THE GOD EATER

His voice became full of pride as he said, ’Anyway, the power I have now is still impressive to deal with other cultivators. If there is a way to advance to rank 9, then I should be able to achieve it with this power.’

’If someone like me can’t advance to rank 9 in this Sea of Worlds, then no one else has the right to. And if this level of power is not enough, I will assimilate every world in the Sea of Worlds and see where it takes me.’

His tone became wistful as he said to himself, ’I wonder what will happen if I take the heart of a world like the Blessed Heaven World. It is a super world that can support rank 9 beings, so if I absorb its heart, maybe I can use it to advance to rank 9.’

’Unfortunately, I don’t know where the core of the Blessed Heaven World is. Something is blocking it, and I suspect that it is the Dao Lords.’

Then he shrugged as he thought, ’Anyway, I can always give quantity a shot if quality is not available. If I assimilate all of the small, medium, and large worlds in the Sea of Worlds, I don’t believe opportunities to advance to rank 9 won’t open up.’

’Of course, I must only increase the size of my Cave Heaven without being a member of the Four Directions Sect or any sect for that matter, or I would be risking being discovered for breaking the limit on the size of one’s Cave Heaven.’

After he thought of this limit and what Money Body had to do to circumvent it, he sighed and said, ’I guess Money Body is only receiving what he has done to everyone he forced to surrender their Cave Heaven. It is retribution for him, and he deserves to be enslaved since he is weak.’

’I deserve to be enslaved too. But I have Fenrir, so that won’t be the case for long. With enough eating and people like Many Eyes looking for worlds for me, I will become too strong to be enslaved.’

The thought of that seer with many eyeballs floating around him made Loki smile and say, ”Speaking of Many Eyes, I should thank him for his help. I wonder where he is now and what he is doing.”

As it so happened, the Many Eyes he was thinking about was also thinking about him. But Many Eyes didn’t feel like thinking about him was enough. Many Eyes also wanted to meet him and was taking steps to accomplish this.

Of course, Many Eyes didn’t want to meet in the same circumstances as last time. Many Eyes hoped to make some changes, especially in the position of hunter and prey, so the things Many Eyes was doing to orchestrate a meeting with him were out of the ordinary.

If Many Eyes wanted to meet someone in a normal way, he would send a message to them. But in this case, Many Eyes didn’t send a message to Loki. Instead, he sent messages to other people and spoke to them about Loki.

One of the people he was talking with asked him, saying, ”Are you sure that this is the fellow who took my medium world?”

Many Eyes replied, saying, ”I am 100% certain of it.”

Actually, he wasn’t sure if Loki was the one who took that medium world since he wasn’t there to see it happen. In fact, he doesn’t know if the medium world is missing at all because he hasn’t been there to see it lately.

There are a lot of things he doesn’t know for sure, but he is confident that Loki was the one who took the medium world, and he didn’t care if Loki wasn’t the one.

Even if the disappearance of the medium world had nothing to do with Loki or was one big misunderstanding, as long as Loki died, he would be satisfied with this misunderstanding.

So his voice was full of certainty as he said, ”I am sure he took the medium world because he said he would take it and because he has been stealing many worlds, not just that one.”

The person on the other side of the communication channel said, ”I see. What I don’t understand is what gave them the confidence to steal from me?”

Many Eyes said, ”I don’t know, but I suppose he is confident because he is elusive. If you can’t catch him, you won’t be able to do anything to him.”

The other person chuckled and said, ”Is that so? Then I guess I will have to teach this person a lesson in respecting their elders.”

Just as this person was about to continue, Many Eyes cut them off and said with an excited voice, ”He is here. I can see him.”

He is not talking with this person face-to-face. They are only communicating through the divine constellation network. Many Eyes also isn’t looking at Loki directly. Instead, he is using his Divine Metac to spy on Loki.

In fact, he is nowhere near Loki. But that doesn’t stop him from orchestrating a meeting with Loki that suits his preference. Right now, his arrangements are working nicely, and everything is in his favor.

He was somewhere in the second heaven. But in his field of vision, he saw the thief streak through the void very close to the Blessed Heaven World.

The thief was close to the Blessed Heaven World and was about to reach it. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t be able to do so because two divine beings came running from nearby to intercept him.

One of the divine beings was a black and vague shadow. That was all he could see about their appearance. If not for the fact that he knew the identity of this person beforehand, he wouldn’t be able to figure out who they were based on how they looked.

If there was one thing that could clue him into the identity of this person, it is the fact that they are an indistinct shadow with three stars in their Life Fires.
