Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 893: Complicated

A moment ago.

”Weʼre done here,” said Selena after pulling back the last two chains and storing the cores inside the space bracelet. ”The space bracelet is indeed convenient. We can move around while bringing so many things.”

”Agreed.” Flora nodded, walking next to her.

Nathan asked, ”Anyway, I have seen my current power. Do any of you wish to try the same thing?”

Selena shook her head. ”I got boots from my teacher, but itʼs for movement, not combat. So, I donʼt really have any change I want to test.”

Sera waved her hand. ”No. I have gotten these earrings, but their power lies in the circulation of ena, which allows me to provide even better support in Synchronization. So, I donʼt want to test anything.”

Flora smiled. ”Well, Iʼm kind of curious about my current power. Besides, I have one great spirit and two of my spirits have become great spirits. But itʼs not really on the level I want to test it right away. Iʼm good if I can work together with someone else to test it, but if itʼs only me alone, I wonʼt do it.”

Noelle grabbed her sword. She wanted to test her new sword, but it didnʼt really matter much. However, she definitely had one change. It was Murmur.

That was right. With the help of Charlotte, she was able to complete Murmurʼs summoning. She paid a hefty price, but thanks to the previous mission, she still had enough ena for her self-development.

Still, there wasnʼt much change for her, so she ultimately shook her head.

Alavenya, on the other hand, was different. She got a pair of gloves that her mother used in the past. She also had one new familiar. It might be good to test it now when it is still relatively safe.

Alavenya glanced at Flora. As if realizing what Alavenya wanted, Flora pointed at her while smiling. ”In that case, why donʼt Alavenya and I test it on the next group of aliens we can find?”

”That should be good enough.” Nathan nodded.

That was what was supposed to happen, but Jinwu abruptly dove to the ground. He didnʼt even bother to perch on Nathanʼs shoulder as usual, showing the importance of the matter he was going to report.

”Weʼve got a real problem here. Listen to me calmly.”

”Jinwu? Whatʼs the problem?” Nathan asked.

”I sensed an extraordinary presence, similar to the alien that we found in the sea.” Jinwuʼs face was dark.

Although he had the power to decimate such an alien at his peak, he was still not strong enough currently and had no choice but to run away.

”…” Nathan squinted his eyes. ”An elite class alien?”

”!!!” Sera, Alavenya, and Noelle were shocked, while Selena and Flora had already known what kind of alien it was.

”Yes. Itʼs a massive alien. Itʼs even bigger than Kunʼs current size.”

Nathan understood why Jinwu had made such a place. If it was such an extraordinary alien, they had no choice but to run away.

He just never expected that they would encounter an alien on this level right after passing the border.

”Should we continue or do we need to retreat and change our route?” Flora asked.

”Did the explosion earlier wake it up?” Sera tilted her head in confusion.

”It doesnʼt matter.” Jinwu shook his head. ”Although faint, thereʼs a movement in the wood. Iʼm afraid there is actually a group of humans chasing after this alien that is currently moving toward us.”

”Seriously?” Nathan smiled wryly. ”This has become even more complicated.”

Flora agreed. ”If we run right away, the alien might change their target and eliminate that small group. If we come to help them, we might have to face an elite class alien. We surely donʼt have enough strength to go against an elite class alien. I donʼt even know if we have the strength to protect them while escaping.”

Selena thought for a moment. ”Should we retreat?”

If someone had to decide, it would be Selena. After all, this mission was for her. If Nathan pushed them forward, it meant they wouldnʼt be able to go back anymore.

On the other hand, if they fought this elite class alien, they wouldnʼt know the result. There was a chance they wouldnʼt be able to continue their journey after defeating the alien in one way or another.

In other words, the only thing that would affect the result was the importance of their original mission in Selenaʼs heart.

That was why Selena made the decision for everyone.

”Right now. The route weʼre going to take is the same route for the return trip. If we continue in this direction, we will have to face the elite class alien again.

”Hence, if we go forward at this instance, itʼs the same as blocking our escape route.

”On the other hand, if we change our route, we can probably make it safer. If I have to choose whether to go forward or not, then my decision is the latter. However, the exact plan will be in your hand, Nathan. Are we going to fight the alien just to create an opportunity, or should we just change our route?” explained Selena.

Despite her desire to go straight to her father, Selena was still able to maintain her rational self.

It was enough to make Nathan smile.

It was indeed a hard decision. After all, they had to face it right at the beginning of their journey. If it was in the middle, it was the same as not having any other choice but to go forward, but in this scenario, he had to consider the best optimal solution.

When Nathan opened his mouth, Jinwu suddenly turned around and shouted, ”Something is coming!”

”!!!” Everyone turned around, following Jinwuʼs gaze. All of a sudden, a middle-aged man appeared on top of a tree not far from them.

Both Flora and the middle-aged man recognized each other.

”Your Highness Flora?” The middle-aged man gasped.

”Count Einren?” Flora raised her eyebrows. ”What are you, a follower of the first prince, doing here?”

When Nathan heard the identity of the other party, his face turned completely dark.
