Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1022: Turning the Civilians into Aliens

While Nathan and Selena had a hard time against their respective opponents, the same couldn’t be said for Neyeid and Revon.

“So, you’re just a foolish child who somehow survives… that banquet.” Garam looked down on her.

“Somehow, huh? I guess that word is pretty accurate as well.” Evelyn released the killing intent she had hidden for the last seven years. “It looks like you don’t even remember someone like me. But that’s good, you can remember it in your grave. Oh, wait. You won’t even have a grave.”

Garam’s eyes turned completely black. All of a sudden, there was an eerie calm, as though both Evelyn and Garam stopped releasing their ena for a few seconds.

But during that time, the four others charged forward.

They summoned their respective familiars and clashed with each other, destroying the ceiling and returning to the surface.

Neyeid waved his blades so hard that Wals was launched very far from their position so that they wouldn’t bother Evelyn.

“…” Neyeid, despite accomplishing such a thing, glanced at his right arm as scratches suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It was as if Wals had managed to scratch him when he struck him earlier.

When Neyeid raised his head, he could see Wals’ nails were longer than they were supposed to be.

Neyeid might have learned from Revon and Evelyn, but the amount of ena in his body was not much different from Bella’s. So, it would be an interesting matchup, because that wound was soon covered in sand as though it had become his second skin.

On the other hand, Revon was completely overwhelming his opponent.

He grabbed Sharknell’s face and slammed him to the ground, creating a massive crater. Sharknell kicked Revon, but not only did he receive it head-on, he even grabbed the leg and threw him far away.

Unlike Neyeid, Revon was the second strongest person in the group. His strength and talent were once known as someone who could become a mercenary king like the Dragon King.

Even though he had yet to become a world class summoner, he wasn’t someone an arcane level summoner could handle.

“Come on. I have always wanted to rip apart the bastards who harmed my family. You will be the first one, whether you were involved or not.” Revon’s eyes were full of anger.

After waiting for so long, he finally had the chance to avenge his wife and kid.

“Kh.” Sharknell couldn’t help but grit his teeth. Before, he was confident that he could defeat the enemy, but this was beyond his expectation. He never thought the enemy would be this powerful.

Now that he thought about it, they had been fooled this whole time. Previously, they thought the enemy had several arcane level summoners, which was the reason for their confidence.

However, it looked like they had been tricked into thinking like that and lowered their guards.

The reason for them moving a bit slowly instead of evacuating the base was simply because they thought even if several arcane level summoners attacked, they could fend them off.

Even if Lucas was dead, they still had three arcane level summoners and one world class summoner.

But the moment the enemy revealed they had a world class summoner, the view changed.

Garam might be able to defeat Evelyn, but they also had to take care of the several arcane level summoners along with him, which made their position about equal.

If they had known this information from the beginning, their plan would have changed entirely.

Garam and Evelyn, who were left behind in that room, glared at each other for a while. They were sizing each other up, but it looked like Garam was planning to make the first move.

“It looks like you don’t care what happened to those people.” Garam’s expression was cold. He took out a crystal cube from his pocket. “Do you know what this is?”

“…” Evelyn didn’t reply to him, but she knew what kind of weird item Garam would take out in this situation. Judging from the way he talked, it was clear he wanted to blackmail her with the lives of hundreds, if not thousands, of people.

“This is the mother crystal that maintains the barrier of all aliens. Because of your fault, I can shatter this crystal and let all those people turn into aliens at once.

“Do you know how many people will die at that time? And their deaths will be entirely your fault.”

Evelyn just remained silent, as though she never cared about that thing. If there was such a crystal, even if he shattered it here, he wouldn’t be there to witness it.

She knew that their original plan must be to create chaos and show themselves so that the people would fear them.

However, because they had taken down Lucas and raided their base, there was no way for them to do it. That was why people wouldn’t know the reason for those humans turning into aliens.

In the end, they had robbed the ‘satisfaction’ of these people from their original plan.

Evelyn stepped forward while saying, “I know, but do you think I will care about it? A war inevitably comes with a cost. And that cost will be paid.”

“You… You are crazy.” Garam was stunned by her reaction. “You are just someone like me. Who cares how many people are dying…”

“Oh. I do pay the cost, but unfortunately, I have a person who definitely is good at bargaining.” Evelyn released her ena again. This time, she leaped toward Garam.

“!!!” Garam raised his scepter, releasing his black-colored energy in the form of a raging wave.

Evelyn punched this raging wave, distorted it, and dispersed it.

“This is… Gravity?!” Garam instantly recognized the power. “You are Evelyn Lavender! To think you are still alive…”

“How can I die before you bastards?” Evelyn took another leap and punched Garam.

Garam raised the crystal as if trying to use it as a shield. There was no way Evelyn would have destroyed it.

To his surprise, Evelyn didn’t even hesitate to punch the crystal, shatter it, and knock Garam away.

“Kh.” Garam gritted his teeth, enduring the pain. “Ha… Ha… You’re a killer like me now. You’ll be the one responsible for all the chaos in all four kingdoms.”
