Supreme Devouring God

(For those who have forgotten about Zhai Tianhao, you can refer back to Chapter 328, and he also appeared in Chapter 1471, being accepted along with Yu TianQee by the mysterious Elder Zhan.)

Fang Zhan was captured, and Zhuu Qingtian lost an arm.

This news was undoubtedly even more sensational than Qin Chen’s previous disruption at Mo Qing’s birthday feast where he killed Mo Qing and captured Qi Zhengyuan alive.

It was almost completely unexpected by everyone.

Especially the Demon God Palace.

Both times, their Demon God Palace had lost face along with the Royal Family.

Upon hearing the news, the Demon God Palace Master Mo Jiqing immediately convened a meeting to discuss the matter.

Mo Qing’s death was purely accidental.

But who would have thought that sending Zhuu Qingtian out would still result in him being left in a sorry state by Qin Chen, even losing an arm.

Inside the meeting room.

The Demon God Palace Master Mo Jiqing, Vice Palace Master Zhuu Qingtian, Yuan Molin, as well as the Supreme Palace Master Mo Zhentian and numerous high-ranking experts of the Demon God Palace, all gathered here.

This matter had significant implications, and the Demon God Palace could not afford to ignore it.

”Qingtian, you go first and share your thoughts.”

Mo Jiqing first looked at Zhuu Qingtian.

The entire attention in the meeting room immediately focused on Zhuu Qingtian, or more precisely, on his severed arm.

Zhuu Qingtian’s face was grim: ”Our Demon God Palace has no retreat, first it was Mo Qing, and now it’s me. If our Demon God Palace doesn’t take action, how will people see us?”

”Moreover, as one of the main powers of the Great Origin Saint Sect, we are at the peak of popularity now. Besides outsiders, how would the Royal Family view us?”

”Qin Chen must be killed, not killing him will certainly mean a loss of face for our Demon God Palace.”

”What we need to consider now is the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect behind Qin Chen.”

At this moment, the Supreme Palace Master Mo Zhentian spoke up.

”That will depend on the actions of the Royal Family. In any case, we must let the Royal Family pave the way for this minefield.” Mo Jiqing said.

”It’s said that Qin Chen entered the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect through the Peak Battle of the Ten Thousand Sects?” Mo Zhentian suddenly asked.

”Yes,” Mo Jiqing nodded.

”Who represented our Demon God Palace in the Peak Battle of the Ten Thousand Sects at that time? Why didn’t we manage to recruit such a Body Refining Genius?”

Mo Zhentian’s old eyes were somewhat cold.

”It was Ao Mo,” Mo Jiqing said.

”Let him in here.”

Mo Zhentian’s voice was calm, but anyone could hear the anger in his tone.

At the same time, many present were also thinking.

If only Qin Chen were a disciple of their Demon God Palace, how good would that be?

Speaking of Ao Mo.

Ever since the Peak Battle of the Ten Thousand Sects, when he tried to coerce Qin Chen into joining the Demon God Palace, and Tang Cang eventually accepted Qin Chen into the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect.

He had thought that the boy’s future would be quite brilliant.

But, reality exceeded his expectations.

During the Heavenly Ranking Ceremony, he personally witnessed this boy seizing the first rank of the Heavenly Ranking, the youngest ever top of the Heavenly Ranking, defeating countless Heaven’s Pride.

At the Marriage Invitation Assembly, the boy further humiliated the two king-level prodigies Mo Xiangsheng and An Wuji, disrupting the entire assembly, causing numerous casualties, and shocking the entire Great Origin Dynasty.

Half a year later.

This boy returned as a king, slaying the Deputy Palace Master Mo Qing.

And now, even Zhuu Qingtian was forced by him to return to the Demon God Palace in disgrace, missing an arm.

On the day he threatened Qin Chen, he never would have thought that the future of that boy would be so terrifying.

”Ao Mo.”

Someone from the Demon God Palace arrived at Ao Mo’s residence: ”The Supreme Palace Master wants to see you.”

”Isn’t the Supreme Palace Master in a meeting?” Ao Mo was a little surprised.

Mo Zhentian rarely appeared, and even Ao Mo had not seen Mo Zhentian many times.

The person reporting deeply looked at Ao Mo: ”You better go quickly, lest the Supreme Palace Master becomes angry.”

With a hint of puzzlement.

Ao Mo arrived at the meeting room.

Seeing the high-ranking experts of the Demon God Palace all present, he felt a slight tension.

On a day like today, under normal circumstances, he would not have the qualifications to be here.

But now.

Everyone’s gaze was fixed on him, how could he not be tense?

”Supreme Palace Master!”

He suppressed the panic in his heart and looked at Mo Zhentian.

”Do you remember Qin Chen?” Mo Zhentian asked.

Ao Mo was startled, then nodded: ”Yes.”

”Why did he join the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect instead of our Demon God Palace?” Mo Zhentian asked again.

Ao Mo then understood the reason Mo Zhentian had called for him, and cold sweat appeared on his forehead.

”He killed one from our Demon God Palace,” Ao Mo said.

”So you threatened him, forcing him to abandon joining our Demon God Palace and join the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect instead?”

Mo Zhentian’s voice was icy.

Ao Mo’s face turned pale.

It was only then that he realized Mo Zhentian had summoned him not to ask about the situation but to question his crimes.

”I... I...”

For a moment, Ao Mo didn’t know how to explain.

”Bang.”

Mo Jiqing angrily slammed the desk beside him, shattering it, glaring at Ao Mo: ”Idiot! Do you know what enormous loss and consequences your action has brought to our Demon God Palace?”

In the meeting room, the other strong members of the Demon God Palace also glared at Ao Mo.

Back then, if Ao Mo hadn’t threatened Qin Chen and made him resent the Demon God Palace, they would indeed have had the chance to recruit Qin Chen into the palace.

Now, look what happened.

Qin Chen shone brightly in the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect and had already formed an irreconcilable enmity with their Demon God Palace. If Qin Chen had joined the Demon God Palace back then, Mo Qing wouldn’t have died.

Seeing Mo Jiqing’s anger, Ao Mo became panicked, kneeling with a pale face: ”I didn’t know things would turn out this way, I really didn’t think...”

If he had known early on that Qin Chen would grow to such heights, how could he have dared to threaten Qin Chen back then?

The ant he once despised had now grown into a True Dragon.

”Take him away.”

”Death sentence.”

Mo Jiqing coldly ordered.

Hearing this, Ao Mo’s heart skipped a beat, and beads of sweat rolled down his forehead: ”Please, Palace Master, for the sake of my years of service and hard work, spare me!”

”I will definitely atone for my sins! I will make up for this mistake with my life!”

That one decision years ago had now brought a calamity upon him!

He was on the verge of tears!

”You have committed an unforgivable blunder, already irreparable; a death sentence is lenient.” Mo Jiqing replied dispassionately.

Even he, ’Mo Xiangsheng’, had suffered humiliation at the hands of Qin Chen.

Someone immediately entered the meeting room and dragged Ao Mo away.

Only then did the meeting room fall silent again.

Mo Jiqing spoke: ”Three days later, at the execution in Chu Imperial City, I will take a few people with me. As long as Qin Chen shows himself, even if the Royal Family doesn’t act, we must.”

”This child’s growth speed is like that of an Evil; he must be killed.”

”Otherwise, the future consequences will be dire.”

Mo Jiqing had never been so anxious over a junior before; Qin Chen was the only one.

”At all costs.”

Mo Zhentian added a final remark.

Since reconciliation and redemption were no longer possible, the only path was to obliterate and annihilate!
