Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 612: Retreating

”Captain.” Sonia returned to Evelynʼs side after the battle was over.

”En? Are you done over there?” Evelyn asked.

”Yes. The enemies have been exterminated. Itʼs just… I have found a lot of people inside. Theyʼre using the back door to slip out of the city. For the time being, I have put everyone who can stop them to sleep.

”I wonder if itʼs alright for me to ask you to teleport them to the nearest city where they can be safe? If possible, a city inside a kingdom. I donʼt know how they will be treated by the city because of the ash cloud. Itʼs just…” Sonia scratched the back of her head.

Evelyn crossed her arms, pondering for a moment.

Sonia smiled wryly. This was a big request, so it wouldnʼt be weird for Evelyn to reject her.

To her surprise, Evelyn said, ”In that case, weʼll teleport them to Neyeidʼs group. He should be able to take care of these people for the time being, considering he has purchased a lot of food before they begin giving out food. Rather than letting all the food go bad, itʼs better to use it on them.

”During that time, Neyeid can try to send them back home. This is the Black Cat Organization weʼre talking about. They must be summoners. If there are some nobles, it will be good for Neyeid to have a connection with them.

”In addition, I will ask Nathan to check them to see if he can treat them or not. This should be enough.”

”!!!” Sonia raised her eyebrows. ”Youʼre willing to do all that? For strangers?”

”This is just a win-win situation.” Evelyn shrugged. ”Nathan had told us before, right? With the increased number of aliens, there might be stronger aliens bringing numerous aliens against us. We need as many summoners as we can.

”If they can overcome their condition, they can definitely fight against those aliens. Even if theyʼre vengeful and want to destroy this kind of organization, it means more soldiers and summoners who are supposed to handle this type of thing will be directed to the front line.

”Either way, itʼs not a big deal for us. I believe Nathan will suggest the same thing.” Evelyn explained.

”!!!” Sonia was in utter shock. Just like back then, even though Evelyn was trying to fulfill her revenge, it didnʼt mean she would abandon everything else. Sonia nodded. ”I understand. Iʼll follow the captainʼs arrangement.”

Evelyn nodded. ”Anyway, go to Neyeid and the others and inform them about the retreat. After that, tell Neyeid about my plan, since he needs to sort out this matter personally. I will regroup with Nathan and Christopher before teleporting everyone out of this place.”

”Yes!” Sonia nodded furiously and dove into her shadow.

If Evelyn was someone who was considerate after being presented with the problem, Nathan was the one who had thought about the future possibility without being asked.

The moment Evelyn entered the building, she was stunned to find Nathan walking with Anubis. In the first place, Nathan originally didnʼt want to summon his beast. Still, if there was no one around, he would probably not care about it.

The problem was that huge sphere of bandage that Anubis carried on top of him.

”Captain? Youʼre done? Now that I think about it, the time is about right. Are we retreating now?”

”Yeah. What are you doing?” Evelyn pointed at the sphere. ”Are you kidnapping someone?”

”Nope.” Nathan shrugged. ”These are all kinds of documents and books I can find in this place. There are probably documents about the kidnapped people and their personal information.

”Since after this, I have to stay on the base for a while to lure out those people from the Ashton family. I think about sorting these documents. There should be a lot of people here, so they might be able to go back to their family.

”If not, let Neyeid handle them. Having a group of summoners under him will be good. And giving them a new home will allow Neyeid to build some loyal followers.

”Besides, you said Sonia was kidnapped by the Black Cat Organization. There might still be some records about it.”

Evelyn blinked her eyes a few times. On the one hand, she knew how ruthless Nathan could be. She had seen that darkness itself. On the other hand, Nathan was considerate enough to do something like this.

”Well, some can be used as evidence that I can use them to get some help from the kingdom. Either way, let me stay on the base for two or three days.”

Evelyn closed her eyes for a moment. ”Is that so? Letʼs do just that.”

Nathan nodded with a smile. He couldnʼt really say that he was trying to help them because they reminded him of his past self. If not for the director of the orphanage taking him in, he would have died on the street.

He had seen a lot of kids with various stories, so since it wasnʼt a big matter, he wanted to help a bit. At least let them go to the place they belonged.

”And I didnʼt see you taking any books or documents from the previous base.”

”I wasnʼt inside, remember? Should we go back and find some documents?”

”We can do that later.” Evelyn nodded. ”Besides, I and Bella can help.”

”Now that I think about it, I havenʼt stayed on our base for long. Actually, thereʼs something bugging me now. Where is our base location, anyway?” Nathan asked.

”Ah. You have only been to three rooms so far, if I remember correctly…”

”Yeah. The interrogation room, the main hall, and the storage. Nothing else.”

”Once we go back, do you want to tour around the base? Our location is in the neutral zone, close to the Holy Kingdom. Well, itʼs actually Revonʼs vacation home he bought when he was still active as a mercenary.”

”Oh! Now, Iʼm curious.” Nathan grinned. ”Anyway, we have talked too much. Letʼs begin our retreat.”

”Have you taken everything?”

”Yep.”

”Still, wonʼt they worry if we take these documents? Whoever that will be bothered by them, including the Divine Hand.”

”Nope. Because… Jinwu.” Nathan summoned Jinwu and pointed at the floor. ”Burn this down.”

”Ah. Since we destroyed them and it was far from other buildings, we could completely raze this building to the ground. All right. Letʼs go back then.” Evelyn nodded.
