The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Liu Yunong was genuinely moved after listening to Fu Yu.

Fu Yu’s herbal cuisine skills were praised by Liu Shaoxian, and even Xiao Jiping personally commended Fu Yu’s solid grasp of herbal properties.

And now, Fu Yu spoke with conviction, suggesting he really had some effective herbal cuisine recipes!

Liu Yuqing seriously asked, ”Fu Yu, can you prepare a herbal cuisine course specifically for removing spots?”

Fu Yu nodded, ”Yeah, I’m quite skilled in that area.”

With these words, Liu Yunong felt at ease, and a smile naturally spread across her face.

She also looked at Fu Yu with more satisfaction.

After listening to the conversation between Fu Yu and Liu Yunong, Liu Yuqing didn’t quite grasp the situation at first.

She looked at Fu Yu in surprise and couldn’t help but ask, ”Fu Yu, when did you learn herbal cuisine cooking?”

Fu Yu sighed.

Ah...

Having a girlfriend who’s also a colleague has its pros and cons.

Both sides know everything about each other’s work.

The way he tricked Yao Shi back in the day, could it be exposed when he uses it to fool the Liu Sisters now and in the future?

The truth is, his mom doesn’t understand herbal cuisine, let alone family and friends, who are usually too busy with their own livelihoods to bother with health nourishment.

They say one lie requires countless lies to sustain it.

There’s some truth to that.

Fu Yu looked at Liu Yuqing with a bit of difficulty.

If they truly got married and she went home with him, it would be hard to keep it a secret.

Just thinking about it was troubling.

But right now, it’s all for his future sister-in-law, so he couldn’t be vague.

Thinking about this, Fu Yu couldn’t help but sigh silently.

Summoning courage, he said: ”I’ve always been interested in this area before, and later, I learned a bit through osmosis with my family, but I’ve never had the chance to practice. This time, it’s actually Chef Yao who gave me the opportunity. I take a day each week to work part-time at the music restaurant.”

”As for the herbal cuisine course, it’s also Chef Yao who helped with promotion and planning. I’ve only done four courses and served just one batch of customers.”

With these words, Liu Yuqing’s heart skipped a beat!

You’re telling me you’re an amateur?

Without any formal study, you’re daring to plan custom herbal cuisine for her sister?

Fu Yu, you’re incredibly bold!

Even Liu Yunong was slightly surprised.

She hadn’t really explored Fu Yu’s herbal cuisine cooking, nor had she inquired about his mentors.

After all, she had seen Fu Yu make herbal cuisine herself; everything from customizing dishes to cooking techniques was very skilled, and the recipes were expert-approved.

To think he’s only just started in this field.

This kid is really naturally suited for this line of work!

The apprentice she chose is so outstanding, Liu Yunong felt a strong sense of approval.

This proud feeling made her look at Fu Yu with increasing pride and joy.

Liu Yuqing, on the other hand, had an erratic heartbeat and cautiously glanced at her sister, afraid she’d show any signs of anger.

But seeing her sister remain calm, Liu Yuqing’s highly strung heart eased a little.

She turned to signal Fu Yu: You can mess with food, but you can’t mess with words!

Really almost scared her to death!

Clearly just a dabbler daring to brag about making herbal cuisine for her sister.

Is this currying favor with his future sister-in-law?

He’s basically treating her sister as a guinea pig!

With Liu Yuqing glaring at him, Fu Yu felt a bit embarrassed. Yet, he couldn’t explain much at the moment.

He can’t exactly say he’s running cheats and has a system backing him up, with extraordinary talent greatly outweighing normal people, right?

Or realistically admit that he first acquired advanced skills in herbal cuisine cooking and then obtained two sets of herbal cuisine recipes, now confident that his herbal cuisine could lead all of Bei’an?

Saying that out loud, whether people believe it or not, even he feels it’s a bit braggy.

When faced with inexplicable matters, it’s safer to remain silent.

Seeing Fu Yu keep quiet, Liu Yuqing just chuckled awkwardly and advised: ”Sis, Fu Yu means to say that herbal cuisine can treat fine lines and remove spots. But since herbal cuisine is a form of Chinese medicine therapy, isn’t Expert Liu also in Bei’an? Why not let him and Elder Xiao—the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner—assist in customizing a few herbal cuisine groups for you.”

”After all, Expert Liu is the herbal cuisine expert from the National Herbal Cuisine Research Association, and is surely knowledgeable, with certain research into herbal cuisine. Who knows, he might actually know a few treatment folk remedies for this.”

Fu Yu saw Liu Yuqing not pursuing the herbal cuisine matter further, secretly relieved, and quickly agreed: ”Yes, yes, sis, once I help customize the herbal cuisine course menu, you can also ask Expert Liu and Elder Xiao to have a look.”

Liu Yuqing coughed; how can Fu Yu not know to take the hint?

Liu Shaoxian and Xiao Jiping, one a national herbal cuisine expert, the other a highly skilled traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.

Both are top-tier figures in their fields.

But on second thought, Fu Yu is well-meaning, trying to please Liu Yunong and make an effort.

Thinking this way, she could understand.

Liu Yuqing’s expression softened as she turned to look at Fu Yu, feeling warmth yet a slight helplessness in her heart.
