Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 92: Chapter 82 William is a Demigod Now

Watching the Silver Ship take off, Hill turned his head to Adrian, ”What’s going on?”

”I don’t know,” Adrian replied. ”The moment I arrived here, Spencer was waiting. I flew here, he teleported.”

Hill’s face looked grim.

”Spencer said that near Saral’s territory, it is better not to call His Majesty the King by his name directly. He can’t control his powers now and turns around whenever he hears his name.”

Adrian also had a grim look on his face.

”Not even in the Magic Tower anymore?” Hill exclaimed, ”Is he a god now?”

”He’s in the demigod state, having not yet ignited the Divine Fire,” Adrian said, pulling Hill into the cabin, ”like Justice before being officially deified.”

Hill shook his head, ”That’s not right. He never proclaimed his Name of God, did he?”

”He is the same soul as a deity,” Adrian said with a bitter smile. ”This world has never seen such a thing.”

We are all clueless about what’s happening.

But he might not need those steps.

As long as there is enough Faith Power, he might directly ascend to godhood, right?

Or maybe they have other methods. There’s also the presence of the Undead Tribe!

We don’t know if he has proclaimed his Name of God among the Undead!

From now on, we really can only refer to him as His Majesty the King.”

Hill fell silent: when the God of Time and Space proclaimed his Divinity back then, time and space were his primary domain, with education and entertainment, then he snatched literary arts for Queen Spencer and her son. So justice would belong to William, right?

Hill felt that William might not give up justice, as both fairness and justice should belong to one divinity.

He looked up at the sky, where the River of Time and Space flowed quietly. Was this god’s silence over the past year in preparation to stir up even bigger and more terrifying waves?

Thinking this, Hill spoke out loud, ”You mentioned the same soul. Could they have a shared consciousness?”

”Who can know what deities are capable of,” Adrian said, seemingly uninterested. ”His Majesty the King seems to have many things he wants to do, so he’s not in a hurry to proclaim his Name of God or his Divinity. Rather, he wants to be a good king first.

All those legends are being so compliant, and there’s hardly anyone in Haifasardo attempting a rebellion—everyone must know by now.

The communication between a Legendary Mage and the world is very profound.

No wonder the Mage Association knelt so easily and so quickly.”

Hill actually felt a gossip-like curiosity. William and the God of Time and Space were different. At the time of his death, William was still a young man—summoning players wasn’t something an old man like the God of Time and Space would think of.

It was just that this scientist by origin was very open-minded and quick to accept new ideas.

But if the two shared a consciousness, when William daydreamed, the God of Time and Space would know about it too, which would be rather unfortunate for him.

It’s very likely, especially since William is still unmarried at such an old age!

Whenever Hill thought of this, any annoyance from having to avoid saying the word ”William” vanished completely.

He couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought of a dominant male protagonist in a power struggle narrative, who also carried a resolute old scientist within him, unable to keep any secrets, being scolded about the ”Eight Honors and Disgraces” while fantasizing about a beautiful girl.

William should give up on any springtime adventures in Saral. He is too ethereal for the Mortal World and should seek a Goddess in the heavens instead!

Adrian slapped Hill on the back, ”What are you thinking about? That sleazy look doesn’t suit your face.”

Hill pursed his lips, ”Just consoling myself. Don’t talk nonsense, Uncle Adrian.”

Srei had already replaced all the furniture in the hall, and Hill was very satisfied. He didn’t want to use anything that woman had touched.

Pulling Adrian to sit down, he instructed Srei to head for the Northern Border.

”Does Uncle Adrian know the Earl’s current location?”

Adrian took out a map and handed it to Srei, ”They will not be moving for some time now, there are too many injured.”

Srei compared his stored map of the North, ”We can fly directly to the city in the northwest corner and continue flying without landing, as the elemental concentration outside the Northern Border is also low.

It’s been a year, and they’ve only traveled 2000 kilometers. We hardly need to land.”

Hill nodded, ”Arrange it as you see fit, and call me when we get there.”

”Yes, sir.”

Hill turned to Adrian, ”So we just don’t say his name? There are no problems at other times?”

”No, after all, he has not formally become a god.” Adrian still wore a wry smile, ”But this place Saral, it’s essentially the same as the Divine Realm. Mentioning his name is like calling out to him right next to his ear.

His Majesty the King has been very considerate, outright telling us not to mention it again in the future; he does not particularly want to hear it.

He was merely summoned here and was planning to leave immediately when he heard about the situation with Cassel.

It was useful to him and related to him, so he listened.”

Adrian felt uneasy, ”I think he might have overheard our gossip.”

Hill had long been aware that given William’s character, he would definitely want to hear out their gossip about Cassel.

What kind of secrets does the Cortez Royal Family have that would be in the hands of the Royal Family of Haifasardo?

William’s appearance of having struck it big made Hill wonder if Cortez might also become a part of Saral in the future?

William could not possibly be interested in any treasure to such an extent.

He shook his head, leaving William to his own devices.

With tens of millions of players arriving in the future, another country’s territory would be good to spread them out.

Otherwise, if one place had too many players, who knows if it would explode.

Hill was genuinely worried that the players might break open the gates to the Abyss.

Just three instances wouldn’t be enough!

Hill knew that new instances would soon arrive, but the thought of the God of Time and Space squatting in the Divine Kingdom, selecting segments of time-space shadows and merging them to form instances, filled him with a terrifying illusion.

He shook his head, dispelling the strange and keen sensation.

The airship traced a slanting line across the sky, and Srei appeared, asking, ”Is Mr. Adrian traveling with us, or...?”

”Call me when we reach the nearest point; I’ll fly back on my own,” Adrian said, ”I need to go back and discuss this matter with my teacher.

Remember, Hill, not to speak of this to outsiders.”

”I know. This matter won’t be spoken of by me.

No matter what His Majesty the King thinks,” Hill said, twitching the corner of his mouth, ”for him, the world has become safer.”

Adrian nodded with a smile, ”I hope the people on Edward’s side will be smart about it.”

”You mean the Cortezians might contact him?” Hill quickly caught on, ”Then I need to move quickly. Any issues should wait until after I’ve left.”

”Exactly, you better make it quick and decisive,” Adrian said. ”Don’t let the Cortezians catch you; they must hate you to death by now.”

”They are not that fast,” Hill said. ”By the time they think of Edward, I’ll already be in the grasslands of the North.

And besides, they would not send a Legendary Mage there, unless there’s a Legendary Mage who doesn’t wish to live.”

Who doesn’t know that William’s eyes are definitely on these two elder brothers, and finding an Archmage who isn’t afraid to die would be quite a feat for Cortez.

Wait a minute. It took Hill a moment to catch up to a possibility, there could be an Archmage seeking to make amends for his crimes who might receive this task, he hesitantly looked at Adrian and spoke, ”Are you referring to that person?”

”Exactly, Archmage Kronos, the one you trapped so badly,” Adrian smiled. ”Who else could it be?”
