The Golem Mage

The arrival of the five Tier 8 mages who obstructed Terran’s path confirmed that they belonged to the faction opposed to Mad Dog.

It was evident that they were the ones behind Terran’s Deployment , fully aware of the presence of an Evil Sect Mage in the city.

Their motives had been clear as their scheme unfolded, they aimed to either manipulate the Cardinal’s hand to eliminate Terran or place the blame on him for any resulting city damage, ensuring his capture.

Their plan to restrain Terran had not accounted for a significant variable, the Minotaur, which ultimately showed up and also led to Alfred being summoned.

Furthermore, they were the masterminds behind persuading the Dean to assign the task of guarding to Alfred, believing that his laziness would result in a refusal to help.

However, they failed to consider the possibility that he might respond to a distress call.

As a result, their intricate scheme against Terran crumbled, even though Igor, due to his seclusion, remained unaware of Terran’s Return.

They knew that Terran’s fury would erupt within minutes once he discovered that his disciples had been unlawfully taken to the Abyss Realm.

Anticipating his vengeance, the fog-covered mage sought the aid of the faction’s renowned instructors, who were already known, he had asked for them to impede Terran’s attack on Igor.

The fear was that Terran’s rage could inadvertently lead to Igor’s demise.

Igor’s influential background, backed by support from his father within the academy, bore great significance.

Any harm that befell Igor could potentially trigger yet another internal war, a scenario the opposing faction oppressing the Mad Dog faction aimed to prevent, they might keep on probing the Mad Dog faction but they were not ready for it to escalate because

Despite their larger numbers, none among them possessed the capability to match Mad Dog’s combat prowess.

Terran’s gaze bore a deep disdain as he stared at the five great instructors before him.

While they held a higher realm than him, their indifferent expressions in return only fueled his disdain further.

”What’s the matter, Terran?, Why are you emitting such a hostile aura?, Please remember where you are at the moment,” one of the Great Instructors gently expressed, trying to diffuse the tension.

”Oh, my apologies, I never realized that everyone here noticed the location of this place, which is that it’s meant to be a sanctuary for all student mages on all path of magic,” Terran replied, his tone slightly softened.

”But one of your own led my group of inexperienced and young mages straight into the Abyss Realm, and yet you’re bothered by my behavior, Let’s put an end to the pretense,” Terran asserted

showing little respect to the five elderly mages before him.

The leading mage among the group frowned as he looked at Terran, but he composed himself and spoke up,

”We understand that you’re angry and hurt, but what’s done is done, We just realized that Igor had mistakenly taken them to the Abyss Realm to teach them a lesson after they offended him, but we never realized that they were never brought back.”

As the leading elder continued to explain, Terran became nonchalant, picking at his ears and staring at the leading mage with a dangerous glint in his eyes.

”I already said, let’s cut the bullshit, but you just decided to pour out even more crap, I came here for Igor, not you five fogeys who could die anytime if you don’t make any breakthroughs in your cultivation.”

Terran’s words struck a nerve with the group of mages, challenging the concerns lingering in their minds.

Terran, exhausted by the mind games, no longer felt compelled to show them any respect.

”How dare you talk to us like that!”

one of the mages exclaimed, their anger simmering just beneath the surface.

”Bring out Igor!” Terran demanded once again.

This time, the red tint at the edge of his eyes began to spread, lending him a devilishly handsome appearance.

”That won’t be possible, as Igor has entered a critical stage of self-seclusion, It is against academy laws to interfere with a mage who is on the verge of a breakthrough in their realm,”

the leading mage explained, attempting to justify their actions.

”Spare me all this drama,” Terran scoffed

His voice dripping with disdain.

”Are you seriously telling me that a mage who just reached the (Low) Tier 8 realm can make another breakthrough this quickly?, Don’t make me laugh, You all better leave my face now, or I will treat you all as enemies.”

Terran’s massive great sword materialized in front of him as he called it forth from his space ring.

He had managed to retrieve it from the shameless old man Alfred, who had left him weaponless in such a critical situation previously.

”Hold him down!, It’s clear that Terran has made up his mind and won’t agree to our demands, We shall punish him according to the academy’s laws,”

the leading mage declared, conjuring a flaming bow as the other four mages flew into action, charging towards Terran.

The Centaur Prince felt the urge to intervene and protect Terran, as they had become companions, depending he was going to be living at Terran’s place.

However, Terran warned him against it.

”Don’t! It will only land you in trouble, Don’t worry, I’m not that weak, While I may not be stronger than you, a couple of (Low) Tier 8 mages are well within my range of handling.”

Terran kept his back turned towards the Centaur Prince, sensing the mana fluctuations behind him and quickly alerting him to the danger.

Terran statement made the mages rage more as they felt Terran was looking down on them

The five mages that had appeared were clearly harboring malicious intentions, obstructing Terran even though Igor was the one at fault.

Yet, they claimed to be in the right, boldly mentioning punishment under academy laws.

It was a veiled message to the Centaur Prince, implying that he should not get involved in a conflict involving members of the War God Mage Academy.

If he did, other instructor-level mages who were currently observing would be obligated to join the battle to stop him.

The four mages closed in on Terran, with the first two brandishing swords and wasting no time in launching their attacks, aiming for vital parts of his body.

Terran swiftly swung his immense great sword in a wide arc, successfully deflecting their strikes and sending the two mages flying backwards several meters in the air.

As he prepared to strike the remaining two mages, his danger senses went into overdrive, warning him of imminent danger.

Reacting quickly, he swung his sword backward, attempting to defend himself.

Unfortunately, it seemed he was a split second too late, as his sword missed its intended target, slightly.

”Puchi!”

A flaming arrow pierced through the air, finding its mark in Terran’s abdomen.

The impact nearly caused his mind to shut down, realizing how close he had come to a devastating injury.

He soon realized that these five mages were not here to merely stall him, they intended to kill him.

His cautious approach had been exploited by the leading mage’s sneak attack, aiming for his heart.

Fortunately, his sword had grazed the arrow and altered its trajectory slightly, narrowly missing his heart.

Had he not been able to deflect it, he would have likely been severely injured or even killed, mistaking their actions as a standard tactic to stall him.
