Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 225: Chapter 47: The Anger Towards Dwarves and Elves

William silently waited for a while, watching the dwarves below him standing tall and proud, as if they had finished saying everything and were waiting for his praise. He couldn’t help clicking his tongue: ”Is that all?”

”What?” The dwarven envoy was genuinely confused, not understanding William’s attitude.

”What does the Chief Dwarf God’s expulsion have to do with us humans?” William said coldly, ”It is the collusion between the human God of Smithing and Craft and the dwarven God of Smithing that deserves our attention!

Besides, it’s apparent that the God of Nobility is also in collusion with them.

Hmph! Have the demons attacked the Dwarf Kingdom? I haven’t heard of it!

Don’t you have any explanation for what’s happening in between?

Humans are not the dwarves’ puppets!”

He rose abruptly and turned to the Elf Princess: ”And the elves? Do you share the same stance?”

”My lord, the Guardian of the Elves, before I set out, received an oracle instructing me to convey our gratitude to the God of Time and Space for His assistance, which exposed the rebels’ actions without fail.

The Forest of the Elves is already seeking newborns, hoping to find those two traitors. They will not let them off easily.

As for the subsequent compensation for the human world, Iris, Nature’s daughter and future Elf Queen, will visit all the human countries after the demon war.”

The Elf Princess, keenly aware of William’s dissatisfaction with the dwarves, spoke earnestly and stood with dignity.

William frowned. Although the elves’ approach was somewhat evasive, they were essentially not planning on explaining themselves regarding the matter.

Nor were they planning on revealing the truth of the past to humans.

He looked around the hall, noting the clearly visible dissatisfaction on the faces of the human envoys, and slowly sat down: ”I understand.”

He turned to the Chancellor: ”The matters that follow are our own, humans need no assistance from dwarves or elves present here.”

The Chancellor understood William’s intentions clearly, knowing that he no longer wished to see those two races with their proud demeanor, and promptly escorted them to the exit of the Royal Palace.

”His Majesty the King’s gaze is a bit fierce.” Adrian said somewhat timidly.

Hill understood Adrian’s point; while William hadn’t said much, the rage in his eyes was enough to send chills through someone even through a screen.

”Nature’s daughter?” Hill was actually curious about this title.

”Any reaction from the Natural Consciousness?” Fran asked.

”None whatsoever,” Hill said with a smile.

Fran scoffed, ”How could the elves still enjoy the favor of nature? No wonder, for thousands of years, there have been no rumors in the Mage Association’s reports about encountering Elf Druids out in the open.

Every elf we come across says the druids have all gone into the wilderness to appease nature, unwilling to stay in the Forest of the Elves and enjoy life.”

”What about the druids of the past?” Hill was puzzled.

”Druids are also rare in elven society; it’s normal not to see one for decades,” Fran shook his head, ”But once they walk the druid path, nature doesn’t strip them of their status lightly. Nature is always lenient towards those it favors.

It’s just that no new druids have appeared, right?”

Hill scratched his head in doubt, wondering why there were so few druids.

Druidry is the main profession of elves, right?

”Your Majesty, King of Saral.” The Greenberg foreign minister bowed slightly, ”The situation in Greenberg is very perilous. Depending solely on our own strength to deal with the Abyssal Gate is somewhat overwhelming. We hope to receive some assistance from Saral.”

William simply raised his chin slightly, and the Chancellor immediately took over: ”What kind of assistance does Greenberg require? The Undead Tribe?”

”Greenberg is too remote; how could we trouble the esteemed Clan of the God of Time and Space?” The Greenberg envoy said without changing his expression, ”We’ve heard that Saral has a type of Ice Series Alchemical Bomb that is quite effective against demons. Greenberg is willing to pay for the method of making these bombs.”

”You can go directly to Master Fran.” The Chancellor said without hesitation.

”Greenberg has sent people to Master Fran’s Magic Tower to make a purchase, but we were refused.”

”That is Master Fran’s private affair. Saral will definitely not make such unreasonable demands in the name of the state to an Alchemist Master.”

”As far as I know, Master Fran has already handed over the formula to the alchemists at the King’s Academy, has he not?” The Greenberg envoy pressed on.

”Of course, Master Fran is the honorary deputy dean of the Alchemy Academy in the King’s Academy.” The Chancellor regarded the Greenberg envoy as if he were trash, ”That is something the Master provided specially for the school to select ideal students. It has nothing to do with the state.”

The envoy’s face turned red with indignation. Who doesn’t know that the Alchemy Apprentices in your King’s Academy are making a fortune every day with a large number of Ice Series bombs?

Fran taking students is a joke, right? Adrian is still standing right there!

”Speaking of which, I might as well visit the King’s Academy myself?” Adrian suddenly said, ”Teacher, do you think there might be some promising students there? They’ll be looking for jobs after graduation anyway.”

”Take Boen with you!” Fran thought for a moment and nodded, ”You’re not suited for teaching spells and alchemy basics, but Boen has done quite well teaching apprentices over the years.”

Hill turned his head and stealthily glanced at Fran.
