

The more Xv Zhina listened, the more she thought Lin Tian’s idea was a bad one. But upon careful consideration, it might actually work. The subtle hints weren’t effective, so why not go bold!

”By the way, if you’re still having trouble sleeping, let Hua Dongxu read you a bedtime story.” Lin Tian said.

”Will that work?”

”It should. I believe he’d be quite willing.”

Suddenly, Lin Tian noticed Xv Zhina looking at him seriously and intently.

”Why are you looking at me like that? Although I’m a bit more handsome than Hua Dongxu, I already have a girlfriend,” Lin Tian said seriously.

”Hmph!” Xv Zhina retorted, ”I’m just wondering if your lousy plan counts as treatment?”

”Oh, you women are truly fickle. Just now, you were all for my opinion, and now you call it a lousy idea. This is what I call a targeted solution!”

”Alright, alright, I won’t argue with you. In exchange for you giving me advice, I’ll share some good news with you.”

Xv Zhina suddenly grinned mischievously. If she had two red horns sprouting from her head, she’d definitely resemble a little demon.

”What’s the good news?”

”Your free acupuncture offer has just spread on the school’s forum. A lot of people are heading this way, and soon the queue will be very long.”

Lin Tian was stunned. He was really taken aback by the extreme reaction that his little show-off action triggered. With so many people in the school, if everyone came, he’d never need to leave, right?

”What kind of good news is that?” Lin Tian rolled his eyes twice, making Zhina giggle. She said, ”For me, that’s good news. I quite enjoy seeing you struggle.”

After saying that, Xv Zhina got up from her chair and left. She waved and said, ”Good luck.”

Lin Tian watched her back, gritting his teeth in frustration. This ungrateful woman! Just when I was giving her some advice!

...

Shortly after, the students who had been listening to the lecture in the classroom all took turns enjoying a free acupuncture session. Almost everyone had a prescription tailored to their own conditions.

Praise, joy, and endless compliments filled the room.

Even though there was just a curtain separating the makeshift clinic, many people kept glancing there, as if trying to peer right through that curtain.

Everyone present was a medical student, knowledgeable in medicine and medical theories. They discussed the special features of each prescription among their groups. Each prescription was different but each had its own brilliance.

Meanwhile, students who were drawn by the news had already formed a long queue outside the classroom. In no time, the line extended from the seventh-floor classroom down to the first-floor lobby. And the queue continued to grow.
