Super Electric Eel Avatar

141 The Virgin Islands Of The Caribbean Sea
People living a secular life were subject to the mundane, such as Chen Fan, who owed Ma Rongtao 50 million cash and could now repay him.

Drawing back his mind from the electric eel, Chen Fan looked at the time and found that it was 10 o’clock. After paying back the money he owed, he should be able to come back for lunch.

Driving the car to the dock, Chen Fan controlled the electric eel to open the door and brought in the iron shell ship containing the money. Then the electric eel’s head filled of black scales popped out of the water, pulled the steel vessel with its front claws, and carried it to the shore.

Fifty million. With 10,000 in a pile, he would need 739, 755 with interest.

The box he used to keep the ghost month incense was too small, so Chen Fan had to pull two sacks from the corner of the wall and put them in the trunk of the car. After having the electric eel take the iron boat away, he departed to Ma Rongtao’s company.

”Is your President Ma in?” When he arrived at the reception hall of the Star Shipping Group, Chen Fan knocked on the black crystal front desk and pulled the female receptionist who was playing QQ farm back to reality from the virtual network.

”Hello, Sir. Our chairman is in the office. Would you like me to inform him?” Although the receptionist didn’t know what Chen Fan’s name was, she knew that, even though the young man looked very young, several times he had walked and chatted with the President.

”As long as he is around, I will go up and find him myself.” Chen Fan nodded with a smile and walked to the elevator.

”Wait a minute...” Just as the elevator was about to close, there was a clear, sweet voice coming from outside.

Waiting for Chen Fan to push the elevator door button, Wu Ruoyu, dressed in a black suit, came in distrustfully with a pile of thick files in her arms.

”Hi! I’ve come to see your uncle!” Chen Fan laughed, spread out his hand, and said to Wu Ruoyu, ”Which floor do you go to?”

”The same floor as you!” Wu Ruoyu snorted, and then her little white face faced away not wanting to see Chen Fan.

Pressing the fifth-floor button, Chen Fan wondered deeply in his heart, what is the matter with this little girl? She talked and laughed last time, but whenever they accidentally met alone, she always gave him a look!

Proud?

Chen Fan’s thin mouth crumpled, and he tilted his head away too on purpose.

Pushing open the door of the chairman’s office, Ma Rongtao saw Chen Fan come in with his niece and put down his paper with a smile, saying, ”Shasha, go and make two cups of tea.”

Ma Rongtao stood up, patted Chen Fan’s shoulder, and said with a slightly blaming tone,” Xiao Chen, why didn’t you let me know before you came. Join in for lunch later. I’ll ask someone to make a reservation now.”

”It’s okay,” Chen Fan rejected. He still has a younger person in the family to take care of!

”Uncle Ma, I came to pay back the money!” Chen Fan looked at Wu Ruoyu who was making tea with a sour face a distance away and lowered his volume and said, ”It’s not in RMB. It is all in dollars, but I could not find anything to pack it in, so I used two sacks to pack them up.”

He won’t say that I’m ashamed of carrying the sacks. He’ll just ask two employees to bring it up.

Ma Rongtao was a brilliant man. He took only a second to understand Chen Fan’s meaning. After laughing a little, he touched the telephone on the desk to call someone to come to the office.

”Here’s your tea!” Wu Ruoyu put the cup in front of Chen Fan, and then gave him an annoyed look when Ma Rongtao was not looking and left.

By that time, two men in black suits walked into the office, and only five minutes after Chen Fan handed them the car key, they both carried the sacks in with weird expressions.

”Chen, where did you get so many dollars?” Ma Rongtao played with the 24K gold pen in his hands. ”Didn’t you say that things had to be done? It hasn’t been a month, and you’re returning all the money with interest and in dollars?”

”Made a big deal the other day! ”Chen Fan grinned. ”Uncle Ma, how do you change your dollars? Is it very troublesome to exchange money at the bank?”

”The money I lent you last time was to buy a ship in a foreign country. If I wish to exchange a lot of dollars, I will exchange them through the bank of Macau’s gambling center.” Ma Rongtao took a sip of tea and continued, ”Why, Chen? Do you want to exchange some?”

”A little left in hand, about 20 million!” Chen Fan hesitated and revealed only one-tenth of his property.

”So much?” Ma Rongtao looked at Chen Fan in amazement. ”If you wanted to change so much money, then you would have to make an appointment with the underground banks. After all, the government’s monitoring of money laundering is very strict, and they will charge 12 percent.”

”Twelve percent?” It was Chen Fan’s turn to shout. ”I’d like to change some money, but 12 percent is too...”

”Haha, what can you do if your money is black money?” Ma Rongtao smiled. ”But if you often need to do money laundering, then I suggest you go over to the Virgin Islands of the Caribbean and register an offshore company. You don’t need any formality certificates there. You just need to literally report a name and pay the fee, then you can create a company that is protected by local laws. An international business that is created there is recognized by all the international banks around the world. And when you start a company, the local government will provide you with a set of facilities for setting up bank accounts and financial operations. That way you can put a lot of dollars into the international banks, and even our government has no right to investigate the source of your property.”

”So how do I deposit my money in an offshore company account? From home, or from abroad?”

After a few days of research in money laundering, Chen Fan also wanted to register an offshore company. But what bothered him was how to store 500 million dollars in an offshore company account. Five hundred million dollars! Not five million! Or 50 million!

”Do you really mean it?”

Ma Rongtao looked up, thought for a while, and said, ”In fact, registering a company is easy. Get a fake ID, then ask a professional agent company to help to register a company in the Virgin Islands. This only needs a day or two to complete. But one of the key issues is how you transfers property to an offshore account? If you have clean money in the bank, you can transfer it directly through the Swiss international bank, in the Shanghai or Hong Kong branch. But if your money is black money, it’s going to take a lot of work.”

”Are you saying that you have to make the black money into clean money first?” Chen Fan scratched his head. ”If I go to Shanghai Swiss bank branch and deposit, and if the amount is too large, will the government investigate it?”

”I’m afraid so this country. Foreign Banks that come to us have to abide by our laws. If you don’t want to be bothered with money laundering, there’s a good way. That’s to register a few offshore companies, and then go to the local Swiss international bank branches, to store some money in each account, then transfer everything to one main account.”

Ma Rongtao crumpled his lips and continued, ”In those countries with offshore companies as the main source of income, if your money is not obtained in the area illegally, people do not care if your money is black or clean.”

”Then I will have to make a trip abroad,” Chen Fan said helplessly.

”If you want to do money laundering, this is the best and fastest method. When your black money gets legal status at a Swiss bank, you have to go to the next stage. How do you transfer that money to your real account?” Ma Rongtao felt thirsty after saying so much in one go, and he drank half the cup of tea and continued, ”You should not use your real name for the offshore company you register. Although it’s still your virtual identity controlling your money, it’s still not your real identity. So you have to transfer the property under the virtual identity to the real identity property. That will make your black money eventually become clean money. Otherwise, your black money will only be available overseas.”

”But it’s simple and fun!” Ma Rongtao smiled and took his pen as an example. ”If my pen were only worth 10 thousand and I say it is worth a million, other people are not stupid, so why would they buy it? If people don’t buy it, I can make my virtual identity buy it. As long as the price is not too far off, others will not suspect that there is something fishy about it. I use that virtual identity to buy real estate, so that the property of the virtual identity, would be successful and legally transferred to the real identity!”

”It seems that it is not too difficult,” Chen Fan said with a grin. ”Uncle Ma frequently does this too?” This guy said it so systematically, he must have a lot of experience with it.

”I do not do this. I’m now earning legal money son, and do not have a large amount of black money to launder. The small amount of it, I would go to the Macau bank to exchange it.” Ma Rongtao looked at the time on the wall, then stood up and patted Chen Fan’s shoulder. ”It’s almost lunchtime. Let’s go. I’ll treat you to a meal.”

”It’s okay. I made an appointment for lunch today.” Chen Fan repeatedly waved his hand and apologized. ”Another day, and I’ll treat you to a meal. I haven’t thanked Uncle Ma yet for the last time.”

”Why all the thanks? Didn’t you just pay the interest, too?” Ma Rongtao gave a bright smile. ”Since you are busy at noon, then I’ll not ask you to stay back. If there is any trouble later, you could ask me for help.”

”Well, certainly!” Chen Fan stopped Ma Rongtao from sending him to the door and went to the elevator alone.

.........

By the time Chen Fan had arrived at home, and he had just put the food he had bought on the road on the table, Yun Meng was back home with the white electric bike that Chen Fan had bought for her.

On the table, Chen Fan nibbled a piece of chicken leg and mumbled, ”Yun Meng, I’m going to run abroad in two days.”

”How long will it take you to get back, brother Chen Fan?” When Chen Fan had finished speaking, Yun Meng immediately raised her face and looked at Chen Fan.

”It will not be long. It’s only a period of flying back and forth in the plane. When I’m away, go to the Ma Ruoxi’s house and stay for two days. I’m friends with her father, and it doesn’t matter.

”Can... Can I go with you?” Yun Meng repeatedly poked the chopsticks in the rice, and said in a pitying manner, ”I... I don’t want to go to her house.”

”Then you can stay at home, and if there is anything, go to your aunt Wu Ruoyu’s house which is next to you for help!”

In retaliation for the scene just now, he gave the teenage girl an image more suitable for adults. ”This time I’m going to the Caribbean Islands, a place filled with pirates since ancient times. You are a girl, and it would not be safe!”
