THE GOD EATER

Chapter 1258: Lower Difficulty And Higher Output.

Since the work done changed from 3 units to 5 units, he could now do 1.2 × 5, or 6 units of work in the same amount of time. In comparison, one Divine Metac could do only 1 × 3, or 3 units of work.

In summary, he could now achieve a maximum of 18.5% conversion efficiency at 2 times the speed. With this level of progress on the line, he didn’t hesitate to take the next step.

He added a third Divine Metac, the Bone Devourer. The Bone Devourer created a 3-peak wave. But when it fused with the 5-peak wave, it produced a 7-peak wave, reducing the difficulty to 7/3, which was 2.33.

From there, he kept adding more Devourer Metacs. He didn’t stop until he used up 13 Devourer Metacs. By then, the small waves had fused into a 27-peak wave, reducing the difficulty to 27/13, or 2.08.

Now, the small waves could do 1.44 times as much work as one Divine Metac. The maximum efficiency had also increased to 100%, so the work he was doing now was with 27 units of Divinity. This raised his overall output to 1.44 × 27, which was 38.9.

”100% conversion at 13 times the speed,” he said, excited. ”What could be better than this?”

The answer was to add more Divine Metacs to the small waves. He had only used 13 Devourer Metacs out of 88, so he had 75 more to use. He activated those 75 Metacs and began fusing them into the 27-peak small wave.

Unfortunately, he had to stop after reaching a total of 27 Devour Metacs. He had to stop because after he reached this point, one Devourer Metac was responsible for one Divinity, and he couldn’t add more.

On the surface, the 27-peak small wave didn’t change. The only change was that 27 Devourer Metacs were producing it now, not 13. This reduced the difficulty from 27/13 to 27/27.

The difficulty fell from 2.08 to 1 instantly, triggering a domino effect in his output. With the fall in difficulty, the amount of work he could do in three seconds was now 3/1, which was the inverse of what he could achieve with one Hunting Form Metac.

Since he was working with 27 units of divinity at the same time, his total output in those three seconds was now 27 × 3, or 81 units.

Therefore, compared to the 3 units of work he could do before, he was now 27 times faster. This brought a smile to his face, which only grew wider when he encountered his first Gemini youngling.

’It seems it’s time for the Olympic Sect to make itself known,’ he said, grinning broadly.

He really was in a good mood. Not only was he making swift progress with the conversion efficiency, but he was also earning a lot of divine crystals and celestial gold from the Dao Lords. Now that he could finally set up his Divine Court, he couldn’t be happier.

As he was relishing this good mood, he activated the Mountain Lord Ability and used it to dump the Divine Mountain onto the ground.

The golden mountain appeared in the world once more, with him standing on top of it, looking down on the world. Nearly everyone in the Domain, from the lowest mortals to the highest Dao Lords, immediately focused their attention on him.

As his gaze wandered the world from his lofty position, he thought, ’One day, I’ll rule the Sea of Worlds. One day, I’ll be the Domain King.’

He had a lot of problems in his life to deal with, like the controller of the Devouring Pathway, who promised to come after him, and Astra, who was always following him around and could initiate a challenge at any moment.

Of all of his problems, the Gemini race was the most pressing one, though. They might not be the most serious threat, but they were the closest to having the courage to kill him.

Astra was powerful, but he had at least been able to put up a fight against the two-eyed cyclops. Being able to resist became a luxury when the guardian attacked him. He and his past selves folded like wet origami paper with a single attack. That’s how bad things got for him.

But as bad as his situation was, he also had advantages that gave him hope of one day defeating all his enemies and becoming free to do whatever he wanted throughout the universe.

’One day, I’ll defeat Astra and take all of his origin talent. I will have what he was so proud of.’

’I will also defeat that black hole that wants to eat me. When I do, I will become the controller of the Devouring Pathway across the entire universe.’

’Finally, I’ll defeat the Gemini race and their god king. I might even become their god king if I feel like it,’ he thought, his heart brimming with boundless hope.

After enjoying a moment’s break and indulging in his fantasies, he shook his head and said, ”That’s enough daydreaming for a while. Let’s get back to work.”

Then his true body descended the mountain, leaving his avatar behind. His true body resumed its aimless wandering while grinding his conversion efficiency and trying to make more Supreme Metacs.

As for his Mountain Lord avatar, it stayed behind to manage the Divine Mountain. Meanwhile, his Rank 9 avatar was still in the Blessed Heaven World, fleecing Dao Lords of their hard-earned divine crystals and celestial gold.

After acquiring 85,500 years of divine crystals and 10,100 units of celestial gold, the avatar gave them to the true body. Then the avatar left to recruit mortals for his sect.

Loki had a lot on his mind while he was working. Some of his thoughts were related to the matter of expanding his sect. He was thinking about expanding the advantages of the Olympic Sect and making something like the Domain System.
