Chapter 792: Berserker Set

Lu Li stopped and dashed 15 yards away from Elevenless. He stared intently at the golden shimmering armor and a horrible thought formed in his head.

This was the Archaedas Berserker Set!

Archaedas was one of the Bosses in the Uldaman Instance Dungeon.

It was said that there was a secret room in the depths of Uldaman which contained one of the Titan’s greatest treasures, created by Norgannon himself.

However, no adventurer had been able to acquire this relic because any movement would alert Archaedas the Watchman, who had army of followers. With such a powerful force behind him, he could easily deal with any thief.

By molding the ancient stones from the depths of Uldaman, Archaedas was an ancient and very powerful opponent.

This information had come from a travel note that Lu Li had read about Archaedas.

The Titan’s treasure was complete rubbish, Archaedas dropped a Berserker Set. There were eight pieces – a Helmet, Shoulderpads, a Breastplate, Bracers, Gloves, a Belt, Pants and Boots. This was the dream set for a level 50 player.

If they were all silver-colored, they would be Common grade.

If they were gold-colored, they would be Gold Grade, and if they were dark-gold-colored, they would be Dark Gold Grade.

Elevenless’ armour was clearly golden, and he had all eight pieces.

The drop rate for these items was not very high. If you wanted to obtain this set of equipment, you would need to complete the Uldaman Instance Dungeon on Nightmare Difficultly at least 300 times.

Uldaman wasn’t even a public Instance Dungeon that anyone could access.

This Instance Dungeon was just like the Temple of Hakkar and required an Instance Dungeon Scroll to enter. The Instance Dungeon scroll only gave the players three attempts, and if a group got wiped three times, they would fail.

According to Lu Li’s knowledge, the original natives tended to and guarded the depths of the world. They did not care about the affairs of those who lived above ground until the Well of Eternity’s explosion brought Azeroth into the world. At the same time, these underground beings were also lifted from the ground.

After suffering a great deal, then locked themselves in the stone chambers that they had created.

Uldaman, Uldum and Ulduar were the first cities built by the earthen creatures and were named after the ancient titans.

In these ancient cities, the earthen creatures had been sleeping for nearly 8,000 years. Although it wasn’t clear what exactly awakened them, one day, the earthen spirits of Uldaman arose from their slumber.

It was then that they discovered the changes that their bodies had undergone during their deep sleep. Their originally tough skin had become soft and their ability to control the earth had faded. They were now much more ordinary creatures. This was the origin of the Dwarves.

From a historical perspective, the Uldaman Instance Dungeon was pivotal.

Logically, there shouldn’t have been so many Instance Dungeon Scrolls. Lu Li speculated that the Wings of Dawn had found a way to farm them, all of which were on Nightmare Difficulty or Heroic Difficulty.

Lu Li had not yet entered the game at this point in his previous life, so he didn’t know what had happened. However, he did know that the Wings of Dawn’s rankings had significantly increased in the first league, before they were finally eliminated by Blood Red War Flag, which placed them in fourth.

”What’s wrong? Hahaha, come Lu Li, let’s have a fight between men,” Elevenless said arrogantly.

He was very satisfied with Lu Li’s current expression. He looked completely lost, while Elevenless seemed like he was about to be the winner.

”This is the Archaedas’ Berserker Set, right?” Lu Li asked calmly.

”Oh, you know about it,” Elevenless choked for a moment before quickly recovering and saying, ”But it doesn’t matter. Come here; let me show my affection for you.”

”For that, you’ll have to look for Innocent Child,” Lu Li said as he took two steps back and went into Stealth.

”Why are you being so troublesome? Just let me kill you; you’re just wasting time. I was standing still and not attacking you before, and you still couldn’t kill me.”

Elevenless rarely had to chance to boast like this, and his arrogance was growing out of control.

However, Lu Li simply ignored him. He kept his distance and waited for an opportunity.

”What is the Archaedas’ Berserker Set? Have you heard of it Water Fairy?” Pure White Season asked.

”Nope, but as the name suggests, it’s a Berserker set, so it must be very powerful,” Water Fairy replied flatly. Her hands were clasped and she was beginning to worry about Lu Li.

Dark Wind saw her nervousness and moved the conversation along.

”I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Lu Li is a very knowledgeable person. He was able to determine what Elevenless was wearing with one look.”

In any case, the two people at the table were being extra cautious as they couldn’t get into an argument now.

”I do know this,” Water Fairy said, then paused and continued, ”He likes to study the history and stories of the game, regardless of whether the information is relevant.”

”I see. It looks like there is no other reason why Lu Li could have risen so quickly in this game. The books written in this game are said to have been written over tens of thousands of years. Everyone knows that there must be useful information in those books, but no was actually willing to read them,” Dark Wind praised.

”But why do you know so much about Lu Li?” Pure White Season didn’t miss the chance to tease Water Fairy.

”Look, he’s about to engage,” Water Fairy said, shifting the topic.

There had indeed been exchange on stage. Lu Li had taken the initiative and was aggressively attacking Elevenless.

-22, -25, -18, -36, -119

A set of damage values floated up, but the total didn’t even exceed 200. Elevenless’ total HP with the berserker set was a little over 6,000.

During this period, he had also mixed in a few of his crowd-control skills.

After this, he used one of his escape skills to get away from Eleveless and barely outran his Trample.

Despite what it seemed like, he wasn’t just making some last-ditch effort.

The Archaedas Berserket Set was indeed quite an exquisite Warrior set. It could be used up until level 55 or even 60, but it didn’t come without its flaws.

The first thing was that it had few escaping effects. This could be seen from the previous fight where Elevenless was mostly held under Lu Li’s crowd control.

The second was that the movement speed was slow. Most boots increased movement speed, but the Archaedas Berserker’s Set reduced movement speed by 20%.

This wasn’t surprising as this was the trade-off for the boots having the same armor value as the Breastplate.

On top of these two drawbacks, there was also a third, and because of this third drawback, Lu Li was determined to fight Elevenless to the end. Then, they would see who had the last laugh.
