The Invincible Strongest Student

Chapter 249: Chapter 249: Fierce Battle

Besides trying to understand the purpose of these silk threads, Lin Tian was also searching for Bai Shishi on the Ferris wheel.

Despite feeling extremely dizzy, Lin Tian could see clearly inside and did not find any sign of Bai Shishi.

”Could she be on top?” Lin Tian looked up, but only the highest part of the Ferris wheel hadn’t been checked?

In the cabin at the highest point of the Ferris wheel, a black shadow was curled up, bound with ropes all over, disheveled hair...

”Just as I thought!” Lin Tian sighed and closed his eyes to regain composure!

”Trouble never comes alone, I’m afraid of heights, and they’ve put Bai Shishi on the Ferris wheel!”

Since he knew where Bai Shishi was, Lin Tian saw no need to go further. Instead, he retraced his steps down the corridor, opened an iron door, and was greeted by the sight of a giant Ferris wheel standing in front of him.

”Do I have to climb up bit by bit?” Lin Tian scratched his head in a headache.

He grabbed the Ferris wheel’s steel frame with his feet and stepped onto the cabin edges where passengers board, slowly climbing upwards.

In the darkness, a black shadow watched Lin Tian slowly ascend the Ferris wheel, a wicked smile appearing on the face beneath the hood.

Lin Tian climbed halfway up, sat on top of a cabin, and took a quick rest, breathing heavily.

”Whoosh! Whoosh!”

Two piercing sounds broke the silence of the night, and Lin Tian immediately looked over as two cold flashes crossed his cheeks, clearly feeling the chill of the silver needles.

”I’ve been discovered!” was Lin Tian’s first reaction.

Dozens of cold flashes shot out; some were aimed at Lin Tian, while others randomly struck the Ferris wheel.

”Their aim is terrible!” Lin Tian couldn’t resist mocking the enemy, but soon the smile faded.

A black shadow flew straight into the air, stopping about five or six meters opposite Lin Tian, with the two of them staring at each other.

Lin Tian was standing on a cabin, but the other person was floating outright in mid-air, standing on nothing. Upon closer inspection, the black shadow was covered in a dense network of silk threads that clung to the Ferris wheel, allowing them to float without any visible support.

Lin Tian was sincerely impressed by this trick, but it also surprised him as it was a method previously used by Naokawa Kumashiro.

He wondered if this mysterious person had some connection to Naokawa Kumashiro?

Or was this mysterious person from Sakula Country?

No, that can’t be right?

As far as he knew, Bai Jiaming wasn’t acquainted with anyone from Sakula Country!

”Hehe, you’re not afraid to die just to save someone!” The mysterious person’s eerie voice came again.

Lin Tian chuckled self-deprecatingly: ”What does saving someone have to do with being afraid to die? Do you truly believe you can kill me?”

”It seems to be your misfortune, especially in a place like this!” The mysterious person was clearly delighted with the environment.

Because as long as they were in the air, the mysterious person could do whatever they pleased.

Though outwardly calm, internally, Lin Tian was extremely anxious, as the environment was completely unfavorable to him.

”You must have noticed me long ago, didn’t you?” Lin Tian tentatively asked.

”That’s right!” The mysterious person nodded: ”I waited until you climbed halfway up to show myself, so you can’t escape!”

The mysterious person was correct; where Lin Tian was, he could neither go up nor down, making it very awkward.

Moreover, a person climbing with just their hands versus someone who could float in mid-air using silk threads was bound to be at a disadvantage.

”Maybe we could go down and have a fair fight!” Lin Tian said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, desperately trying to buy time to figure something out.

”That’s not funny at all!” The mysterious person was clearly not falling for it: ”Are you ready? Because I’m about to start playing!”

”Ah~!” Lin Tian sighed, once again facing someone who could fly, what a headache...

The shadow hovered in mid-air, moving its hands as if playing a piano, and a flurry of silver needles attacked Lin Tian like a storm.

”The silver needles recklessly shot before were actually weaving a web!” Lin Tian realized as a silk thread wrapped around the Ferris wheel.

Given the unfavorable setup, fighting was out of the question.

”There’s no choice but to dodge!” Lin Tian darted around the Ferris wheel like a monkey.

”Let’s see how long you can dodge!” The mysterious person smirked with a smug, amused expression beneath their mask.

”But do you think that’s all I can do?” The mysterious person’s words carried a tone of pride: ”Now, let me show you my true skills!”

”Whoosh!” A piercing sound, much louder than the silver needles, rang out.

Lin Tian saw a black shadow rushing at him, his first reaction was to sit on the cabin.

Although he narrowly avoided the deadly strike, his shoulder’s fabric was pierced, turning into shredded bits that scattered into the air.

”What is this!” Lin Tian looked at the black shadow that pierced the cloth and saw an arrow-like object tied to a silk thread.

”Hehe, not bad reflexes, are they?”

The mysterious person’s laughter caught Lin Tian’s attention, revealing numerous arrow-like objects floating in the air around him.

”I wonder if you can dodge this time!” Dozens of black shadows surged toward Lin Tian like arrows, overwhelming and inescapable.

”Damn it!”

Faced with so many large, penetrating arrows, Lin Tian pushed off hard with his right foot, leaping high and dropping downward.

”Hmm?” Retrieving his silk-thread-controlled dart, the mysterious person scanned below, only to find Lin Tian was nowhere to be seen.

”Did you think you were the only one who could fly?” Lin Tian’s voice echoed through the air, but he was nowhere in sight.

”Where is he?” The face hidden under the hood was puzzled; despite it being nighttime, disappearing into thin air seemed too bizarre.

It was simply unheard of, unseen!

But soon, shock registered on the face under the mask, which quickly turned to anger: ”Tell me, where did you get that equipment from?”

At this moment, Lin Tian was floating in mid-air, facing the mysterious person, with both floating as they stared at each other.

That was why seeing Lin Tian like this left the mysterious person astounded.

But after the shock, there was anger, all because of the question of where Lin Tian had obtained such equipment.

Only a handful of people knew such a technique...

”That person should be your companion, right?” Lin Tian smiled slightly: ”I remember he was called Naokawa Kumashiro...”

”Did you kill him?” The mysterious person shouted in anger.

”Not only did I kill him, I also took down Meichuan Kuzi. I believe both were your companions, right?”

Lin Tian toyed with the silk threads in his hand, smiling playfully: ”Can’t you fly? Come, let’s fight! I can fly too now!”

Though Lin Tian could temporarily use this equipment, he was still not very adept with it. Trying to fight the mysterious person to a draw was quite challenging...

But he absolutely couldn’t lose in terms of momentum!!!
