The Golem Mage

It wasn’t as if Alec was abandoning the other soul beasts bound to his bloodline, far from it.

On the contrary, he had been doing everything possible to push each of them to the peak of the Tier 6 realm, believing that once they reached that level, he could easily slay a low Tier 7 demonic beast in the beast forest after morphing with them at that time it won’t matter which he uses he would be free to change therefore making his battle style quite versatile.

What Alec failed to dwell on, however, was that the demonic beasts he was attempting to challenge already possessed battle prowess equivalent to a low Tier 8 mage in the real world.

And if he managed to defeat them while still at the Tier 6 mage realm, this would no longer be a matter of simply fighting above his level, he would be fighting two entire realms above his own, and over his rank.

To put it into perspective, even his master Terran, the one called Prince of Earth, had earned his title because he could slay low Tier 8 lifeforms while still in the Peak Tier 7 mage realm.

Terran was recognized with a title usually reserved for Tier 8 mages, as his strength was considered to border on their level.

If Alec, still at Tier 6, were to display a comparable feat like what his master has done while being in a lower realm then the shockwaves of his achievement would spread far and wide, reaching even beyond the influence of what the War God Mage Academy can contain.

That said, Alec was not reckless, though he knew he could potentially take down a low Tier 8 opponent if he poured in everything he had to it, however he had no intention of doing so in the real world unless forced into a life-or-death battle.

His principle was simple, he would only step onto the battlefield when he was absolutely certain of crushing his opponent. Though battles always came with unpredictable factors, Alec ensured that he kept himself within the range of situations he could fully control.

It was mainly because of his calculated mind that Alec often challenged those stronger than him, while others believed he was reckless, and biting off more than he could chew, Alec’s confidence came from surviving countless life-and-death battles and simulations within the amulet world that had honed him for such moments.

What looked reckless to others was, in reality, the product of Alec analyzing his options hundreds of times until he could see himself winning ninety-nine battles out of a hundred, with the last ending in a draw.

The only time he would even consider recklessly confronting a Tier 8 mage in the real world was if he was absolutely certain he could first defeat a Tier 7 demonic beast of the Beast Forest without suffering crippling repercussions.

With those thoughts pushed aside, Alec turned his focus back to the present, he was finally ready to see what attributes Agnes’ new spirit equipment set would possess and how it might differ from Knight’s.

After all, both sets had been crafted by the same human forger.

Yes to Alec’s surprise, the exact astral figure of the human elder who had forged Knight’s spirit equipment was the one that was once again conjured before him the time he tried to double forge an entirely new equipment set for Agnes.

The Tidefang Legacy Spirit Equipment Set radiated a regal, elemental presence, as each piece was crafted from ivory wolf bone bound with the essence of Tier 6 water and earth power stones.

The robe flowed like a living tide, layered with fang-shaped ridges of pale bone that carried the weight of stone, while the boots bore ripple-etched trims that seemed to channel the steady force of rivers pressing over unyielding ground.

The bracers, carved with tidal runes, pulsed faintly between a soft blue glow and a muted earth-brown hue, as though the ebb of streams and the rumble of quakes resonated through them. At the set’s core stood the Tidefang Conduit, a versatile weapon that shifted seamlessly between wand, staff, and bow.

Its surface was veined with sapphire streams and jagged stone lines, embodying the marriage of fluidity and solidity.

Draped above it all was the Mantle of the Moonfang, a hooded cloak woven from Tier 6 elemental threads drawn from demonic beast hides, its folds crafted by astral forgers to drift like mist and scatter like stone dust stirred by the tide.

It latched naturally onto the central robe, forming a bluish-green mantle that completed the ensemble.

Together, the set radiated perfect equilibrium, the ceaseless flow of water clashing yet harmonizing with the immovable force of earth.

It was a worthy upgrade, one even Alec could not complain about, to him, it felt as if the blood offered during forging served not only to bind the equipment to its future host but also to grant the astral forger insight into the wielder’s essence.

Though Alec knew he had provided some descriptions during the process t

o the system, however even he doubted his words alone could have inspired such a fitting creation.
