The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1784: Might of the Opposing Force

Adhara fired her spirit at the wall of mist and spread her arms to the side.

It was a violet fulmination that came next.

She opened the gateway to the enemy fortress, opening the gateway to end the rebellion force.

Before the purple hue could dissolve along with the mist, Adhara allowed her Flames of Jealousy to swirl around her arms and back into her core. In this battle, she, as the Female Alpha, has only one task, and that is to lead the charge.

So, she took a step forward.

Muscles swelled and repositioned, skin drowned with the strands of white—a transformation.

She transformed into a form that no werewolves dared to even look.

The Anti-Werewolf.

The most feared bloodline in all werewolf history.

A lineage that was the embodiment, the direct reflection of the White Omicron.

Adhara stopped fifty meters away from the disappearing wall of mist, walking along its length, left and right, glowing white eyes peering through the mist like a hawk. She was not afraid. Even knowing what lies behind the mist, she was not afraid.

There is only one hurdle that blocks her from soothing Rex’s heart and earning his acknowledgment.

For those rewards, she is eager.

But for the enemies who would soon stand across the battlefield, she is unhinged.

Roar—!

A powerful roar exploded from her threat, blasting a soundwave that tore through the last remnants of the mist, obliterating it like smoke in a gale. Carried on that wave was her crippling energy, lethal to the likes of werewolves, and it rippled outward across the square until it struck something unseen.

A deafening, metallic clang resounded that shook the stones beneath their feet.

”Seems like we underestimated them a little bit,” Gistella whispered.

She infused death energy and moonlight energy into her heart of black, preparing for a fierce battle.

”Yes, we did,” Evelyn muttered from behind. ”This is more than I expected.”

For a brief second, as the world halted around them, the Great Army, along with the leading figures—held their breaths. Once the mist cleared, their eyes finally bore witness to the opposing forces, the one that still remained stubborn in supporting the selfish princess.

As expected, the main square was held by a tide of fur and fury.

The almost-forming Blood Moon hung above them like a swollen, crimson pupil, its light washing their forms in a coat of fresh blood. It was a sea of heaving muscle and bristling hackles. Thousands—not in any way lesser in number compared to the Great Army—of mountainous shoulders, corded necks, and clawed hands braced before them.

They didn’t stand in ranks, not in a way a normal army would.

But it wasn’t messy. It was tactical.

Each inch of them was positioned and numbered with the sole purpose of war.

Snarls wove through the air, a constant, grating chorus of promised violence.

Fangs that could rend stone glinted wetly in the lurid glow. Colorful predatory eyes burned with a deep, singular intelligence that only focused on blood and gore. Each chest hitched with ragged, steaming hot breaths.

One that was taken care of by the collective rage that rose like heat into the cold air.

Just from a scan, there are at least thirty-five Alpha Primes among their ranks.

It was quite overwhelming in comparison to the twenty-seven Alpha Primes amongst the Great Army.

And surprisingly, werewolves aren’t the only creature among their ranks.

Evelyn stared to the left and right, noting there were wolf-like creatures that were collared.

It has three heads with each having a personality of its own, three tails that swayed chaotically, and also a horn that was akin to a unicorn’s horn on top of each head. Judging from their aura, they were all around the eighth-rank realm.

Quite strong for subdued war animals, and there are at least a hundred of them.

”Can’t believe there are a hundred Haitis,” Fenrik whispered in a silent surprise, scanning the army ahead, specifically the three-headed wolves. ”I thought they were already extinct after the war. To think there are still this many...”

”What are they?” Evelyn asked before turning to look.

In this stare-off, she wanted to make sure she understood the chances of the Great Army.

She never knew about these wolves, but it seemed the older werewolves knew.

”Experimental guinea pigs that were bred to be tools of war,” Fenrik explained. ”As their eerie anatomy disclosed, each one possesses three lives. With every death, their core body grows stronger. As for the red variants... they are physically linked to a clutch of black Haitis. Every black one that dies feeds its power direction into the red, making it exponentially stronger.”

Just hearing what their abilities alone made Evelyn frown.

In her entire life, she never seen this kind of creature before.

Heck, there was no saying that these creatures exist since most of the war was fought by werewolves.

Seems like since this was their last stand, their trump cards were brought to light.

Evelyn should be prepared to see all kinds of odd things.

”What about those things?” She asked further.

Other than these wolves, there is also an odd-looking bird that should be a raven.

Compared to the Haitis, these ravens were even scarcer—only a few werewolves, those closest to the Alpha Primes, possessed them. The birds perched like jagged, living epaulets on their shoulders, beaks long and sharp as awls.

”How can this be...?” Valkis’ eyes widened. ”Those are Danger Blood Ravens!”

”Quiet yourself...” Evelyn whispered sternly.

She wanted to know, but she didn’t want the opposing forces to know that they were taken aback.

”I-I apologize,” Valkis said, shaking his head and clearing his throat, regaining his composure. ”Danger Blood Ravens are ancient mutations, but they are... special. They lack our sharp senses as a werewolf. Instead, they possess an incredible sixth sense, and ae incredibly quick, which was why werewolves in the past usually rose them and brought them to battle.”

”Sixth sense...?” Evelyn rasped with a frown.

Even though she didn’t know for sure what that meant, it sounded like trouble.

”And on top of that, they also drank blood, which they metabolize into a potent venom. When injected into a werewolf, it can double, sometimes triple, their physical power,” Valkis continued, gritting his teeth in anger as Princess Selene must’ve hidden them. ”An animal that made use of our regeneration.”

Finding these ravens was almost like a blessing from the Lunirich Gods for the werewolves in the past.

It is a mutated animal that is completely compatible with werewolves.

Since werewolves could endure more damage, it can also endure the raven’s potent venom.

Other creatures who tried this would find themselves paralyzed—and die, but the werewolves’ bodies could harness the venom for a temporary physical boost. Akin to a drug that would erase the limiter in their brains from going all-out and rampaging.

Really popular, or outright essential, during battles against vampires and demons.

Crash—!

A figure landed hard across from Adhara.

Smoke covered the figure’s form, but from its silhouette, Adhara could tell this one is strong.

Not to mention, it was also huge, easily reaching eight feet or even taller.

Grr...

From inside the smoke, all that could be seen other than its silhouette was the Wolf Moon King Mark, and also its glowing orange, predatory eyes. Even before the Anti-Werewolf, it didn’t seem to bear any sign of fear or suppression.

Adhara looked at the silhouette and then tilted her head.

She growled, taunting it to attack.

Swoosh—!

Immediately after the growl, the werewolf pounced from inside the smoke.

Adhara saw only a blur of shadow, but she would never be cowed by a mere werewolf. She moved like a predator herself, her body phasing through reality as claws slashed harmlessly through the space where her face had been.

Surprised, the werewolf turned around but was met with Adhara’s glowing white eyes.

A torrent of white energy blasted forward.

No werewolves could endure a direct exposure to her energy, especially now that she was stronger.

’Now is my chance!’

Swish—!

Giving no time for it to breathe, Adhara dashed like a white phantom, the grim reaper that carries bad omen to the werewolves. She charged inside the arch of the werewolf’s swing, ready her claws in a low stance, then drove them into the ribcage.

But his claws were caught mid-track by the werewolf’s bare hand.

Adhara’s eyes widened.

She could clearly see that the werewolf’s hand burned where it touched her claws, its flesh sizzling—even so, its regeneration was unnervingly potent, healing the damage almost as quickly as it formed, never letting it spread past the knuckles.

For once, Adhara had never seen anything like this.

All werewolves buckled under her might.

But this unknown werewolf has a helpless-inducing regeneration.

Not even entertaining the surprise, remembering that this is war, Adhara seized its arm and scaled its chest like a predator, then drove her heels into its sternum, kicking off in a powerful somersault. Even though its body was as hard as a rock, the force pushed the werewolf backward a couple of steps.

As she landed in a crouch, she immediately launched herself forward again.

She closed the distance before it could recover.

Slash—!

Her attacks slipped through its defense and slammed against its torso, forcing ten steps away towards the opposing force.

On its chest, crossing, bloody claw marks could be seen.

”Hot-blooded. Swift.” The werewolf whispered with a grating, hoarse voice, almost as if its voice was almost gone completely, weathered thin by centuries if not millennia. ”Your anger sings in every strike, young one. A pity... the ghost in white has cursed you.”

Adhara straightened her back and stared at the werewolf in silent shock.

For one, she has never seen a werewolf like this before.

Before her was an incredibly old werewolf that looked almost distinct from any other werewolves.

Its body was cloaked in flowing ash-silver fur that coils and billows in the wind. A massive, voluminous long tail trails behind it, unravelling into wisps of moonlight energy—that fade and reform with every movement, making it look spectral.

Above, its mane is as thick as a lion’s and untamed.

Every single limb of this werewolf was longer than normal, giving it an impossible reach.

Dark, curved claws bite into the ground, while wounds riddled its forearms and torso, hinting at a battle-hardened monster that only knows war. Just the sight of this werewolf was enough to put pressure on the Great Army.

Adhara can feel it.

Even she was frowning when the wounds she inflicted healed with the sound of crackling ember.

”Ah, shit...” Mavok cursed aloud, brows dropping into a frown. ”It’s Laynkard.”

”Laynkard?!” Valkis’ eyes bulged, almost escaping their sockets. ”Night’s Triarchy?!”

He stared at the werewolf standing across Adhara in absolute shock.

”What?” Fenrik asked, not knowing who they were talking about. ”Who’s Laynkard?”

”An extremely old werewolf that has been a guardian of the Blood Moon Prince,” Valkis answered. His face was now slightly contorted in fear, not expecting to meet this monster here. ”A werewolf from the first generation, a part of a three-headed group of royal guardians called the Night’s Triarchy.”

”Night’s Triarchy?”

”It’s a special group of three guardians that are placed to guard the Blood Moon Prince. Because of how violent the Blood Moon Prince was, the Night’s Triarchy’s members are often replaced due to death by their own prince. But throughout the millennia, Laynkard remained.”

Even recounting who this monster was made Valkis shiver in fear.

”He suppressed the Blood Moon Prince while shielding him simultaneously. This is the same werewolf who managed to slew a Vampire Duke, hunted five Upper-Echelon Death Knights alone, and fought to a standstill an Archdemon fueled by a Sin...”

Upon hearing this, Evelyn glanced at the Great Army.

She specifically stared at the Alpha Primes and realized that most of them had the same fear as Vallkis.

Only those who weren’t aware looked fine.

But those who knew... All of them showed obvious signs of fear.

”Relax,” Evelyn clasped her hands elegantly on her belly. ”Adhara will handle him.”
