Supreme Devouring God

Chapter 1660: Chapter 1660: The Decision

”It doesn’t matter whether there are opinions or not; Qin Chen is our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect’s disciple. Regardless of what he’s done, whom he’s offended, he is still our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect’s disciple.”

”How our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect’s disciple is treated is our own affair, no outsider is allowed to humiliate him. Whoever tries, will die!”

Elder Shen’s words resonated within the chamber, simple yet powerful.

One sentence conveyed his stance!

Although Qin Chen’s actions indeed lacked propriety, as he said, whatever Qin Chen has done is to be handled internally by the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, not pointed out by outsiders.

”I don’t agree.”

Law Enforcement Elder Fang Hanchuan spoke: ”Qin Chen first killed the Deputy Palace Master of Demon God Palace Mo Qing on Dumo Island, then captured Qi Zhengyuan, offending both the Demon God Palace and the Royal Family at once.”

”Now, the Royal Family and Demon God Palace have formed the Great Origin Saint Sect, ambitious, at this juncture, protecting Qin Chen will certainly cause unnecessary friction with the Great Origin Saint Sect.”

”At this moment, everyone within the Great Origin Dynasty is watching, our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect should more so avoid suspicion and not be the first to step on landmines.”

Elder Shen coldly replied: ”According to you, we just watch and do nothing?”

Fang Hanchuan said: ”Given the special current situation, for the future of our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, every decision should prioritize the greater good.”

”Qin Chen is important, but compared to the future and fate of our tens of thousands of disciples in the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, how can it compare?”

”Ridiculous!”

Elder Shen sneered: ”Qin Chen has earned us supreme glory, honored as our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect’s Great Saint Son, the most invincible among the younger generation in the entire Great Origin Dynasty.”

”Such a Heaven’s Pride, if we, the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, ignore him, how will the world perceive us?”

”Furthermore, as you said, now the Great Origin Saint Sect has emerged ambitiously, do you fear them because of that?”

”Are you lacking confidence in yourself, or do you think our entire Heavenly Blade Saint Sect is a soft target, easily bullied?”

Fang Hanchuan’s face darkened: ”Elder Shen, no need to get angry, I am also considering the big picture for our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect.”

Elder Shen said: ”Simply put, your meaning is that Qin Chen isn’t worth us, Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, protecting, right?”

Fang Hanchuan frankly nodded.

”Indeed, Qin Chen has contributed to our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, but now, having acted without consulting us, he must have already angered Emperor Chu and Demon God Palace. To put it harshly, this is ignorance.”

”He doesn’t understand the implications of his actions for the upcoming situation, nor how many will die because of his impulsiveness.”

Fang Hanchuan’s tone was fierce.

”Elder Fang, that’s too much.”

At this time, Xia Bai also spoke: ”What Qin Chen did was impulsive, but the premise was that Emperor Chu first took his brothers and friends to set an example, his actions were normal, albeit perhaps too extreme.”

”But you can’t call him ignorant; he’s weathered life’s storms, perhaps more than us, and don’t forget that he’s only twenty.”

”To achieve such stature at twenty, do you know the hardships and tears he’s had to endure?”

Fang Hanchuan remained silent.

The chamber fell quiet.

They could deny everything about this young man.

But.

Their efforts and sacrifices were beyond denial.

”How about this.”

Huangfu Zhao, who had stayed silent, spoke: ”Let’s head to the Spiritual Wood Mountain Range, and if possible, try to stop what’s about to happen in three days and ease the situation.”

”This matter must not be stopped!”

However, Huangfu Zhao was immediately met with strong opposition from Elder Shen.

”The matter has already spread throughout the Great Origin Dynasty; if we stop it, it’s not about whether Qin Chen will listen. Even if he does, after such momentum, there would be no sound.”

”Wouldn’t this indirectly be bowing to Emperor Chu?”

”Our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect was established over a millennium ago, having weathered great storms. Our forebearers built this foundation, bringing renown far and wide.”

”As successors, how can we allow the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect to be devalued by outsiders?”

”Wouldn’t that be a disgrace to our countless forebearers?”

Fang Hanchuan firmly shook his head: ”Elder Shen, understand that it’s not about our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect bowing, but the lives of our tens of thousands!”

”We can decide however we want, but every decision carries responsibility.”

”One Qin Chen isn’t worth us gambling with Heavenly Blade Saint Sect!”

”Do you think hiding is the solution?”

Elder Shen stared at Fang Hanchuan: ”This time, we can pretend nothing happened, remain uninvolved, but then won’t the Great Origin Saint Sect also secretly or openly target us?”

”Know this! Our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect is already at odds with the Royal Family and Demon God Palace! If Emperor Chu and Mo Jiqing truly show their fangs, we will inevitably be targeted first!”

”We can hide once, but can we continue to hide twice, thrice, always hide?”

”Lives are important, but some things, far surpass lives in importance!”

Some things are more important than life!

When Elder Shen’s words fell.

The chamber resonated with heavy hearts.

Everyone spoke of prioritizing the big picture but overlooked what truly encompasses the ’big picture’!

Is mere survival the big picture?

Not at all!

Living comes in many forms.

In anonymity, living is one form.

With grandeur, living is another.

Huangfu Zhao pondered briefly and made a decision: ”Send people to the Spiritual Wood Mountain Range, and if the Royal Family and Demon God Palace move to kill Qin Chen, intervene.”

”Our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect’s disciples must not be humiliated by any outsider!”

Fang Hanchuan shook his head: ”Vice Sect Leader, you will regret this, Qin Chen, no matter how strong or important, is still just one person. He’s not worth us doing this.”

He seemed to foresee the challenges awaiting the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect because of this decision.

Huangfu Zhao’s gaze was resolute, unchanged by Fang Hanchuan’s words.

”Regardless of worth, our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect will not retreat or hide this time!”

”If the Royal Family and Demon God Palace choose to use this as an excuse, let them. Our Heavenly Blade Saint Sect fears nothing, for disgrace is far harder to bear than dying in battle.”

”We, of the Heavenly Blade Saint Sect, would rather fight to the death than live in dishonor.”

These recent days, Huangfu Zhao had been contemplating how Heavenly Blade Saint Sect should tackle the sudden emergence of the Great Origin Saint Sect’s situation.

And at this moment, he realized!
