Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 247: Chapter 58 The World Blessed Saral_2

”I’m fine,” Boen said with a twinkle in his eyes, looking at Hill, ”Young Master Hill is getting stronger and stronger!”

”You should call me Mr. Hill now,” Hill said with a smile, ”I know you’re used to it, but in the capital, you must change the way you address me, okay?”

”I understand,” Boen nodded, ”Don’t worry! I remembered to call myself Baron very well when it was time to change.”

”Did you pack everything?” Hill asked, tilting his head, ”Don’t be polite with me at this time, you hear?”

”My benefits are very good,” Boen said helplessly, ”That’s in the Alchemist Master’s Magic Tower, I was even given a few puppets!”

Since they had reached the door, Hill could only give Boen a skeptical look and walked into the hall.

After greeting Fran and Uncle Adrian, who were seated inside the hall, Fran waved his hand, signaling Hill to take a seat.

Boen stood at the doorway and quickly made his exit with a bow.

”He has to arrange for the apprentices following him,” Uncle Adrian interjected.

”I’m not in a hurry to talk to him,” Hill laughed, ”There’s so much time in the capital, no matter how busy Boen is, he’ll eventually have some free time.”

Uncle Adrian shook his head, knowing that Hill intended to show his regard for Boen in front of the others heading to the capital, ”Suit yourself, but don’t go overboard.”

Hill nodded, ”I know, but since Uncle Adrian has arranged for Boen to take a teaching position at the Alchemy Academy, there are bound to be those who are envious. I’m just preventing trouble. I don’t need to do much, just let them know that bullying Boen will provoke me.”

At least during Uncle Adrian’s tenure, Hill’s position was quite stable.

Fran sat behind the table, looking over documents, with no intention of joining their conversation.

Hill quietly sat beside Uncle Adrian and asked softly, ”Why does this ship have such a strange shape? Where are the sails? It doesn’t look very good, too bare.”

Hill didn’t think Fran would find such a ship appealing.

”His Majesty the King likes it this way,” Uncle Adrian also lowered his voice, ”The teacher made one, planning to leave it in the Magic Tower at the capital.”

”His Majesty’s preferences are always unique,” Hill thought that William probably just inquired whether such a ship could be made by Fran; surely he wasn’t bored enough to bring an aircraft carrier into this world, right? Hill’s own custom order was also a multi-story boat design, wasn’t it? Fran must have tried it out of curiosity but decided to leave it for the future Magic Tower at the capital because he didn’t like it.

Hill pursed his lips, hinting to Uncle Adrian that he didn’t believe such a fib.

”Where are we going to stay in the capital?” Hill asked Uncle Adrian, ”It would be best if it’s convenient to come and go, as I plan to return to my territory once a day.”

”For what?” Fran looked up and asked, ”What could possibly be going on there?”

”Didn’t I have the Magical Beasts and the Undead in the valley sign contracts?” Hill said with a smile, ”After the Holy Rain, we’ll definitely need to promote some of them, and they trust me more, so I have to be the Witness!”

”And then?” Fran asked indifferently, ”The Magical Beasts in your territory won’t distrust List.”

”Those monkeys and the fliers from the west have already come in,” Hill admitted honestly, ”List will probably attract even more distant ones in the future; word spreads fast among Magical Beasts.”

Uncle Adrian laughed, ”No wonder Natural Consciousness loves you so much, you really are a Child of Nature!”

Fran shook his head, ”Do as you like! But be careful to not let any tricky Magical Beasts in.”

Hill looked up at Fran, ”Who near my territory still has the power to trouble me? Are you implying the Elves, Grandfather? Are you worried they’ll tempt Magical Beasts from outside into my territory?”

”Indeed,” Fran nodded. ”Although they are far away, they are still there.”

”What exactly do they want to do?” Hill asked angrily.

”Just wait for the arrival of that Elf Princess!” Fran sneered. ”If seducing His Majesty the King fails, the princess can’t return to the Forest of the Elves anymore. She has to prepare a way out!”

Hill truly felt suffocated. What was all this about?

”Wasn’t she coming out under the pretext of offering condolences to countries severely affected by demons?” Adrian asked, puzzled. ”Then why can’t she go back?”

”Because that reason is too fake!” Fran scoffed disdainfully. ”Had she returned before approaching Noah, it would have been plausible. But if she insists on entering Saral—a place that has gained quite a bit from the demon calamity—then everyone would know what she is here for.”

”What about that young princess who is still squatting in the capital?” Hill asked curiously.

”If I hadn’t become Legendary, that little princess would have been prepared for you after testing out His Majesty the King’s preferences,” Fran said as he threw a document. ”She was all set to take over your lands. The news of my ascension passed over, and she smashed the hotel.”

”Why would she think I’d definitely fancy her?” Hill asked, genuinely perplexed. ”Especially when I’ve been so rude to the Elves.”

”If their princess becomes the Queen of Saral, she would be the only relative of the Queen in Saral. According to the thinking of the Elven Royal Family, marrying her would be an honor for you.” Fran looked out the window, his stern face showing a chilling expression. ”The Elves have held themselves in too high regard for thousands of years, believing that it’s a supreme honor for human deities to marry their princesses who are eligible for the throne.”

”Why?” Adrian picked up the document and started reading. ”Or rather, what gives them the right?”

”Because they are the true Divine Bloodline!” Hill knew this part. ”The entire Elven Royal Family are descendants of their Elven God King. With a pure enough bloodline, it is quite easy to reach the Demi-god Rank, and if they win the favor of that God King, they can immediately become a member of His Divine Kingdom.”

”If it were the descendants of Dionysio, the God of Nobility, they would indeed be very respectful when marrying into the Elven Royal Family,” Adrian reasoned and understood. ”But His Majesty the King, didn’t he almost ignite the Divine Fire? He is not the kind who belongs to the Divine Kingdom!”

”Oh. They’ve only just figured that out,” Adrian said as he reached the end of the document, showing it to Hill. ”Look at this section. The words that came out a few days ago weren’t so egalitarian—somewhat condescending, even dictating. What is the Elf Deity System up to? Not telling the Elf Queen about our King’s identity?”

”They probably didn’t expect that the story World Will played out when the God of Time and Space ascended to the Divine Throne, the Elves would forget it all so entirely?” Fran laughed softly, looking down. ”The current Empress of the Elves was favored by the Elven God King because she was sufficiently naive and innocent.”

Adrian and Hill looked at Fran together: How do you know such secret things? What has that lady told you?

”You don’t need to ask me.” Fran abruptly stopped Hill, who wanted to ask. ”When it’s time to tell you, I will. Go out and take a look; Kexlote has arrived.”

Hill walked out, feeling helpless. Was he being coddled like a child?

Standing at the bow of the ship, Hill was stunned by the magnificent sight of Kexlote.

How long had it been?

William’s Royal Palace and the Temple of Time and Space were now at the city center.

The city districts built in concentric rings around the center were half Saral, dominated by gold and silver, and half Haifasardo, dominated by gold and crimson. Towering Magic Towers were interspersed among them, with large green spaces around the towers to separate the ordinary communities.

And between the silver and crimson, there was a clear dividing line, crossing the original path leading to the Royal Palace to form a grand crossroad.

Hill pinched his palm, warning himself not to burst into the Fifth Circle song.

Adrian came up next to him: ”Truly magnificent! I didn’t expect to see such a flourishing and majestic city in a human kingdom.” He said to Hill, ”You didn’t live in places like the Royal Palace growing up, so you probably can’t understand the nobles’ reverence for the Elves.

I always remember the feeling when I first saw the picture of the capital of Forest of the Elves as a child—unimaginably powerful and dreamlike in its splendor. And this painting, existing for ten thousand years, is King Saral’s treasured collection, only displayed a few times a year for the nobles to see.”

Hill turned to look at Adrian: ”Now, has Kexlote shocked them?”

Adrian beamed with an especially brilliant smile: ”The world has blessed Saral.”
