The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 407: Chapter 407: A Shocking Idea

The pain in his mouth made Lin Tian much more honest. He didn’t do anything beyond the bounds of friendship with Xu Ning’an—except for glancing at her chest a few times, if that doesn’t count.

After tucking her in, Lin Tian originally planned to leave. But after checking the time, it was already one in the morning, and calling a cab might not be easy. Better to make do here and get some sleep.

Actually, from here to Black Gold Security Company wasn’t far, about a ten-minute walk. But he’d had some drinks and spent some time bickering with Xu Ning’an, and really didn’t feel like moving. Perhaps, more than anything, a part of him didn’t want to leave.

Lying on the sofa, Lin Tian hugged a pillow to his chest and fell asleep groggily.

Until the middle of the night, he suddenly felt a bit chilly and wanted to crawl into bed with Xu Ning’an. But he worried she’d wake up the next morning and see him there, triggering some memories. He ultimately decided against it.

The next morning, when he woke up, the day was already bright. Lin Tian glanced at the clock on the wall; it was already half past seven.

He sprang up from the sofa, muttering to himself, ”Oh no, I’m going to be late.”

Just then, a tall beauty wearing a white turtleneck shirt and an apron walked out of the kitchen, carrying a cup of soy milk and a plate of bread.

Lin Tian was captivated by her mature allure.

She smiled and said, ”What are you staring at? Dumbfounded. You’re almost late, hurry up and wash up, then have breakfast.”

Lin Tian just nodded repeatedly, but his eyes didn’t leave her.

”Hey,” Xu Ning’an tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and teasingly said, ”Why are you still sitting there stupidly? Listen, go brush your teeth and wash your face, then have breakfast; there are clean toothbrushes and towels in the bathroom.”

Looking at her charm, Lin Tian recalled last night’s alluring scene and gulped with difficulty.

But it seemed she didn’t remember anything.

Lin Tian cautiously asked, ”Did you sleep well last night?”

Xu Ning’an beamed, ”Quite well. Sorry, I’m bad at handling alcohol yet love drinking; had too many drinks last night, cried myself tired, and fell asleep.”

Lin Tian touched his nose and awkwardly laughed, ”It’s alright. Actually, the one who should apologize is me...”

”Why?”

”Ah, nothing... Just didn’t take good care of you last night.”

”I was quite fine. By the way, Lin Tian, what’s wrong with your tongue?”

”Ah? My tongue?” Lin Tian was startled for a moment, then guiltily explained, ”The hot pot was too hot yesterday, accidentally burned it—it blistered... Okay, I’m going to wash up.”

After speaking, he didn’t dare face Xu Ning’an’s expression and quickly ran into the bathroom, looked into the mirror, and found the wound had scabbed over, just still a bit painful.

Guess I won’t be able to enjoy eating for the next few days. Is this the retribution for being a rascal?

Sure enough... while drinking milk and eating bread, it felt like a knife was stirring in his mouth, and every movement of his tongue hurt.

Xu Ning’an covered her mouth and laughed, ”Are you stupid? Eating hot pot and getting burned like this?”

Lin Tian couldn’t refute her mockery and could only smile bitterly with a double entendre, ”I won’t eat recklessly again.”

After breakfast, Lin Tian greeted Xu Ning’an, went downstairs, hailed a cab, and rushed to the dormitory.

He quickly got into his military training gear and ignored the alluring glances from many beauties along the way, heading straight to the sports field.

Luckily, the timing was perfect; everyone was just gathering.

Standing in line, following Mr. Liu’s first command, everyone trained arduously under the scorching sun for the entire morning.

Mr. Liu remained as strict as yesterday, catching several unqualified students, making the boys run laps and the girls sing.

Liou Qingcheng had also started aggressively with Lin Tian since yesterday noon, serving dishes, offering water, even massaging his shoulders.

Of course, Lin Tian was reluctant to let her do these things, so he ended up massaging Liou Qingcheng, using Spiritual Qi to dispel her fatigue.

Returning at noon, Lin Tian received a call from Zhou Mi. She immediately asked when Lin Tian was going to train, making his head ache as military training had taken all his time, leaving no room for hip-hop practice.

Zhou Mi conceded the point and then chatted with Lin Tian on the phone for another half an hour.

Next, Lin Tian called Wu Yong.

”Hey, Tian, what’s up?” Wu Yong’s voice was drowsy, clearly he’s been sleeping.

”There’s a very important matter, wake up.” Lin Tian frowned slightly.

Wu Yong remained drowsy, ”Speak up, Tian, I’m listening.”

”Prepare yourself; we’re going to hijack the equipment.”

”What?”

”I plan to hijack the equipment.”

His words finished, the phone emitted a loud noise. Obviously, the guy was startled.

Wu Yong, holding the phone, trembled as he said, ”T-Tian, don’t joke with me like this. That’s the equipment warehouse! You’ll be riddled with holes before seeing the equipment.”

”Look at you, so timid,” Lin Tian said amusedly, ”It’s Du Dahai’s stuff.”

”Du Dahai?” Wu Yong was confused, ”What do you mean? Tian, explain.”

Lin Tian organized his words and began, ”Here’s the thing, yesterday I got some intel: the bar you raided a few days ago belonged to Du Dahai, the crew inside were members dealing in equipment, but the equipment was moved the day before you arrived.”

Wu Yong spent quite a bit of time digesting before swallowing his spit and saying, ”So, we clashed with Du Dahai a couple of days ago?”

”We’d have to clash eventually, nothing to fear.”

”Yeah, he’ll end up dying by my hand someday.” Wu Yong boasted and then asked, ”Do you know where the equipment’s been moved to?”

”I know. It’s in a villa basement in the northwest of the city.”

”Where did you get your intel?”

”Xu Ning’an overheard it when captured, should be reliable. We can send two guys to check out that villa first; if it’s shady, the equipment’s surely inside.”

Wu Yong hadn’t finished listening before he started laughing, happily slapping his thigh and roaring, ”That’s a good idea. But, Tian, I have one request... can you bring me along when we hijack the equipment?”

Lin Tian teased with a laugh, ”Why do you need to go, you fool? They have guns, it’s not just a gang fight; with your skills, don’t end up getting shot.”

”Come on, Tian, with you guys there, I won’t need to fight, just there to see the action and join the fun.”

Lin Tian pondered for a while, finally nodding, ”Let the guys scout first these two days. If it’s not too dangerous, I’ll let you come.”
