Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 589: Sashaʼs Evolution

Nathan was speechless after listening to Charlotteʼs assessment. If that was indeed true, his innate ability was definitely terrifying. After all, let alone one, if he had enough ena, he could evolve everyone.

The problem was one thing. They simply didnʼt have enough ena to do it. At the same time, the higher someoneʼs rank was, the more ena they needed to evolve.

If it was someone like Charlotte, he might even need hundreds of thousands, if not millions. He couldnʼt imagine what would happen if he wanted to evolve Anubis and the others.

That was why he simply didnʼt have enough resources to do so.

However, Nathan remembered something. In that dream, he remembered fighting against 1,000 elite class aliens. With each elite class alien core giving 500,000 to 1,000,000 ena, a thousand of them would be giving him close to a billion ena.

That was a number no one ever imagined. In addition, there might also be an apex class or even beyond that. If the dream was indeed a premonition, he might actually have enough ena to actually evolve all his divine beasts at the very least.

”…” Nathan closed his eyes for a moment before saying, ”Well, I have a limited amount of ena, so I canʼt really say much about it for the time being. My limit is probably a familiar like Sasha as of now. Even if I can use ena from different sources, it will require at least a storage of tens of thousands of ena.”

”Fair enough.” She nodded in agreement.

Vivian crossed her arms. This was the first time she saw an innate ability with her own eyes. She was stunned, finally realizing the absurdity of an innate ability.

According to the information, Elysionʼs innate ability allowed him to possess three lifebound familiars without paying a price. He then combined the power of three Death Gods and became the strongest summoner in the world.

That was absurd, but Nathan was even more unimaginable. If this was known by other people, she was afraid he would be hunted down. People would definitely love to get their hands on this innate ability.

Even if they couldnʼt be caught, the others were different. It was fortunate that Sera, Flora, Alavenya, and even Noelle had a powerful background. The problem would be Selena. However, if the Sage ended up officially taking her as a disciple, there was no one who could take advantage of Nathan.

Vivian thought for a moment before saying, ”Nathan. I donʼt mind if youʼre going to experiment with your contract, but donʼt openly show it, even to the girls.

”Even if you can trust them, knowing this information alone will bring any danger to them. If anyone cares about their status, they wonʼt attack, but organizations like the Divine Hand wonʼt care about their background.

”Just having this information has put them in danger. I might be paranoid, but an innate ability is a rarity in this world, so itʼs best to be careful.

”Well, I believe if you are halfway to becoming an arcane level summoner or have married them, I think itʼs fine if you want to disclose it to them. But I suggest you not do it now.”

Nathan smiled wryly. He had been contemplating it as well. Considering how bad his luck was, he was just worried that there were people who decided to ignore their background.

Of course, the girls might not disclose it, but this magical world even had a fairy queen that could create an illusion of oneʼs memory, so it wouldnʼt be weird if they somehow heard it even if they didnʼt actively search for that information.

Nathan nodded. ”I know.”

”Good.”

”For the time being, I will be researching blood to ensure thereʼs nothing wrong with your blood.” Charlotte glanced at Nathan.

”Sure.” Nathan agreed, assuring them he wouldnʼt recklessly use his blood. It appeared he had to stop giving Lisa his blood for the time being. If there was nothing else, he could speed up her evolution by using the soul contract and his blood, so it didnʼt really matter.

If it took too long, he could just use Selenaʼs blood and supply the soul contract. If his teacher was still unable to trust Selena, he could make another contract that ensured the secrecy.

”In that case, all we need to do right now is wait for Sasha, huh?” Nathan tilted his head.

”Yes. Looking at the current rate, she should finish in another 50 minutes.”

”I will be staying here for the time being.” Nathan thought for a moment. ”Thatʼs right. Is it possible to use my contract to not only ignore the pain but also reduce the heat on my body whenever I absorb a core? This way, I can use that time to practice.”

”Hmm?” Charlotte and Vivian immediately narrowed their eyes. Charlotte explained, ”I donʼt think you should do that. Your body heats up because the ena vein is being stretched by the ena from the core.

”Losing that function means you lose your sense of danger. In addition, itʼs advised not to use your ena during the refining process. After all, your ena will become unstable because of the rampaging ena from the core. If itʼs a prolonged use, thereʼs a chance for your ena vein to rupture.

”I can understand losing your pain so that you can do something else or not pass out, but if the pain exceeds the limit, you will still be knocked out all of a sudden, especially when you are having strenuous movements.

”And I donʼt really want to have you lose your pain and get addicted to it. While itʼs true that pain is not something we like, it allows us to know weʼre alive. Losing that sensation will basically turn you into a kind of undead.”

”Is that so?” Nathan contemplated before nodding his head. ”I understand. I will stick to the original method.”

In the end, Nathan just swallowed a few mature class cores to pass the time. Vivian monitored Sashaʼs cocoon once in a while, but Charlotte focused on the blood and other preparations.

Finally, after a long 50 minutes, the cocoon started glowing from the inside, showing Sashaʼs silhouette.
