The Golem Mage

The Blood Changdao and Kethra’s Dual dagger clashed once again as Alec and Kethra stood face to face for the second time.

However, this time Alec had grown significantly stronger since their last encounter.

Not only had he gained control over his sword intent after watching Sword Saint, but he had also learned how to effectively harness his Blood killing intent beyond simply using it to manipulate his sword Intents to abide to his will.

Kethra swung his leg towards Alec’s head after they got locked in a standoff, But Alec swiftly released his left grip on the Blood Changdao and drew his Bone katana to defend himself.

Hoping that Kethra would reconsider his attack upon seeing Alec armed with a blade, But Alec underestimated the force behind Kethra’s leg strike.

The impact of Kethra’s legs ruthlessly colliding with the katana caused Alec to stumble back, the metallic sound of their clash accompanied by a gust of wind.

Alec adjusted his neck uncomfortably before regaining his composure. Experience new tales on NovelFire.Côm

”This won’t be like last time,” Kethra proclaimed confidently.

”I promise you, this time I will take you down, I’ve studied your moves and I’m sure to find a counter for each one, since you still have no Mana. ”

Kethra adopted a battle-ready stance in response, but Alec maintained a smirking expression as he gazed at his opponent.

Before Kethra could fully comprehend what was happening, he was struck from behind with a powerful blow from a massive Ice mace.

”How unfortunate, He has an enchanted Spirit armor.” remarked Titan, who had just ditched Legion with dealing with Astrid so he could help Alec.

Titan examined his shattered ice mace, a sense of frustration evident on his face.

”I wasn’t even able to pierce through it at all, I suppose I’ll need to approach this from a different angle.”

Still gripping the handle of his broken mace, Titan infused it with additional mana, transforming it into a formidable hammer instead as he felt if piercing does not work then blunt attack should cause some effects.

In his dazed state from the previous impact, Kethra saw a blade speeding towards him and instinctively raised one hand, attempting to defend himself with his dagger.

However, Alec swiftly deceived him with a feint, successfully impaling Kethra in the abdomen with the Bone Katana.

A desperate move was made by Kethra as a small, compressed sphere of wind was thrown towards Alec.

Recognizing the dangerous situation, Alec tactically retreated, but he was too late.

As The wind ball exploded, sending Alec hurtling through the air, while countless sharp wind blades attempted to slice him.

In a display of quick thinking, Alec summoned his Blood Killing intent, transforming it into a massive shield in front of him.

Though Most of the wind blades were deflected by the shield, but some still managed to slip through, leaving Alec with numerous wounds on his arms, face, and legs as he tried landing , doing his best to soften the impact.

But He still collided forcefully with a nearby tree, resulting in a pained cry escaping his lips.

Simultaneously, Alec and Kethra yelled out in pain.

As the moment Alec slammed himself against the wall, Kethra finally managed to draw his bone katana and threw it towards his opponent.

With a loud impact, Kethra’s momentary victory was short-lived as he was slammed into another tree not far from Alec, by Titan using the hammer.

”I’ve got this, Titan, They need your help more, I don’t want any of my golems dying. Now, go and ensure that I won’t regret my decision by the end of this fight,” Alec declared,

watching as his golems began to show signs of breaking from battling Astrid in the same manner, for so long.

Astrid gave his all in the ongoing fight, unleashing a barrage of powerful moves and area-of-effect spells.

From the start, he realized that without support, taking down the golems would be an impossible task.

Their cooperation was so flawless, as if they were part of a well-oiled machine, making it difficult for Astrid to single out and attack Butcher, ultimately tilting the battle in his favor.

As he realised that As long as Butcher continued to absorb his attacks, he wouldn’t be able to turn the tide.

That’s why when the entrusted and crucial task that was assigned to Kethra of using flashy moves to draw the group’s attention didn’t happen he decided to do it himself.

Hoping that once he received assistance from his group , he could escape his predicament and regain control of the fight.

Astrid’s face lit up with a mischievous grin as he sensed the Mana Fluctuations of his team surging towards his location.

And he Finally felt, he could unveil one of the powerful spells he had kept hidden, even though it required a significant amount of Mana from his pool to cast.

The weather took a sudden turn, enveloping the area with a thick fog as crackling bolts of lightning began to gather above their heads.

Legion furrowed his brows and turned his attention towards Butcher, knowing full well what was about to unfold.

”Brother, spare me those pleading eyes. I can’t absorb such an immense output of elemental energy without risking a catastrophic blow. My body simply can’t handle it,”

Butcher begrudgingly admitted as Astrid’s voice echoed with an ominous tone.

”Fall!” Astrid commanded.

In a breathtaking display, the lightning descended upon the golems, and a colossal stone Wall materialized, shielding Astrid as his teammates Finally reached the Battle ground.

They had clearly recognized the magnitude of the spell Astrid was casting, a signal that prompted them to protect him as he unleashed his devastating attack, sinve he had no resistance for element, it was quite funny what a low affinity for an element can cause.

The lightning struck indiscriminately within a fifty-meter radius, not only decimating the golems but also causing substantial damage to the surrounding vegetation.

As the spell stretched on, lasting far longer than expected, even Alec and Kethra momentarily halted their own skirmish to witness the spectacle unfold before them.

Alec’s frustration grew as he surveyed the sorry state of his golems after the lightning strikes ended.

Though they still stood, weapons in hand, But their health bars indicated that another attack of similar magnitude would likely prove fatal.

In a desperate attempt to save his creations, Alec attempted to recall them back into his space pouch.

However, a strange sensation washed over him as he pulled at their threads for the first time since their creation and he felt an unexpected resistance.

They steadfastly refused to be recalled back into the space pouch.

Kethra approached Astrid and the reunited Team of mages.

”Well, that was quite the spectacle, but now it’s time for you to meet your end,” Astrid taunted Alec.

However, Alec’s attention seemed to be elsewhere.

”Why?” he asked, genuinely perplexed.

”We cannot allow you to take us back, Master. If we were to return, you would be in grave danger. We apologize for going against your command, but you have treated us as more than mere creations.”

”Please, let us continue to be there for you,” Titan spoke with sincerity, ditching his weapon and summoning two formidable Ice maces as he positioned himself in front of Alec’s golems, prepared to face the opposing mages.

A single tear glistened in Alec’s eye as he realized the grim reality they faced.

They had struggled against Astrid alone, but now, with an entire group of Tier 4 mages present, things were about to take a turn for the worse.

For the first time since their creation, Alec’s golems were in critical condition, a direct result of Astrid’s wide-ranging lightning attack.

The red HP bars displayed above the golems had never before been so dire.

Alec knew that if they were not restored to their peak condition soon, they would crumble and be destroyed.

He simply couldn’t allow that to happen.

”Please, don’t resist the pull, Come back to me. I have a plan,” Alec pleaded, desperation lacing his voice.

Alec shouted in frustration, but both Legion shook their heads, indicating that he agreed Titan on this stand against his Orders.

This was the first time they had ever defied Alec’s commands, and it happened to be the time he had actually wanted them to obey the most.

”I don’t have time for this,” Astrid declared impatiently, charging towards them with his sword crackling with lightning.

Alec, not one to be outdone, quickly grabbed his bone katana and moved to intercept Astrid to the best of his abilities.

However, before Astrid could get very far, a series of vibrations rippled through the ground.

Smoke billowed up from the spot where Astrid’s lightning strike had connected, and suddenly, a massive Vine rose from beneath, striking Astrid and hurling him back into his team.

Everyone stood frozen, stunned by the unexpected turn of events.

Alec, surrounded by his golems, also found himself rooted to the spot as he witnessed countless vines and plants sprouting from the ground.

The sight was astonishing, and it became apparent that they had all been surrounded by various types of plant creatures.

These creatures had encased them within a massive cage made of powerful vines.

While they had been engrossed in fighting each other, this new threat had silently emerged, completely catching them off guard.
