The Genius Evolution Store

[The genius of the century. A 17-year-old silver-grade evolution master.]

[The creator of a new concept. Turning active energy into passive energy.]

[Kallarnos University is not treating the genius well? Absolute silence when asked about life in the university?]

Once the articles were published, the peaceful night immediately shattered.

Obviously, the students and teachers at Kallarnos University couldn’t help but see this news.

[Hector007: Holy shit. A 17-year-old silver-grade evolution master? Isn’t that basically the youngest in the world?]

[Karina: Is he truly a genius? Surely, it’s a professor’s research, right?]

[Mia-nya: Just look at the conference video. There is one. You will know whether he’s the one doing it or not.]

A video of Auric debating against a head researcher was posted on the internet as well.

Auric actually dominated the entire debate to the point where his opponent couldn’t even do anything and had to resort to such an underhanded question.

In addition, the video of Professor Schad admitting the fact that his research couldn’t succeed without Auric proved Auric’s ability even more.

The students went crazy because this meant Auric not only helped with 30% to 40% of Professor Schad’s research, but he also did his own research.

[Kiov: Damn! Did Bro just defeat an adult that hard? Look at that guy. It looked like his soul was leaving his body.]

[HughesHercules: How come this guy is not a student of Kallarnos University already?]

[K2: I’ve already been his fan since two days ago. Prince, pick me up, please!]

[WhatTheFusion: Is that the real K2? Holy! I just checked this guy’s profile. Look at him!]

[Williamate: No! I’m going to my girlfriend’s place right away to stop her from accessing the internet!]

[TheSenTheSorTheShip: The world is unfair. People said that the world was quite fair when it came to talent. This is definitely the perfect example of why they’re wrong.]

[Tutenus: No way. He must be terrible at something. He’s an evolution master and also a good researcher. That means his strength shouldn’t be that high. He might just focus on increasing his energy instead of honing his fighting prowess.]

[Milamelo shared a video.]

[NightSword: Bro! Stop your girlfriend from posting that video. Ask her to delete it, please!]

The video of the battle between Auric and Trevor spread like wildfire. People thought that since Auric was so good in his studies, he shouldn’t be that good at fighting.

Yet, the video showed that wasn’t true.

[AlwaysLoveYou: My prince completely crushed Trevor. Is Kallarnos University’s standard decreasing, or is my prince just that good?]

[AuricStan1: It’s definitely the latter. He’s just too perfect. He’s got the looks, the talent, the brain... The only thing he lacks is me in his life.]

[AuricStan2: You sly dinosaur. You changed your username so fast. What he lacks is me, not you!]

[HeartForYou: Why did he say he doesn’t like the life at our university?]

[CanWait: Can’t you see the post in the forum? After that defeat, there was an influx of news asking our prince to be expelled. It’s definitely because of that fight.]

[StanInvestigator: We definitely need to find out the truth.]

[HeartSecurity: I saw Trevor’s parents storming into the vice principal’s office. The vice principal must have supported him. Drag the vice principal out! Principal, please come back from your trip. We need you to bring justice!]

Katarina read the forum debate with amusement.

She thought it would explode the next day, but it looked like the journalist that interviewed Auric moved so quickly.

”Unfortunately, as the vice president of the student council, I can’t say anything that will create a negative effect on the school.

”At this rate, people are going to figure out what is happening in the school. The reputation has been damaged, and the investigation will begin. The fact that the university has been keeping Trevor for a few days instead of expelling him right away according to the bet has shown favoritism.

”It’s clear that Kallarnos University’s reputation will take a hit. I don’t know how big this scandal will be.

”Well, Rose told me about the investigation as well as the order of the president. Maybe he will have to step down or be forced to graduate because of this scandal...” Katarina shook her head helplessly. ”It looks like the university will be noisy tomorrow.”

...

Unlike the students, the reaction of the people in the capital city was different.

As soon as they saw the news, they had mixed feelings. All this time, they believed that Kallarnos University was the best university. This was the first time such a huge scandal had appeared.

[What’s with that silence? Are they not punishing the student who is in the wrong? Has fairness disappeared from Kallarnos University? Once the fairness is gone and exposed, Kallarnos University will end up facing a huge backlash.]

[Is this how Kallarnos University is supposed to behave? It’s so embarrassing.]

[What is happening at Kallarnos University? Are they trying to bury talent like this? Just look at him. So humble despite having such an achievement. If he hadn’t encountered a problem, he wouldn’t even have revealed this. What had caused such a humble student to reveal his talent so fast?]

[The country needs to take care of this talent.]

Obviously, the mayor of the capital city, who happened to be the first daughter of the Relesha family, Luriel, couldn’t help but smile.

”It looks like dear Auric has done it. The capital city will be quite chaotic now. I don’t know how they will handle Trevor’s family. Should I help and crush that family? I don’t have to do it. Their stock price will most likely drop tomorrow.”

Luriel crossed her legs. ”I have heard about it, but dear Auric seems to be more amazing than I initially thought. If I’m not mistaken, Jeremy has a plan for this. What’s the plan again? ’Winning is good and if we can’t win, we will try not to lose’ strategy?”

Luriel shook her head. ”Well, I will just monitor the situation for now. Still, he will probably need more protection. Then again, Grandfather should know about it as well... I guess I should just go to sleep.”

...

The mayor of the capital city wasn’t the only one who read this news. The mayor of Thunderer City also read it.

Mayor Petrus couldn’t help but smile upon seeing one particular article.

[Mayor Petrus appreciates my talent and has been supporting me.]

With this article, his reputation would rise. Thunderer City would become more famous.

In fact, he might be able to get a promotion after this. Becoming a minister might even become a possibility.

”Still, when did this boy become a silver-grade evolution master? I wasn’t even informed about it, or I would have increased the sponsorship.” Mayor Petrus was already considering increasing the sponsorship.

Unfortunately, Auric had revealed his talent. ”For now, I need to investigate what happened to him at Kallarnos University. It is good if he stays in Thunderer City. If it gets too dangerous, I might have to dispatch an even more powerful agent to protect his mother.”

...

”Sir! Have you seen this?” A woman showed the news of Auric.

The man in front of her was none other than the Supreme Chief of the Evolution Association, Lucasta Robein.

Chief Lucas looked at the news with a calm expression. ”I see. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.”

”Y-Yes...” The woman was slightly startled, not expecting that Chief Lucas would actually act so calm.

As soon as the woman left, Chief Lucas’s expression turned grim.

Chief Lucas opened his own computer to find the file about Auric.

After looking at it, he muttered, ”I see. The tests are authentic. It looks like I have to address this soon.

”Not long ago, the gathering techniques shocked this country. And now, this kid appears...

”There is also a mention of his master.” Chief Lucas crossed his arms. ”To be honest, to be able to produce a gathering technique, this evolution master must be extremely powerful and knowledgeable.

”He should be at least an adamantine-grade evolution master like me. Yet...”

Chief Lucas looked at the debate Auric had, especially the part where Auric answered the question regarding the gathering technique.

It wasn’t explicitly mentioned, but Chief Lucas knew that they were talking about the gathering techniques.

”The fact that he is also well-versed in gathering techniques...” Chief Lucas couldn’t help but furrow his brow. ”Is he related to Sunlight, the creator of the gathering techniques?

”No, wait. If I look at the report, this kid helped his professor to complete the research. And the research...”

Chief Lucas read it carefully and realized something. ”It actually requires a good understanding of elemental manipulation. His senses ought to be extraordinary.

”Wait. Don’t tell me... This kid is actually the one helping that mysterious Sunlight create gathering techniques? This kid’s senses were the last key that allowed the gathering techniques to be created...

”In exchange, Sunlight taught him as an evolution master, which turned out to be something he was good at. Then again, if he possessed such senses, it was quite clear why he could become a silver-grade evolution master at that age.”

Chief Lucas looked at Auric’s profile and investigated him a bit. ”Hmm... His father is a material store owner. Does he know about materials from his father? He was also an ace student in high school. He must be good at studying.

”What if he has studied about materials from his father and this mysterious teacher has been preparing all the techniques related to evolution?”

Chief Lucas trembled. ”I might have connected the dots. This Auric might be the disciple of Sunlight. He may be the only way to connect to Sunlight.

Chief Lucas couldn’t help but look at the interview again and saw a question. ”Has Kallarnos University gone insane? While it’s true that they can do whatever they want outside the academy, the university should have prevented anything from influencing their system within the academy.

”This Trevor or some shit should have been expelled immediately. Or is it because he’s just an outsider, not someone from Kallarnos University, that they think he’s easy to bully?

”If you like insiders so much, then shouldn’t I help my own people?” Chief Lucas smirked. ”Should I meet him? Or should I warn the president again? Once you know everything, it’s not hard to connect this person to Sunlight.

”But what if Sunlight sees this as a threat or something? Auric Elfe is still young, so he must be impulsive. This action... must be from him. Auric Elfe must have planned all this without consulting his teacher.

”However, there is one thing that concerns me. Auric Elfe is said to have a unique element...”

Chief Lucas suddenly fell silent. ”What if they use the gathering techniques for unique element users? With the help of Auric’s senses, his teacher might be able to create a gathering technique for unique-element users. Doesn’t that mean his students will learn everything from him?

”No, wait. If that’s the case...” Chief Lucas felt a chill down his spine. ”He can control multiple elements. He might be able to control everything in the future. In addition, his knowledge about gathering techniques...

”This kid... Can’t he become the successor of Sunlight? Or is he Sunlight himself? Well, that’s rather a stretch, isn’t it? His experience and knowledge shouldn’t be at that level yet, but he should have some knowledge already.

”I see.” Chief Lucas looked at the ceiling. He could see the ending that Sunlight had prepared.

”Sunlight might want his student to become an all-elements evolution master. No, wait. Won’t he become a unique-element evolution master first? The only way to confirm it is to wait for the Sun Store to publish a unique-element gathering technique.

”The moment that book is published, all my guesses will be confirmed. At that time, this kid...” Chief Lucas couldn’t imagine how far Auric could go.

Chief Lucas closed his eyes, calculating everything. The existence of Auric was like a treasure.

At the same time, he was trying to figure out the will of Sunlight. If he made a rash move, Sunlight might choose another country so that his student could develop according to his plan.

After twenty minutes, Chief Lucas opened his eyes, understanding what he needed to do.

”I should be the only one who has access to this information so I can reach this conclusion. In that case...”

Chief Lucas moved Auric’s folder and locked it as a top-level secret.
