The First Store System

Chapter 738: A New Day in the Store!

Since Aakesh could only choose one of the two, Aakesh decided to spend his reminder of todayʼs time activating his class skills.

After making his decision, Aakesh rarely gave a second thought to it. The rarity wasnʼt bound to happen today, so Aakesh made his move right away and rushed toward the busiest spot in the settlement.

Yesterday wasnʼt very fruitful for Aakesh, so hoping for a beneficial day, Aakesh reached his destination in only a few seconds since the distance was only a few thousand miles.

After reaching his destination, Aakesh activated the skill, Universal Eyes. And not long after, a 3D real-time projection of everything happening in the range of ten Yojanas around him appeared in front of Aakesh.

(A/N; One Yojana= 8 miles/12 km.)

There were several grayed people in the projection, but they werenʼt Aakeshʼs targets. The next moment, Aakesh activated another class skill, Fortune Eyes.

The next moment, another small projection on top of the previous one appeared. It didnʼt have the same range as it only covered a radius of one yojana of distance around Aakesh.

Aakesh began searching for a suitable candidate from the smaller projection. His search bore him no fruits as Aakesh didnʼt find a single being that had enough fortune to grant some rewards.

Aakesh didnʼt move as there was a constant flow of people in the area.

Unlike earlier, Aakesh didnʼt feel a pinch when the skill Fortune Eyes devoured one energy unit every second.

Time flew by, and after waiting for three minutes, Aakesh finally found a suitable candidate.

The being in question was a male human. His fortune wasnʼt that great, but it had still breached the minimum number of golden lines Aakesh wanted, so he chose the human.

Aakesh also noticed a large number of black lines adjacent to the golden lines. In comparison, the number of red lines was lower.

The human in question had a higher chance of dying or getting a great reward. The chances of him getting injured were lower than his death.

Time flew by.

After following the human for seven hours, Aakeshʼs efforts came to naught.

The number of black lines won in the end, as the human came across a group of Level 255+ creatures from other races in the competition the man had participated.

It was his bad luck since the group had just gathered, and he came across them.

Even if Aakesh wanted, he couldnʼt turn the situation favorable for the human in question since a Level 300+ was in charge of the competition, and only the locals of the settlement could participate in it. Aakesh was neither local nor could he defeat a group of Level 255+ creatures or a Level 300+ being.

Aakesh stopped thinking about the death of the man and his failure since success and failure were only the two sides of a coin. If it were something in control of Aakesh, he would have pondered over it, but since things were out of control for Aakesh from the start and he could only witness without interfering, there was no point wasting his time over it.

Since there were still a few hours left in Panagea, Aakesh returned to the earlier spot and reactivated his two skills.

[Host, the sun is about to rise on the Anga continent!]

The systemʼs emotionless voice suddenly rang inside Aakeshʼs head. Aakesh was about to select his third candidate for the day, but he stopped since it was now time for him to open the store.

Unlike his day in the store and the quest, his time in Panagea went completely opposite. Both of his suitable candidates died, so Aakesh got nothing from those events.

Except for traveling over the settlement and a few areas around it, Aakesh gained nothing from his day in Panagea.

The next moment, Aakesh thought of leaving. Not long after, a white light engulfed him.

The light disappeared as quickly as it had engulfed Aakesh, and with its disappearance, Aakesh had also vanished from Panagea.

A few inhabitants of Panagea witnessed the scene of Aakesh leaving. They had curious expressions as they approached the spot. But the next moment, their eyes turned blank. The color in their eyes returned soon after. Somehow they had forgotten about their curiosity about Aakesh leaving or the scene of Aakesh vanishing, and they got busy with what they were doing before the emergence of the scene.

Unaware of what had happened after he left, Aakesh appeared in the familiar storeʼs hall.

Since there were still a few minutes left before sunrise, Aakesh summoned the door to his room.

After taking a bath and changing to a different dhoti that had the same color and exact characteristics, Aakesh exited his room.

Soon, Aakesh got the notification of the sun rising on the Anga continent from the system.

Aakesh then stood up from his chair and went to the door.

With a clicking sound, Aakesh opened the door, and a familiar scene of millions of people thronging the radius of three thousand miles around the store welcomed his sight.

At the top of the thronging crowd, Aakesh saw Maria and her group. Not far from her, Elanna and her family stood. The front of the crowd was dominated by the people who had been coming to the store even before it got famous.

Aakesh didnʼt let the enthusiastic crowd wait longer as he turned around and returned to his chair. While the crowd entered the store like a raging tide.

In no time, the overcrowded area around the store turned void of any living beings.

The store didnʼt seem overcrowded despite tens of millions of people in the store.

Out of the people, the majority of them would go to Panagea, while the remaining ones would go to either the cultivation arts room or the weapons room.

Out of the Panagea goers, those who had cards directly went toward the portal room, while those who didnʼt have one created a line near Aakesh and paid for their services.

Rarely did new customers enter the store this early in the morning, but today, there was a group of hundred unfamiliar faces in the bunch.

Aakesh recognized them as one group due to their same race and crowding around a single person.
