THE GOD EATER

While he was deep in thought, he saw the blue eyes of the mind hunter light up with a full glow before his hair caught fire. Not many people noticed this change because the changes were actually mental, not physical.

To those who couldn’t see mental constructs, the mind hunter looked the same. Only those who could see the mind and mental constructs noticed this change, and even fewer people realized what it meant.

When Loki saw what happened with the mind hunter, he furrowed his brows because it meant that the mind hunter had activated his Life Ability.

If this Life Ability has been activated, it is likely that the mind hunter had attacked someone. So he looked around for signs of an attack.

He checked every rank 4 cultivator, but didn’t see any blue flame attached to the mind of anyone. So he stopped being worried and relaxed.

But the enslavement master couldn’t relax. She was frowning in displeasure because what the mind hunter just did had affected her plans.

She had sent a tiny insect to sneak up to the mind hunter and attach to his robes. The insect was a wasp called the fairyfly, and it is smaller than a mite, but the mind hunter had noticed and had attacked the insect.

The success of the mind hunter in foiling her plan can only mean that he is thoroughly vigilant against her, as that is the only way he can notice something so small trying to sneak up to him.

Even if he had an edge in noticing the approaching insect by seeing its mind, the fact that he was willing to attack some random insect proves that he is suspicious of her and unwilling to give her any chance to take advantage of him.

She finds this frustrating because it means that the mind hunter will definitely compete with her for the title of the most useful soldier. Not only that, the fact that he could find and attack her insect means that she won’t be able to gain any advantage over him with her insects.

These two things made her worried, and her mind became full of plans for the Heavenly Battlefield in an attempt to come up with a solution. On the other hand, the mind hunter had a harmless smile on his face as if nothing had happened.

Just like that, the airship traveled through the heavens to the site of the crash of a small world. When they arrived, Loki realized that he had seen this small world before.

This small world appeared to be a large crystal ball. It was about 5,000 meters across, and its crystal shell possessed a shiny silver sheen. It was the same silvery color of his Life Ability in its natural state.

There were also cracks spread all over the surface of the shell. These cracks have healed in that they have closed up, and he can’t see the insides of the crystal through them, but the fracture lines across the crystal surface are still visible.

Despite all of these changes, he recognized the small world to be the same world he saw three months ago. He remembered that he had witnessed the subjugation and crashing of this small world.

Even now, he can still remember the pangs of hunger that Fenrir had disturbed him with upon witnessing the downfall of this world. This brought a smile to his face.

He smiled as he said to himself, ’We meet again, old friend. This will be a lovely reunion, I promise you.’

The world didn’t hear his thoughts or reply, so he couldn’t be sure if the world was happy to see him. But he was sure that Fenrir was glad to meet this small world again.

In fact, he could feel Fenrir licking its lips. But this might not be because Fenrir is glad to meet this particular small world. After all, any small world could make Fenrir salivate in anticipation.

Unfortunately, no matter how eager Fenrir was, they couldn’t indulge in their gluttony just yet. They had to wait for the other sects to arrive. Then they had to wait for the permission of the divine beings before they could partake in what promises to be an all-you-can-eat buffet.

As it turned out, the Four Directions Sect was not the first to arrive. The Sword Way Sect was the first to arrive.

When their airship arrived, they found a large flying sword already there waiting. There were soldiers on the flying sword wearing either white robes or red robes.

All the soldiers wearing white robes had a sword, while the ones wearing red robes held a sword or a range of other weapons from spears to whips.

The Four Directions Sect was the second to arrive, while the Martial Body Sect was the third to arrive. The giants and other warriors came riding a large flying whale.

The fourth to arrive were the Nexus of Truth Sect and the Myriad Phenomenon Sect. The two of them arrived together, from the same direction, and stopped together.

The circumstances of the arrival of these two sects caused the people from the Sword Way Sect and the Martial Body Sect to become worried and frown.

This was because the way the Nexus of Truth Sect and the Myriad Phenomenon Sect came together might be a coincidence, but if it wasn’t, it indicated that something wasn’t right.

Only the people of the Four Directions Sect weren’t worried about two sects working together. This was because they were already used to the other sects working together against them.

A few minutes later, after the arrival of the last sect, five divine beings arrived. Each one was a perfect being made manifest. Their bodies might not have been made of gold, but they were still sculpted from perfection.

The divine beings didn’t look at them or spare them a glance. They simply took their place above the small world and ignored everyone else.
