The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1565: Compatible Bloodline

Evelyn was prepared.

No questions could surprise her at this moment, not from these Alpha Primes.

Her gaze was steady, chillingly steady, maintaining eye contact with the most vocal of them all.

It was well-known that in the world of animals, maintaining eye contact is the act of dominance—one that nobody dared to do towards an Alpha Prime. Evelyn used this to assert hers, and the Alpha Primes, especially the slender Alpha Prime, didnʼt take it lightly.

For a few seconds that felt like an eternity, Evelyn remained completely still.

Retaining an upright posture with both hands clasped on her stomach, a posture of grace and power.

Growling angrily, the slender Alpha Primeʼs eyes narrowed.

”Hiding behind your Alphaʼs name is a cowardly act,” He said, raising his claws tauntingly. ”In my era, even a Luna has to back her own words alone, without the cushion from her Alpha. If you want to earn our loyalty, youʼd have to prove it yourself.”

”Lies, thereʼs no such thing.” Mavok intervened.

But the slender Alpha Prime turned at him and raised a brow, ”Is it?”

Hearing this, Mavok shut his mouth.

Just from that alone, it was clear that the slender Alpha Prime was telling the truth.

Almost instantly, all eyes were fixated on Evelyn.

A tense silence enveloped all of them.

Clearly, the slender Alpha Prime has put her in an uncomfortable position.

Evelyn had to prove herself the traditional way, as this is the way of the Werewolves, but with the stark gap in strength, a fight would only end in her defeat, and everyone was aware of it, including her. In the heavy silence, her gaze drifted and found Kyran, already back on his feet.

His eyes were still burning in anger and bloodlust.

In fact, more intense than before.

Hearing that Naela got hurt made him snap, but challenging his Luna in front of him is no better.

Kryan wanted to tear the slender Alpha Prime apart, but Evelyn wouldnʼt let him.

”Donʼt, I can handle this myself.”

Upon hearing this, the Alpha Primes turned and saw that Kyran was already healed completely again.

All of them frowned, but decided to ignore him since Evelyn told him to sit this one out.

Pausing for a second longer, Evelyn finally stepped forward.

But Gistella immediately grabbed her arm, stopping her.

”You canʼt possibly be provoked into a fight, Evelyn. Itʼs not your task.”

”My task is to handle matters that arenʼt big enough for Rexʼs attention, so this is my task.”

”Still, there must be another way.”

”Itʼs fine, Gistella. I can handle this.”

Seeing the confidence behind her gaze, Gistella clenched her fist and reluctantly let her go.

It was clear that there was no dissuading Evelyn when she had already set her mind on it.

Focusing back on the slender Alpha Prime again, Evelyn inhaled deeply and approached gracefully.

ʼAll I want is for Rex to deem me worthy, to walk side by side with him, to be someone he could rely on under any circumstances,ʼ Evelyn thought as the world around her moved in slow motion. Each step seemed to take an eternity to make due to her heightened perception. ʼI donʼt want to see him fighting alone anymore. I want to be able to help.ʼ

Swoosh!

Slowly, deep crimson fire began to swirl around her, starting from her legs and climbing up to her body.

Like a flame serpent, it coiled around her.

Not only that, she also slowly began to transform into her Werewolf form.

Purple-hued fur began to grow as his entire body grew in mass, retaining her slender and toned shapes, but adding the ferocity of a Werewolf. Her Luna Mark on her arm spreads, glowing, emanating an energy that was both soothing and powerful at the same time.

Then, once her Werewolf form was exposed in full glory, the deep crimson flames engulfed her.

Her entire body was swallowed.

And when she came out, the long fur from her head to her neck turned flaming.

ʼIn order to achieve that, I need to keep up with the othersʼ strengths. Adhara was the second one who could mix her Gladiator form into her Werewolf form, but Iʼm not that behind,ʼ She thought as she kept walking, eyes burning with the flames of her Gladiator form. ʼSecond, I need to be able to make hard decisions, without the influence of emotions.ʼ

Iʼve watched Rex, learned from him, and knew that shutting emotions can be learned. Added with the paranoia I inherited from my high-ranking family, I consider all possibilities. And this… as surprising as this was, it was still within my expectations.ʼ

Once she was close enough, a few paces away from the slender Alpha Prime, she stopped.

Seeing her form, the slender Alpha Prime was shocked.

Despite living for a long time, this was his first time seeing a Werewolf like Evelyn.

Unlike Flunra, he wasnʼt aware of the Purple Regalia Bloodline and what it was capable of.

Of course, such a thing put him at a disadvantage.

Moreover, he could also sense that Evelynʼs aura reached even the mid-ninth-rank realm.

It was higher than her aura from earlier.

Seems like he had underestimated Evelyn, but this was still not enough.

”I understand that my occupation might be misleading—which made you underestimate me. But you forgot… Iʼm not from a normal Werewolf pack. Iʼm from the Silverstar Pack,” Evelyn said before she leaned forward, closer. ”If you think because Iʼm a Luna, I canʼt protect myself, youʼre welcome to try.”

As she said that, the moment came to a standstill.

Everyone kept their eyes on Evelyn and the slender Alpha Prime.

All waited to see whether the slender Alpha Prime would actually attack Evelyn, the Silverstar Packʼs Luna.

But there was no movement coming from him.

”No?” Evelyn arched a brow before declaring to everyone. ”I swear on my name, I will make sure not a single harm comes to you, even if you fight me right now. Iʼll stop the Alpha, stop anyone who tries to hold it against you, even if it means I end up seriously hurt.”

Once she said that, she turned to the slender Alpha Prime again.

”Is that enough assurance?”

”Youʼve made a great mistake, Luna. Iʼm even willing to restrict myself to not use my King Mark.”

”Suit yourself, I donʼt mind either, but I advised not to. Anyway, are we going to talk all night or…?”

Krrk!

Angered by Evelynʼs nonchalance, treating him as if he were nothing, the slender Alpha Prime made the first strike, a swipe with his claws. It wasnʼt anything fancy, only a normal horizontal swipe, but clearly, the power behind it would easily destroy those who arenʼt at the peak ninth-rank realm.

Fully expecting Evelyn to be blown away, he was in fact greeted by another sight.

His vision of the world suddenly shifted abruptly.

Confusion assaulted his mind for a moment, but he snapped out of it when he was met with the hard surface of the ground. For a second there, the slender Alpha Prime was stunned—he didnʼt know what had happened. But with a blink, he realized that he had been knocked down to the ground.

Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Evelyn pinning him down.

She had one leg pressed against his back while gripping his arm tightly with the other hand.

”Like I said, I advised you not to pull back.”

”Raargh!”

Forcing himself up with raw strength, the slender Alpha Prime attacked Evelyn with more vigor.

But even then, he couldnʼt touch her at all.

She easily matched his speed and dodged all of his attacks, while still remaining graceful.

Seeing this from the sidelines, Vivian was surprised.

Despite her inadequacy in terms of strength, she could tell that Evelyn was not at the same level as the slender Alpha Prime. But even then, she was easily handling him, ”Was the Luna always this strong? I thought she was the weakest strength-wise.”

Gistella also blinked in confusion, ”I… Iʼm not sure. She wasnʼt supposed to be that strong.”

She was completely oblivious as to what Evelyn did to become this strong.

Not once has she ever seen Evelyn train some new methods that would allow her to get this strong.

Everything was normal, but her strength was abnormal right now.

It was then, her eyes caught sight of the Luna Mark.

Besides the Luna Mark, there was this line that was gradually getting shorter with each passing time.

ʼFlunra did say her bloodline was a parasite, is it because of that?ʼ She thought.

On the other hand, the slender Alpha Prime became more desperate.

He already said that he would limit himself from using his King Mark, but now he was in a pickle as he couldnʼt reach Evelyn, no matter how hard he tried. Not only was she fast, but her movements were a lot more fluid than his.

Growl!

In frustration, the slender Alpha Prime grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it at Evelyn.

”Changing up? Thatʼs a good decision.”

Easily, Evelyn raised her arm to block the dirt.

At that exact time, the slender Alpha Prime faked slashing her face, going down at her legs instead.

His movement was fast, and this movement was unpredictable.

But even then, his claws could only barely touch Evelynʼs skin, not even good enough to draw blood.

Evelyn landed a few paces away and straightened her back.

ʼThe Purple Regalia Bloodline is my new bloodline,ʼ She thought, dusting off the dirt that got stuck in her fur. ʼWaiting for Rex to tell me what it was is not efficient, so I tried it out on my own. Flunra told me the bloodline is called parasite, because I needed to latch onto someone, which was Adhara.ʼ

ʼAnd now, I understood what it was…ʼ She added, smiling inwardly.

Guided by the entity inside her earrings, she was able to crack her bloodlineʼs power.

Not only would she have two lives, able to survive a deadly blow at Adharaʼs expense, but she could also borrow Adharaʼs power. She knew that with the things she was handling, she didnʼt have enough time to train like the others.

But this… this bloodline allowed her to fill her weakness.

It was almost as if evolving into this bloodline was fateʼs doing—the exact thing she needed.

Of course, she wouldnʼt slack because of her bloodline.

She still needs to grow stronger for her own sake and Rexʼs sake.

However, at a time like this, her bloodline could prove extremely useful.

Glancing at her Luna Mark to check, she saw the shortening line was already at a fingerʼs length.

She didnʼt have long before this borrowed power would fade.

But seeing the shocked expression of the Alpha Primes, she deemed that it was enough fighting.

ʼItʼs time to end this.ʼ She thought.

Meanwhile, the slender Alpha Primeʼs rage boiled to the limit.

His King Mark appeared, and without wasting a single second, he charged at Evleyn with malice.

Growl!

Before the chilly claws of the slender Alpha Prime could reach Evelyn, an overwhelming pressure held onto him, forcing him to stop mid-track. A shadow loomed over him, which emanated an aura that could easily suppress him.

All of his bravado as the Alpha Prime was gone in an instant.

Just the edge of the shadow alone was able to strip him of any dominance and pride.

Slowly, hesitantly, the slender Alpha Prime looked up.

It was then he saw it.

A monstrous shadow with a pair of crimson eyes—and curving horns, towering behind Evelyn like the incarnation of death. An entity that was incredibly powerful that he couldnʼt compare—not in this era, or the ancient era.

Just the aura this shadow emitted made it clear who he was to everyone.

The Royal Black Prince in the form of a looming shadow, looking down with authority and might.

Evelyn tilted her head and cleared her throat.

”Thatʼs enough,” She said with finality. ”Iʼve played your game—and now, itʼs your turn. Iʼve earned your loyalty, so now, tell me, what will you do to earn mine?”
