The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1735: Granting the Request

”I want you to turn me into a Werewolf.”

Her voice rang like thunder inside Rex’s mind, blanking his thoughts.

Rex stared at Princess Davina—and gradually, his eyes widened as he slowly realized what her request was. He thought he was hearing it wrong initially, but seeing the seriousness behind her eyes, Rex now realized that he hadn’t heard wrong.

She actually asked him to turn her.

”What...? Are you insane? Do you even know what that means?”

”Yes, I know exactly what I’m asking. I can’t abandon my life, but I can abandon a part of me.”

”Davina, you’re not thinking straight. If you become a Werewolf, you’re going to be connected to me. It sounded good, but it’s really not. You’re going to feel everything that I experienced, and you’re also going to have a much harder time being far away from me.”

”Are you really trying to dissuade me?” Princess Davina—snorted in amusement. ”If you set your mind on something, can you be dissuaded from doing it?”

Naturally, the answer was obvious.

Nobody would be able to dissuade him from doing what he intended to do; even Evelyn, Adhara, and Gistella would find it hard to stop him when he had already made up his mind. Other than providing a better path, he wouldn’t change his mind.

Princess Davina took the silence as Rex understood what she meant.

Just like him, she also wouldn’t be dissuaded from this since she had already made up her mind.

’If I can’t make him stay, then I should at least provide a reason for him to go back to this realm someday in the future,’ Princess Davina thought inside, still staring directly into Rex’s hesitant eyes. ’If I let him go now, he’s not going to come back ever again until he has to. But if I’m also a Werewolf...’

As soon as she became a Werewolf, everything would be different.

Rex wouldn’t be able to push her away, or at least would find it a lot harder to push her away.

More importantly, turning her into a Werewolf is a tempting offer.

She was far stronger than the current Rex—fully compatible with a Werewolf’s power, and turning her would also secure his link to the Spirit Realm—allowing him to return safely whenever he wished. For Rex to oppose such an offer would be the same as arguing against a proven certainty.

Rex paused for a good moment; his mind was a mess.

It was a tempting offer to make someone as strong as Princess Davina one of his pack members.

However, as tempting as it was, he felt like he couldn’t accept this.

”How do you know that I can turn others into a Werewolf?” He asked in confusion.

As far as she was concerned, there was no reason for her to suspect Rex possessing the unique ability to turn others into Werewolves—very few Werewolves can do this. No. Perhaps there was nobody who could do this other than Rex, as he had never heard of someone turning into a Werewolf.

Not to mention, if there really was a way, the information would be extremely well-hidden.

Anyone who has that knowledge would have been killed instantly by the Ancient Humans in the past.

So, Princess Davina shouldn’t be aware of this fact.

”You said you’re a bad person earlier, and I remembered how Mira was acting weirdly back during the knighting ceremony,” Princess Davina folded her arms as if she was cold, and walked closer to the tree. ”I sent Mira to investigate the remains of the Arcalen and Narsa House, so I reckoned she must’ve met you there.”

”One way or another, you turned her into a Werewolf.” She added as if it was natural for her to notice.

In truth, that was a freakishly sharp observation.

Princess Davina had managed to deduce that he turned Mira into a Werewolf from nothing more than their brief interactions—an insight so sharp it bordered on uncanny. And though this wasn’t a deliberate attempt to make herself more appealing, her perceptiveness only heightened her potential in Rex’s eyes.

And this is making Rex’s mind throb.

”So, are you going to fulfil my request, or not?”

”I can’t... Like I said, I’m not comfortable leaving you here if you decide to follow me. I have a lot of enemies, and they will know that you’re someone I care about. At that point, you’re going to be constantly aimed and attacked. If you’re not with me, you’ll be in trouble.”

”If your enemies are really that strong, then wouldn’t they aim me regardless?”

Princess Davina stopped and stared at Rex with a rare, teasing smile.

”Are you really still saying that you don’t care about me?” She asked.

”Sigh...” Rex massaged his forehead—not expecting that Princess Davina would be making it hard for him to leave like this. ”I’m helping you feel better about leaving me, while you were doing the opposite thing. How is this fair?”

”Hmm, are you afraid of turning me? Is that why you’re hesitating?”

”Fine.”

Swish!

Rex slashed the palm of his hand with his claws, leaving a small but long cut that oozed with blood.

He then raised his eyes again and showed the cut on his palm to Princess Davina.

”Here,” Rex said, nudging his head toward the cut. ”Drink my blood and you’ll get what you want.”

”That easy?” Princess Davina asked as she approached.

”Yes, it’s that easy. I’m rather abnormal.”

”In that case, I’ll offer you my thanks upfront, dear fiancée. I’m happy we’ve come to an agreement.”

Princess Davina stood before Rex again and held his hand with both hands, pulling it toward her mouth so that she could drink his blood. As she did that, she still couldn’t believe that drinking his blood would give this kind of effect.

But she reckoned that Rex could manipulate who would turn into a Werewolf.

If not for that, then the Voidal Monsters that wounded him would all be turning into Werewolves by now.

Just as her cherry-red lips were a few inches away from the cut, Rex stopped his hand.

Both of their faces were now closer than ever.

”Are you really sure about this?” He whispered, still hesitant.

”Yes,” Princess Davian nodded firmly. ”I’ve never been more certain.”

”Becoming a Werewolf would mean developing beastly traits. You will not like regular foods and will opt for a more carnivorous diet. Your anger needs to be regulated all the time, or you’ll go berserk. During nighttime, you will be unstable. And—most importantly... you’re going to have to submit to me, your Alpha. Are you willing?”

Princess Davina held his gaze with a stillness so intent it stole the air between them.

Her eyes traced him—first to his, then to his lips, then back to his eyes again.

Each pass was deliberate, almost like she was assessing something.

Rex could make nothing of it—her face could mirror her irritation at being asked to answer the same question again, offended that he doubted her resolve to follow through with this, or perhaps it was simply astonishment at how hesitant he remained even after what she said.

Between them, the silence thickened—stretching until it felt almost tangible.

Then, with a slow, measured grace, her fingers slipped from his hand and came to rest against his chest.

Her right hand rose next, gliding upward until her palm embraced his cheek.

Rex felt the shift in her intent long before she touched him, as she made no attempt to surprise him, no sudden movements, almost like she was confident that he wasn’t going to pull away—she approached with a steady, unhurried advance.

As she neared him, her warm breath brushed the side of his neck.

Princess Davina then lifted onto her toes, her lashes lowering, and pressed her lips to his.

Her tenderness struck him harder than force ever could—the kiss was slow, deep, and filled with what Rex could only explain as meaning that she hadn’t bothered putting into words. It was a passionate kiss, one that explained everything she decided not to say aloud.

Instinctively, Rex’s free hand found her waist, drawing her closer as their lips moved in quiet harmony.

For a lingering moment, the world narrowed to the taste of her, the warmth of her, and the certainty she offered through that single connection.

Just from the kiss alone, Rex knew that there was no need for him to doubt her anymore.

She knew what she wanted, and she accepted everything that came alongside it.

No need for him to question her further.

Rex was the first to pull away, breath uneven, and their saliva still tangled like a bridge.

On the other hand, Princess Davina’s lips remained parted a heartbeat longer than necessary—like she was reluctant to part with Rex’s lips. And though her expression betrayed that brief flicker of longing, she mastered herself quickly.

A faint, composed smile curved her mouth, delicate as the afterglow of the kiss she had just stolen.

”Do you have my answer?”

”Yes...”

”Then can I drink your blood now?”

”Yes.”

Nothing Rex says will change Princess Davina’s mind, and on top of that, he also wants to finish the second part of the Race Evolution Quest—as soon as possible. Other than being a great addition to the pack, she’s also a precious count.

Considering her strength, background, and feats, nobody would complain if Rex turned her.

Princess Davina lifted Rex’s hand and placed it on the side, right beside her cheek.

She didn’t break eye contact.

Her lashes lowered enough to gauge his reactions as she leaned in toward his hand.

Rex watched as Princess Davina pressed her lips against his palm reverently and then sealed the wound completely. A shudder ran through him—as she began to drink. Not in a sensual way; the shudder came from the thought of her turning into a Werewolf.

Deep inside, he was curious—she would be a spectacular Werewolf.

Her mouth drew hard, pulling deep, deliberate gulps that slightly hollowed her proclaim cheeks.

Stillness enveloped them—only the wet, intimate sound filled the void.

Even though the cut wasn’t large, easily covered by her mouth, she treated it like a lifeline—letting not a single drop escape. Every drop that welled up was taken—her tongue sweeping to catch the strays so cleanly that not a trickle slipped to his wrist.

”Just so you know, more blood would mean more intense and stronger transformation,” Rex warned.

Princess Davina blinked her eyes, giving Rex a questioning look.

She wanted to know more, but didn’t want to pull away from the cut either.

”Your previous power and bloodline would be taken into account—as you transitioned to a Werewolf, and the amount of blood dictates your Werewolf side. It’s going to be painful. But for you, even being the most normal Werewolf would be great for you,” Rex explained; then his lips curled into a one-sided smirk. ”But I reckoned you’re not taking anything less than your best.”

Of course, her answer was obvious.

Just from her tightening grip around his forearm, forcing him to stay steady, was enough of an answer.r

Until she reached past her limit, she wouldn’t stop.

”This is going to take a while...” Rex scoffed, knowing that even reaching the blood limit alone for an entity as powerful as Princess Davina would take time. But he’s not in a hurry, ”Drink as much as you want. I won’t run out of blood.”

A minute passed, then five minutes, and then ten minutes.

Rex was waiting for the notification from the System informing him of the limit, but it never came.

Even so, he could see clearly that Princess Davina was starting to feel the effect.

Unlike earlier, when she was resolute and calm as she drank his blood, not affected by the sheer fact that she was going to change race from a Spirit to a Werewolf, her body was now shaking slightly. Her rigid posture, trained through years of noble teaching, was now shaking slightly.

She even drank the blood less effectively compared to earlier, finding it harder and harder to swallow.

Guess it’s time to help her.
