Chapter 797: Crafty

Lu Li was playing a massive game of chess. Ever since he noticed that Elevenless was wearing the Archaedas set, he had been setting things up.

He would rather spend more time bringing down Elevenless’ health, than use any Armor Penetration skills on him.

With five combo stars stored, he could reduce Elevenless’ Armor by half. Regardless of how high Elevenless’ armor was, this would still have a massive impact, but Lu Li didn’t even use it once. It was as if he had completely forgotten about that skill.

But if he didn’t care about it, why would he use all his leftover skill points on it as soon as he found the skill book?

He had been waiting for a critical moment, just like this one.

As soon as the group match started, Lu Li had a chance to use this skill to take out Falling Smile, but he had to consider the other influencing factors.

Not everything was guaranteed to follow according to his plans.

What if Wings of Dawn had some kind of ultimate skill that could turn around the match? Elevenless’ Intervene was a good example.

This was why he had been saving the skill and was waiting for his chance.

Now, he was clinging onto Falling Smile, but he can’t really kill him either. This gave the Wings of Dawn players a false impression that he was just resisting hopelessly.

Lu Li had always been one who never gave up, so no one thought much of his actions.

When the Wings of Dawn decided to focus down Sakura Memories, Lu Li knew that his long-awaited chance had finally arrived. He secretly stored up five combo points and prepared to unleash his Armor Reduction skill on Falling Smile.

If a team wanted to focus down someone in a group match, they would go together.

Falling Smile was following behind his team; he had to ensure that the health bars of his team members were maintained.

At the same time, he suddenly felt a chill down his spine. He knew that Lu Li, who was in Stealth, had appeared once again to show himself. He had begun to look down on this so-called, number one player of Dawn.

Most of the cloth classes could be easily killed by him, but a survival-type Priest in the match grounds were an exception.

Falling Smile was Stunned.

He knew the tricks that Lu Li used. A Shadowstrike with a high completion level was capable of Stunning – this was no secret.

But what could he achieve in one second? Even if Falling Smile couldn’t heal his team members for three to five seconds, they would still be safe, especially Elevenless, who had extremely high Defense Attributes.

By the time Falling Smile realized that the damage of this Shadowstrike was beyond his expectations, it was too late.

Two auto-attacks, three spells and an Ultimate skill ended Falling Smile in a split second. He didn’t have a chance to call for help.

Falling Smile wasn’t the only one left in astonishment; his team members were confused too.

The same scenario had repeated itself over and over again previously, but no matter what Lu Li did, he could only take down half of Falling Smile’s health bar. Once Falling Smile escaped from Lu Li’s control, he could quickly heal himself back up again.

The results this time were an unexpected change.

Lu Li had only spent a few seconds to take out Falling Smile.

”Kill Marks. Memories, use Bloodlust now.”

Lu Li wasn’t left in astonishment by his damage and pounced onto Marks, who had the least amount of health. Under the circumstances where there was a Priest, 40% health wasn’t too concerning, but without one, this amount of health was nothing.

The group match mode was a 5+1 mode – there were five people at the start and a substitute player outside. Once someone died in the match ground, the substitute could immediately enter the match ground.

This usually took about ten seconds.

However, there would be some distance from the spawn point to the location of the fight, so Lu Li and the others had an opportunity to strike.

For about a dozen seconds, Wings of Dawn had no healer.

After Lu Li shouted Marks’ name, Moonlight charged in to control him. Fat Monkey’s Fireball slammed into his face and Lu Li also activated his movement speed boost.

After the Priest had been killed, the tides of the match had definitely been turned, but it was still too early to call it a victory for Ruling Sword.

As such, the more members they quickly eliminated, the more favorable the situation would. Lu Li had to chase their victory in a short span of time.

Marks was an experienced competitor and tossed out everything that he could to protect himself. If he could hold up until the sixth player arrived, there was a chance that he could survive.

The sixth player for Wings of Dawn was a Shaman healer named Lucky. As long as he could make it in time, they could still reassemble into their the golden formation at the beginning.

Unfortunately, Lu Li didn’t give them this chance. He disarmed the long bow from Marks and focused a flurry of attacks onto him.

A lot of Hunter skills required a bow to activate, so being Disarmed was no different to a Mage being Silenced. At the same time, there was nothing more that his team members could do to support him, so he was swiftly killed.

However, the other players from the Wings of Dawn didn’t sit around and watch either. They managed to kill Sakura Memories before she had a chance to cast Bloodlust.

The numbers were in balance at the moment on the match ground; both parties had four people. However, the sixth player of Ruling Sword hadn’t jumped on stage yet. The substitute this time wasn’t Mu Qiu; it was Kitty Likes Meat instead.

Once March Rain was focused down, there wasn’t much difference that Mu Qiu could make either.

If they had more damage output, they might stand a chance, despite the disadvantage in the group match.

Lucky arrived just in time to stop Ruling Sword from killing another player. Lu Li had to give up on his target, Dreaming About Being 13.

Because Dreaming About Being 13 had been focused, he had lost about half of his health.

Elevenless, Dreaming About Being 13, Faker than Wind were all attacking him. If March Rain didn’t use a badge to debuff her Stun and heal him in time, he might have died.

”Monkey, don’t rush in. Let’s play it safe and wait for Kitty,” Lu Li called as Ruling Sword regrouped and waited for their reinforcement.

The audience felt like this was a dishonorable move, but there was nothing that Wings of Dawn could do about it. Their only option was to initiate the fight first. If Kitty Likes Meat arrived, they would have an even slimmer chance of victory.

However, they were unable to act quickly enough, and the arrival of Kitty Likes Meat ultimately decided the final outcome of this match.

Ruling Sword won the match with full points, while Wings of Dawn only received two. This was their worst result of this season, and to rub salt into their wounds, their best tactic had failed them.

Even so, Elevenless had still earned his title of ’The Golden Warlord’.
