The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 862: Chapter 862: Self-Created Sword Technique

Feeling the Grand Elder sweep past him, Lin Tian immediately shouted, ”Old man! Catch my sword!”

The Grand Elder ignored him because the boy, at this moment, was too late to draw his sword.

Huh, trying to trick me like a child?

He sneered inwardly, watching Ruyan’s Sea of Qi, and stabbed directly.

Suddenly, the Grand Elder sensed something was wrong.

He suddenly felt his entire back turn cold!

It wasn’t due to the weather; it was a warning of crisis!

Remembering what Lin Tian just said, the Grand Elder’s expression darkened.

He hurriedly withdrew his sword hand, then exerted force at his waist, tiptoed, and turned his body around.

He saw snow flying in the air and a black short sword slicing through the sky, generating high temperatures, melting the surrounding snowflakes as it pierced toward him.

This scene was terrifying for the Grand Elder, his pupils immediately contracted, and sweat appeared on his forehead.

He couldn’t understand, at his speed, how could Lin Tian, even if he drew this short sword and threw it, catch up with him? He was merely a high-level Martial Artist, this was beyond logical!

No matter what he thought, that black short sword was indeed within reach, if he hesitated any longer, the sword would pierce through his stomach!

The action the Grand Elder took in that moment was to clasp his hands together and use the Inner Strength within them to grip the black sword!

Clang~

His hands clamped onto the black sword, emitting an extremely bright metallic clang, even causing some ringing in the ears.

Looking at his hands, the Grand Elder suddenly froze, murmuring, ”Blood...”

That bright red liquid slid across his palm, falling into the snow, but before it melted the snow, it was frozen again by the cold wind.

The Grand Elder spread his hands open and saw that his calloused palms were cut into four gashes by the black sword.

”This short sword...” The Grand Elder quickly recalled that last time at the Xu Family in Luoyan Dock, Lin Tian had blocked his Hidden Dragon Sword with this sword, and the blade hadn’t sustained any damage.

He gently rubbed the blade with his hands, feeling the familiar texture, the Grand Elder actually laughed, ”It’s made of the same material as the Hidden Dragon Sword, hahaha... Kid, I like this short sword, I’ll keep it!”

Lin Tian’s face turned black.

”You’re a Golden Core master, a seventy-year-old man, is taking my stuff considered bullying a child?” Lin Tian pointed at his nose, cursing, ”Don’t you care about your old face?”

”I still care about my face, but this matter is just between you and me. Even if you tell others, it won’t matter. This short sword is made of the same material as the Hidden Dragon Sword, exceptionally rare in the world. You say it’s yours, who would believe it?”

”Fine, fine, fine!” Lin Tian uttered three goods, then walked to the side and picked up the Hidden Dragon Sword that had fallen to the ground.

The Hidden Dragon Sword was more than four times larger than the Black Dragon Sword, heavy in the hand. Not agile at all, rather somewhat cumbersome.

Lin Tian weighed it in his hand, this sword weighed at least fifty pounds, right?

Equivalent to the weight of a petite girl.

In Jin Yong’s ”The Return of the Condor Heroes,” Yang Guo’s black iron heavy sword didn’t rely on the sharp edge, only on weight, able to crush ten techniques with one force.

And this Hidden Dragon Sword has a black blade, with a silver edge, looking extremely menacing; swinging it down with added weight and Spiritual Qi, that destructive power makes one’s hair stand on end just thinking about it.

”Kid, don’t play around with this sword, be careful not to hurt yourself.” The Grand Elder looked at Lin Tian teasingly, as if watching a joke.

”Is that so?”

Lin Tian’s mouth slightly curled up, wielding the Hidden Dragon Sword and swung it once.

Bang~

This was a low hum produced by the friction between the blade and the air, if it were any quieter, it would be covered by the wind.

”Still quite handy, old man, take another sword from me!”

Lin Tian rushed up with this heavy sword, feeling somewhat cumbersome.

He didn’t dare infuse Spiritual Qi into this heavy sword; if the power became too great and the situation got out of control, what would he do?

If the Grand Elder were to lose an arm or a leg, it wouldn’t matter; but if Ruyan got hurt, that would be really messed up.

”Look at your clumsy appearance, with a sword like this it’s just scrap metal in your hands.”

The Grand Elder mocked and then quickly faced Lin Tian.

In his eyes, Lin Tian was just a high-level Martial Artist, dealing with him wasn’t much effort, and teaching him a lesson would save trouble.

The distance between the two was reduced by more than half in the blink of an eye.

Lin Tian lifted the Hidden Dragon Sword in his hand, secretly mustering energy and thrusting forward.

Lin Tian had never used such a long sword before, although he knew many sword manuals and techniques, he had never practiced them.

Among the numerous manuals, there was one called the ”Twelve Forms of the Simple Sword”, a simple and plain name, recording the simplest moves.

The sword techniques focus on chopping, slashing, collapsing, flicking, blocking, washing, intercepting, piercing, stirring, pressing, hanging, and sweeping, these are the ’Twelve Forms’.

If each form in this manual were practiced to the utmost perfection, there would be no need for any sword techniques, as each form would be divine simplicity, reaching a state where no-form triumphs over form.

Of course, Lin Tian was far from that realm.

Therefore, he had to manage in his own way.

”Ha!”

With a loud shout, Lin Tian’s speed suddenly exploded, the sword tip thrusting toward the Grand Elder’s chest.

”Hmm?”

Lin Tian’s burst of speed was nearly doubled, surprising the Grand Elder. A slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, his steps paused, his body shifted to the side, casually dodging the dangerous move.

The sword’s characteristics of being flexible, effortless, and elegant were not visible in the Hidden Dragon Sword, which was entirely a dominating and unyielding brute force sword.

Missing his pierce, Lin Tian’s footsteps promptly halted. He let out a long howl, then lifted the sword hilt with both hands, swung it in three large circles, and, borrowing the inertia, struck down at the Grand Elder.

Despite just swinging it three times, the generated wind was not small; if accidentally caught, it would peel off a layer of skin.

Seeing this strenuous display, the Grand Elder didn’t intend to clash head-on but lightly stepped back a few paces.

”Hmph, kid, you don’t know how to wield a sword, do you? How could you use it like this?”

Lin Tian turned a deaf ear, still swinging.

”Heh.” The Grand Elder chuckled softly, then began to mockingly appraise Lin Tian.

The Grand Elder knew the characteristics of the Hidden Dragon Sword well; it was not just heavy, this sword also possessed Spiritual Qi, and if this continued, it would drain all of Lin Tian’s Inner Strength and energy.

Gradually, the Grand Elder noticed something was off.

This kid was still swinging; it was already the ninth circle. There was no sign of fatigue at all, more remarkable was that the speed was increasing, so fast that Lin Tian was spinning himself, creating a small whirlwind on the spot.

”Old man! Taste my self-created sword move!”

The Grand Elder’s gaze turned gloomy, self-created sword move?
