The Cheat Emperor of the Culinary World

Liu Yunong didn’t expect that Fu Yu would be so bold in buying a house.

square meters, according to the neighborhood map she just looked at, it should be a three-bedroom, two-living room, two-bathroom layout.

Nice!

And it’s located at the back gate of the community, which also aligns with her considerations.

Liu Yunong looked at Fu Yu and said with satisfaction, ”You’re quite capable, being able to buy a house independently now!”

Fu Yu chuckled and said, ”I just bought it with the down payment, still have to pay the monthly installment later, but it’s considered settling in Bei’an.”

Liu Yunong nodded approvingly.

At this age, being able to do this without relying on the family is quite impressive.

Liu Yunong knew about Fu Yu’s medicinal cuisine business, so when she first heard about Fu Yu buying a house, she was a bit surprised but quickly accepted it.

Liu Yuqing was very surprised; she never expected Fu Yu would actually buy a house, and such a large one at that.

It’s known that, even though Bei’an isn’t a first-tier city, houses in the city center’s vicinity are still very expensive.

A house like this requires a down payment of at least seven to eight hundred thousand.

Fu Yu always says his family is from a small county town; his parents are retired employees, and the family has a modest background.

Unexpectedly, he could come up with so much money to help him buy a house and settle down.

It seems Fu Yu’s family has some foundation, and the modest things he said before were just him being low-key and a bit humble.

Thinking this way, Liu Yuqing felt a burst of happiness; in today’s impatient world, having such a low-key and steady manner shows her judgment in people is truly accurate.

Since Fu Yu has already bought a house, she doesn’t need to worry about buying another one.

This house is surely going to be Fu Yu’s future marital home, right?

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gone for such a large one.

Thinking about this, Liu Yuqing couldn’t hide her joy and said, ”Well, we originally thought of going around the neighborhood to see the layout; might as well take a look at your house directly.”

Upon hearing this, Fu Yu was delighted and said hurriedly, ”Sure, I was planning to invite you over someday to take a look anyway. Although it’s still a bare shell, the underfloor heating and waterproofing have been done. Now that we have the actual thing, we can measure and see if your designed furniture arrangements fit.”

Liu Yuqing nodded eagerly, ”Yes, Sis, I went to the Department Store before and saw many interior design drawings, two styles were especially good, you can help me pick.”

Liu Yunong looked at these two and found their cooperative banter very harmonious, feeling amused but helpless.

So she nodded in agreement, ”Alright, let’s go take a look.”

The detailed environment planning and geographical advantages of this community have already been explained by the sales office to the Liu sisters.

Although the specific facilities have not been installed yet, one can vaguely see the outline of the construction after completion.

The house Fu Yu purchased is a standard north-south facing regular apartment, three bedrooms, two living rooms layout, on the third floor of a multi-story building, with spacious and practical closed balconies on both the north and south.

It’s much like the duplex Liu Yunong previously preferred, but she was looking at high-rise, considering if they have kids in the future and Fu Yu’s parents want to help with childcare, they could stay together.

Moreover, in a duplex, with two levels, the elderly live on one and Fu Yu and Liu Yuqing on the other, living in the same house yet offering some privacy as two separate families.

Unexpectedly, Fu Yu already bought a house in advance.

Fortunately, the area is large enough, three bedrooms and two living rooms, just right for an extra guest room.

Liu Yunong took a good look around, observing closely this house is indeed nice, whether in layout or its facing direction.

Following Fu Yu, Liu Yuqing excitedly toured each room; despite being just an empty shell, they eagerly started planning the renovation and usage of each room.

Liu Yuqing, already assuming the stance of the lady of the house, showcased her design talent and exceptional taste in the bare unit.

Seeing Liu Yuqing and Fu Yu happily together, Liu Yunong felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction.

Fu Yu and Liu Yuqing deliberated together and roughly decided on the use of each empty room.

Suddenly, they unknowingly exchanged smiles, feeling that it genuinely seemed quite nice like this.

...

After visiting Fu Yu’s new house, the three took a look around the surrounding scenery of the community; by the time they prepared to leave the sales office, it was already half-past four in the evening.

Liu Yunong had arranged to host Fu Yu for dinner tonight and had booked a place in advance.

In winter, it gets dark early.

Even though it was just half-past four, the sky was already slowly dimming.

As they came out of the sales office, Fu Yu sincerely said, ”Master, why not let me host you tonight instead?”

Originally he planned to shop around the Department Store after claiming a prize to buy Liu Yunong a decent welcoming gift.

But unexpectedly, they met early, and now it seems inappropriate to buy something right away; the gift probably won’t be given.

Liu Yunong waved her hand, smiled and said, ”Going out with me, and still making you pay for the treat? Pretending to be courteous!”

Fu Yu now knowing Liu Yunong very well after spending a lot of time together, usually, while learning to cook in the shop, if there’s something Fu Yu likes, Liu Yunong offers for him to take home after work.
