The Golem Mage

Chapter 462 462: Race Of Death (5).

”We have to find a way to involve them in the blood moon wars somehow!” Alistair exclaimed, but his father the city lord shook his head in disagreement.

”With the sheer number of Tier 7 members in their clan now, even if they no longer feel the need to deploy mages for every blood moon event we wonʼt be able to do a thing, itʼs a privilege kind of thing that is given to strong clans a city, however, if the space gates of our city reaches a higher rank situation, then they would be compelled to fight as well,” The city lord explained with a weak smile.

As he was at a loss as to how to handle the Gordons clan situation.

”So, what do we do now?” Alistair asked, a hint of desperation in his voice.

”Well, first and foremost, we need to focus on helping you break through to the Tier 7 Mage Realm, this would narrow the power gap between us and them,” the city lord suggested.

Alistair gasped in surprise, never anticipating that his father would offer assistance in his journey towards the next realm and helping him officially entering the high rank.

”To be honest, I would have preferred if they had fulfilled our initial request and sent additional guards to aid us in our predicament. Unfortunately, the capital claims to be facing their own troubles and is unable to entertain our plea, even if we were to offer the Lanzt patriarch,” the city lord expressed with a tinge of frustration.

”They assert that the patriarch of the Lanzt clan is not the mastermind behind the incident in our city, surprisingly, they are solely focused on capturing the sixth elder instead,” he continued.

”Now, I find myself at an impasse, i cannot send him to the Gordons patriarch to ease tensions, nor can I secure the compensation I believe we deserve, and It appears that applying for resources to allow you to enter the Tier 7 Mage Realm from the Dragonmir clan might be the most viable option,” the city lord concluded, his voice filled with resignation.

” That is the only way we can maintain our position as the ruling clan in this city, by strengthening our forces, and ourselves” the city lord declared, emphasizing the need for increased power.

The race continued, with the competition for the second position intensifying.

The mage who had showcased remarkable skill in conjuring ice blades and the woman who had originally held the second position were now locked in a fierce battle to secure the runner-up spot.

The other trucks were now lagging behind, leaving these two as the main contenders for the second position.

While they were pushing their driving skills to the limit, they suddenly heard the sound of an approaching car.

Surprised, they glanced at their rear-view mirrors, but the car that had been left behind was still out of sight, and it was unlikely they should be hearing such a sound from it, especially given the distance between them.

In a breath taking moment, Alecʼs truck soared through the air from the top of a cliff and landed back on the track, without wasting a moment, Alec swiftly shifted gears and stepped on the accelerator, racing ahead of both of them.

The two drivers were momentarily stunned and disoriented, but soon snapped out of their daze and redirected their anger towards Alec.

The fact that the new mage, who they had assumed was out of the race, had suddenly appeared again and was ahead of them left them incredulous.

They had been so preoccupied with fighting each other for the second position that they hadnʼt anticipated Alecʼs bold move or reappearance.

The ice mage driver and the female mage driver who had originally vied for second place abandoned their rivalry and accelerated towards Alecʼs Truck, determined to reclaim their positions.

”Pale shoot, Brandon! Thereʼs a mana infusion spot up ahead, youʼre responsible for setting up the next shield,” Alec called out, feeling the pressure that came with being in the lead of a dangerous Truck .

He hadnʼt imagined that he would find himself facing off against the formidable ice mage who could conjure swords of ice so soon after he had escaped last time.

The fact that he could challenge the female mage driver, who had previously held the second position, clearly demonstrated his exceptional driving skills.

Ting!!!

Alec cursed as he came under fire from the relentless female mage driver, She had equipped her car with two machine guns where the front lights were supposed to be, turning her vehicle into a formidable weapon.

”Female mages are known for their viciousness, we need to stay away from them,” Arthur warned from behind the truck , his voice filled with caution as the ladies in the truck rolled their eyes at him.

Finally, Brandon managed to conjure a transparent shield just in time.

And the fiery bullets hammered against the shield, causing it to tremble as though on the verge of collapse, yet Brandon persisted in infusing his mana to keep it intact.

”Create a small opening in the shield for me so I can shoot,” Pale requested.

As a square gap materialized, accommodating Paleʼs machine gun, as he began firing ice bullets at the two trucks tailing them.

However, the female mage driver countered by activating her own energy shield, effectively blocking the ice bullets.

Meanwhile, the ice mage driver skillfully braked and moved behind the female mageʼs car.

As he cleverly used her truck as a shield, biding his time to unleash another ice blade attack.

As the ice blade finally took shape, a chilling sensation filled the cars of both the female driver and Alec, who was leading them in the race.

The sword, adorned with swirling ice runes, was a formidable sight.

”Shit!”

The female driver muttered, feeling the encroaching threat, as she pressed a red button on her dashboard, propelling her forward with a tremendous boost that allowed her to surpass Alec, However, Alec carefully observed her maneuver.

Now, only Alec and the ice mage remained, Alecʼs mind raced, desperately searching for a plan to evade and survive the imminent attack from the ice mage driver behind him.

Everyone in the truck was praying, their faces pale with fear.

As Bullets continued to rain down on the car, but in that moment, it seemed as though the driver had given up on defending against them at all.

Suddenly, a deafening BOOM filled the air, capturing Alecʼs attention.

He turned to look behind him and saw the ice Mageʼs truck losing control, veering off balance and crashing onto the side of the road.

Finally free from the danger that the ice Mage presented, Alecʼs eyes widened as he observed who had caused this chaotic situation.

It was none other than the flaming red truck that he had mistakenly believed he had gotten rid of.

However, the flaming red truck seemed to have found its way back into the race, rapidly closing in on Alecʼs truck.

It was impossible for such speed to be achieved with the mere accelerator.

Alec knew that the true reason behind this ridiculous speed was also like the red button that the lady Mage , who had overtaken him, had pressed.

As the blazing truck approached, Alec watched in horror as the mage on the passager side loaded his magical grenade launcher with an orb , aiming it directly at the rear of Alecʼs truck.

Realization dawned on Alec as he saw all of this through the rear-view mirror.

He now understood how the ice Mage had been gotten rid of and the magnitude of trouble he had found himself in.

Acting swiftly, Alec steered the wheel, cutting into a corner.

With a leap of faith, he slammed his hand down onto the small red button located in front of his dashboard.
