Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1033: Plum Blossom Sword

”What kind of power is that?” Sandra gasped. She didn’t expect that Ying Zhen would stand back up and even hurt her familiar.

Even Selena didn’t know what was going on.

But both Amphitrite and Lilith instantly recognized this power.

’This is... the power of a hero?’ Amphitrite squinted her eyes. ’Don’t tell me... that familiar is not an ordinary one? Even I, who have been observing him, don’t realize he has a hidden power like this in his body...’

’The power of a hero? With this kind of power... he’s close to divinity... As long as he can condense that power into divinity, he can become a god.’ Lilith was surprised by the fact that Ying Zhen had this much power and no one ever realized it.

The sudden disturbance was so great that even Nathan, on the next battlefield, was alerted, specifically his divine beasts.

”Master. It looks like something interesting is happening on that side,” Peng informed while fending off his enemy.

”Heroic power, huh?” Fenrir squinted his eyes.

”!!!” Nathan didn’t understand what was going on. He couldn’t help but take a single glance to the side and saw the flower between the trees. Although he didn’t know what Ying Zhen did because of the distance, the flower reminded him of something.

’Wait. That’s...’

”Master. Do you recognize it?” Peng asked.

”It is something I thought to be a fantasy, not something real. Murim... specifically, the Mount Hua Sect, Plum Blossom Sword.

”If I’m not mistaken, around the Tang Dynasty, the martial world is known to have flourished during that era.

”After that, it will be the Song Dynasty, which is a normal setting for Wuxia. Then, the Ming Dynasty... It’s the era of modern weaponry, which means guns.

”Last but not least, the Qing Dynasty, which is where the Jiangshi, or more commonly known as a hopping vampire, appeared.

”It looks like I have underestimated Ying Zhen. From the looks of it, he seems to be someone who lived between the Tang Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. Although I don’t know the exact year, something like that should happen.

”Then, the Qing Dynasty is supposed to be the time for the hopping vampire. The people in that era might have found Ying Zhen’s corpse and turned him into a jiangshi during that time.

”However, his former identity might be something related to the Mount Hua Sect, which I originally thought was only a fiction that was based on one of the five great mountains in China.

”And I don’t think it’s a low-level one either. This identity before becoming a jiangshi... is quite unique...”

Nathan explained. Even he couldn’t contain his shock at finding out this secret.

If Nathan activated his Soul Contract to check Ying Zhen’s status, he would see something even more shocking.

Name: Ying Zhen (Baek Jin-Ho)

Level: 490 (799)

Race: Jiangshi

Quality: Excellent (Low) - Perfect (Low)

Still, the one who was shocked the most was Selena. She was wondering how to upgrade Ying Zhen. In fact, she had considered asking Nathan to help him.

No one would expect such a thing to happen. If Charlotte were here, her drool might have leaked out as though she wanted to devour Ying Zhen to find out what happened.

Ying Zhen, on the other hand, was still in a trance.

He looked at his enemy, but his eyes were still not focused.

His opponent panicked. This kind of power was something even he couldn’t handle. However, Ying Zhen didn’t seem to give him enough time to think about what to do.

Ying Zhen jumped forth with a twig in his hand.

Ying Zhen swung that sword horizontally. Instinctively, the familiar jumped up as the twig actually cut everything in its path for at least 50 meters (165 feet) ahead.

The crumbling trees shocked them even more. The power difference between the previous Ying Zhen and the current him was simply too big.

Now that the familiar was in the air, Ying Zhen took a step forward and waved the twig upward.

”!!!” The familiar used his ena to get away, but the slash still reached him, cutting his left leg. ”Aaggghhh!”

The familiar still had to focus on Ying Zhen because anything could happen at this point. However, that pain caused a slight distraction, causing him to lose sight of Ying Zhen.

”Not good!” At the last moment, he could feel an overwhelming presence above him. When he turned around, he saw Ying Zhen pulling back the twig and his other hand was in front with two fingers up as though he was trying to guide his sword.

”Plum Blossom Sword, Clear Sky Spring.”

The moment he waved his twig, the petals once again manifested and hit the familiar. Each petal was like a sharp sword that cut his opponent from his outer skin to his internal organs.

”Aaaahhhhhh!” His opponent could only scream in pain, unable to use anything to stop this attack.

If Ying Zhen had been using this power from the beginning, he probably would have grown accustomed to this power in one way or another, which would have allowed him to know what kind of ability could stop this attack.

However, the sudden change made him unable to find anything. He was too busy getting shocked.

In the end, these petals cut him down and fell to the ground before splashing like water.

Ying Zhen also descended within it. The splash of the petals brightened the world, which mesmerized the people witnessing this strike.

He had just turned around the situation in a few exchanges.

The familiar died and disappeared into thin air. Ying Zhen looked at the disappearing figure. In his illusion, it was as if the demon that once slaughtered his brethren had been defeated.

Ying Zhen and Baek Jin-Ho closed their eyes at the same time.

It was at this time that blood started to leak out of the corner of his mouth as he gradually fell to the ground. In the end, he was still severely injured, so his life was still in danger.

But with the fight finished, Selena hurriedly recalled Ying Zhen. She didn’t know what was going on, but the injury could be treated by Anubis later, so for now, she let him rest.
