The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 443: Chapter 443: Surveillance

Every cop looked extremely professional, as if they were specifically there to pick a quarrel.

Only, they didn’t show much interest in Qiansimei and swiftly made their way to the seventh floor.

This was the original gaming venue staff, but now all the files on the computers had been replaced with tea culture-related content, everyone was engrossed in their work, as if they didn’t see the police at all.

Mei Ruyan clapped her hands twice, finally capturing the attention of the ’working’ employees.

”Everyone, take a break upstairs. Leave your computers and drawers open. Rest assured, the officers won’t damage your things. If they do cause any damage, just get them to compensate you.”

The employees didn’t object to what Mei Ruyan said, stood up from their seats, but instead of going upstairs to rest, they stood by their seats watching the police search.

”Report, nothing here.”

”Nothing here either.”

”Nothing.”

The police clearly had some tech skills; soon enough, they checked all the computers, but found no trace of gambling activity.

”Let’s go, check upstairs.”

Tang Feng, expressionless, took the lead to head upstairs.

On reaching the eighth floor, all the police paused in surprise.

The supposed gaming venue, how could it look like this?

One officer asked Mei Ruyan, ”How long has this tea house been open?”

”Five years,” Mei Ruyan replied.

”Why does it look so new?”

Mei Ruyan glanced at him disdainfully and replied calmly, ”We renovate regularly, is that a problem? If this place were dusty and shabby, would you come here to spend money?”

The officer was clearly at a loss for words after Mei Ruyan’s response and didn’t say anything further.

Lin Tian couldn’t help but admire Mei Ruyan’s staff for making such a drastic change in just one night, leaving no trace behind.

Tang Feng’s expression was grim, his facial muscles twitched as if he were furious, letting out a cold snort as he paced around.

He first walked to the bookshelf, pulled out a book, found nothing, and then put it back.

This time he was at a loss. He had received a bribe yesterday, promising that he would shut down Xianglong Tea House, just like the properties taken down by Black Gold Security Company, sealing them all.

Yet he hadn’t expected Xianglong Tea House to be in this state.

Originally, he could’ve come over last night, was about to act when he was dispatched elsewhere for an operation. Tang Feng knew someone was blocking him.

Tang Feng now felt not only angry but also scared. Compared to the person who bribed him yesterday, he was just a small officer. Since he took the money, failing to deliver could have consequences he couldn’t bear.

Suddenly, Tang Feng saw the surveillance camera overhead and felt elated inside.

Tang Feng turned around, looked at Mei Ruyan and said, ”We need to look at the surveillance footage here, please cooperate.”

Mei Ruyan said nothing, keeping her head down as if contemplating something.

Seeing her like this, Tang Feng felt even more certain.

You can alter the decor and facilities, but the surveillance footage surely can’t be faked, right?

Lin Tian was also anxious. Surveillance was a major loophole.

The original gaming venue had a camera every few steps, all high-definition ones, making it much harder to cheat since it would easily be caught.

Lin Tian looked up and saw that the cameras overhead were significantly fewer overnight. One could only be seen at a great distance.

”No problem.”

Mei Ruyan remained icy, revealing no thoughts.

Just as the group was about to head to the surveillance room, someone else came up via the elevator.

The elevator door opened, and a man with stubble, dressed in designer clothes, stepped out, each arm around a scantily dressed twin, both with top-notch faces and figures.

The bearded man saw the radically transformed tea house and over twenty police officers, his expression changed drastically and turned to retreat back into the elevator.

”Catch him!” shouted Tang Feng.

Instantly, six officers rushed forward, one leaping into a flying tackle, pinning the bearded man to the ground.

Lin Tian frowned, moved next to Mei Ruyan, and asked, ”Who is this guy?”

Mei Ruyan shook her head, ”Don’t know, never seen him. We’re membership-based, I’m certain he’s never been here before.”

”Then why did he come here?” Lin Tian asked.

”I don’t know either,” Mei Ruyan replied.

This was the core area of Xianglong Tea House, not accessible to just anyone, especially not on such a special day, when nobody would come here to gamble. Everyone knew the police would search Xianglong today. Coming here was asking for trouble.

The bearded man and the twins were brought before Tang Feng by the police, heads lowered, looking guilty as thieves.

”Speak, who are you? What are you doing here?”

Tang Feng stood before the bearded man, loudly interrogating him.

The bearded man’s legs shook, stammering, ”Officer, my name is Zhou Ming, I came here to drink tea.”

”You’re lying!” Tang Feng accused.

He didn’t need to say much; everyone present could see Zhou Ming’s guilty demeanor.

Mei Ruyan whispered, ”I bet this guy is going to say he’s here to gamble soon. He’s likely sent by Du Dahai.”

Lin Tian nodded, agreeing with Mei Ruyan’s assessment; this guy was indeed suspicious.

”Sir, questioning him isn’t going to yield much. Why don’t we head to the control room and check the elevator’s footage? We might find something,” suggested an officer.

”Alright.”

A smile appeared on Tang Feng’s face, and he walked briskly to the control room.

The control room was on the seventh floor, so the group quickly arrived. Inside were four employees.

The officers were not polite, sitting down and pulling up the surveillance footage from the elevator.

Soon, Zhou Ming and the twins appeared on the screen.

From this angle, you could clearly see the twins’ ample chests; even when they laughed, their chests surged dramatically.

On screen, Zhou Ming was holding the twins’ waists, smiling, ”Once I win a million or so today, I’ll spend it all on buying you cars, big ones. Then we can inside, hehe...”

The twin on the left rubbed her soft chest against Zhou Ming’s arm a few times, saying, ”Ming, can you really win that much?”

”Of course, just wait to see my skills. If I get serious, I can bankrupt them in minutes.”
