Supreme Devouring God

Beneath a desolate mountain, a hundred thousand miles from the Blood Spirit Pavilion.

Here, the area underground has been excavated by human hands, resulting in a vast subterranean space.

All around, extremely dim flames flicker, temporarily dispelling the darkness below.

At the center, there lies a lake.

A lake filled with blood.

Endless blood churns within the lake, emanating a very strong smell of blood.

In the center of the lake, there stands a stone platform.

On the platform sits an elder.

The elder’s posture is hunched, his clothes disheveled, sitting motionless in the center of the Blood Lake, exuding an exceedingly strong oppressive aura.

Around the Blood Lake are members of the Blood Spirit Demon Clan.

Like the elder, they all sit crossed-legged on the ground, completely still.

An ordinary person would not know what this group is doing.

But if one looks closely, they would discover faint streams of blood energy flowing continuously into their bodies from the Blood Lake.

Of course, a large amount of blood energy is being absorbed by the elder on the stone platform, with only a small amount dispersed and absorbed by the other Blood Spirit Demon members.

If Qin Chen were here, he would certainly recognize two familiar figures in this group.

One is the Jingyue Emperor, and the other is the Jingyue Empress Dowager.

At this moment, they are both sitting at the edge of the Blood Lake, greedily absorbing the blood energy emitted from the lake.

”Ancestor!”

Suddenly, a voice rang out, awakening everyone below the ground.

The elder on the stone platform opened his eyes, gazing forward.

An Quan approached the underground and, upon arrival, knelt before the elder on the stone platform: ”Ancestor! I have failed in my mission, please punish me!”

The elder on the stone platform is the leader of the Blood Spirit Demon Clan, the Blood Spirit Ancestor.

Of course, the Blood Spirit Demon is a large organization, and this group here is just a part of it—as was the Flying Demon Clan that Qin Chen once annihilated.

In the Exile State, there are more Blood Spirit Demons, Flying Demon Clan, and the Hundred Demons.

An Quan is very smart.

He knows that upon hearing about the situation, the Blood Spirit Ancestor would certainly fly into a rage, so he preemptively admits his mistake to avoid severe punishment.

Sure enough, when the Blood Spirit Ancestor heard An Quan’s words, his face darkened, evil energy flickering across his visage.

”Explain clearly what happened exactly?”

The Blood Spirit Ancestor’s voice is exceptionally hoarse, making one feel extremely uncomfortable upon hearing it.

An Quan said, ”I failed to capture the two disciples of the Saber Saint Cliff, and they escaped.”

”What!”

The Blood Spirit Ancestor wasn’t the first to react; the Jingyue Empress Dowager was.

She looked at An Quan: ”With Liu Cheng and Hea Zhangxuan from the Jingyue Royal Family luring them, and with so many of our people present.”

”And there was a Twelve Star Mysterious Array, yet you couldn’t capture them? Moreover, you let them escape?”

An Quan looked at the Blood Spirit Ancestor: ”Ancestor, it’s not my fault. I was about to succeed, but suddenly, a member of the Fu Shen Clan appeared.”

Fu Shen Clan!

These three words sent a chill through the hearts of every member of the Blood Spirit Demon Clan underground.

To the Hundred Demons, the Fu Shen Clan is immensely intimidating.

Even the Blood Spirit Ancestor’s face turned grim: ”How did you suddenly encounter someone from the Fu Shen Clan?!”

An Quan said, ”I truly don’t know, and it seemed the other was merely exploring, with only one person present.”

”Only one person, and you let her get away?!”

The Blood Spirit Ancestor was infuriated, glaring at An Quan, making An Quan tremble all over.

An Quan said, ”Ancestor, this isn’t my fault. You know all too well; people of the Fu Shen Clan master the Talisman Dao, holding numerous Dao Talismans. How could I have possibly killed her?”

”We’re in great danger now!”

The Jingyue Emperor’s face became shadowed.

He joined the Blood Spirit Demon Clan to gain more power, but now the Blood Spirit Demon Clan is facing a huge crisis, which naturally put him in an extremely foul mood.

An Quan said, ”Ancestor, I know my crime is unforgivable, but given the urgent situation, please calm down and consider how we should respond.”

Someone suggested to the Blood Spirit Ancestor, ”Ancestor, neither the Fu Shen Clan nor the Saber Saint Cliff are adversaries we can contend with at the moment.”

”Now that we’ve been fully exposed, we’re sure to attract the armies of the Saber Saint Cliff and Fu Shen Clan, and once their forces arrive, we won’t be able to withstand them!”

”So I suggest we should leave the Jingyue Dynasty immediately; by doing so, we can preserve our lives and find another opportunity to rise again.”

The Jingyue Emperor was immediately anxious upon hearing this.

”Ancestor! No, we can’t! If you leave, all our efforts will be for nothing, wouldn’t they?”

The Jingyue Dynasty is his life’s work. While the Blood Spirit Demon Clan could easily abandon it, could the Jingyue Emperor bear to?

Naturally, he couldn’t!

Goo Xiefeng, like An Quan, is also one of the Eight Blood Generals under the Blood Spirit Ancestor’s command.

He coolly eyed the Jingyue Emperor: ”All that effort, without life, what use is it?”

”Can you assure we could evade the forces of the Saber Saint Cliff and Fu Shen Clan?”

”By the time the enemy army arrives, we’d all be doomed!”

”Everyone be quiet!”

The Blood Spirit Ancestor shouted impatiently, finally restoring silence underground.

Until now, the Blood Spirit Ancestor remained seated on the stone platform in the center of the Blood Lake, without descending.

The Blood Spirit Ancestor said, ”We’ve put in so much effort and poured our energies to come to the Jingyue Dynasty. Now that the ’Blood Spirit Formation’ is about to succeed, we’re only short of a ’keystone’. We can’t just give up.”

It turns out, this Blood Lake is actually a grand array called the ’Blood Spirit Formation’.

The Blood Spirit Ancestor had lured Qin Chen and Lin Songyun here through the Jingyue Royal Family’s scheme, aiming to make them the ’keystones’ for the Blood Spirit Formation.

The Blood Spirit Formation is an extremely evil array.

It can absorb copious amounts of blood, thereby consolidating into a powerful Blood Spirit.

However, the keystone is particularly important.

The keystone is equivalent to the core of the Blood Spirit Formation.

Whether the Blood Spirit King gathered would be powerful rests heavily on the keystone.

The Blood Spirit Ancestor had already slaughtered thirty million people for the Blood Spirit Formation, extracting their blood and smelting it within the formation, with only the ’keystone’ remaining.

The Blood Spirit Ancestor’s goal is to use the Blood Spirit Formation to gather the ’Blood Spirit King’.

Yet, with the sudden upheaval, the Blood Spirit Ancestor’s heart is filled with unwillingness.

After all, everything was ready, just a little more, and the Blood Spirit Ancestor could not accept it.

Goo Xiefeng said, ”Ancestor, we understand your feelings, and I believe none of us in the Blood Spirit Demon want to see this situation now.”

”But now that things are as they are, what can we do?”

The Jingyue Empress Dowager spoke, ”Of course, we must chase them down, kill them, and end any future troubles!”
