Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

Inside the tavern in Ephesus.

Shen Fei had just been talking with the Moon God about the events that occurred after they arrived, and the Moon God whispered, ”When I came in, I knew I had become Iphigenia. But I didn’t know how to find you.

Nor did I dare to pray to Artemis, so I could only wait silently.”

”Trying to find an opportunity to come to Ephesus to attempt to stop the temple from being burned, but didn’t expect you were already here.”

The Moon God couldn’t help but sigh, the master is indeed the master, the things she had planned for so long, the master easily achieved.

She even became the Moon God’s envoy, responsible for assisting the master to stop Artemis Temple from being burned.

Though she has supervisory rights, how could she possibly supervise the master?

Shen Fei didn’t expect Iphigenia to be the Moon God, it seems to be another situation like the ’Battle of Zhulu,’ where Summoned Beasts replaced certain existences.

This is his golden finger in this ’Ancient Greece,’ otherwise, how would he reverse a fate that even Zeus finds difficult to counter?

”The current situation is...”

Shen Fei and the Moon God discussed the information he had, and also that Artemis knew her temple was going to be burned, but because it was a prophecy from the Goddess of Destiny.

So even if it is stopped now, it is unlikely to fully prevent it.

Just as Shen Fei initially considered, even if they were to kill Herodotus now, others would complete the ’prophecy.’

The process might change, but the result remains unchanged.

The Moon God frowned, ”Since the birth of the Three Goddesses of Destiny, no one has been able to completely reverse the prophecies of fate, at most it can be delayed, but it still eventually leads to the ’birth’ of the result.”

”And even delaying it is not something ordinary Divine Spirits can achieve, previously only second-generation gods like Titans could do it.”

Hearing this, Shen Fei slightly frowned, ”But why would Artemis give this task to me, if she also believes the prophecy of the Goddess of Destiny is hard to reverse?”

The Moon God has Iphigenia’s memories, meaning she has even experienced the Trojan War hundreds of years ago, her understanding of the Divine Spirits is much deeper than Shen Fei now.

Suddenly saying, ”Could Artemis think you are a Demigod or even a second-generation god like Zeus and them?”

”Because ordinary mortals could not possibly pass a Divine Assessment, which is just a way to stimulate the potential of a Demigod and make them a ’hero.’

Shen Fei heard this, somewhat surprised, ”Is that so?”

This was something he really didn’t know, suddenly recalling that when he asked Artemis if she could continue to enhance his strength, Artemis said no.

Unless he was a Demigod or originally a Divine Spirit, completing the assessment would be able to further enhance his power.

Could this mean she already knows he is a Titan, or perhaps a Demigod?

”Perhaps that’s why Artemis entrusted the task to you, all mortals’ fate is controlled by the Three Goddesses of Destiny, the prophecies they issue mortals cannot even shake.”

”Only when it involves the power of Divine Spirits can it be shaken, delaying the outcome of prophecies, making the threads of fate gain ’elasticity.’”

Shen Fei tapped the table, actually, he is not unable to take on this identity, and with this identity, perhaps there will be more room for maneuvering.

”Leaving aside these speculations, not mentioning reversal, who can affect the prophecy of the Goddess of Destiny.”

Shen Fei did not expect this task to be harder than he imagined, which is somewhat like the small situations can be changed, but the major trends cannot be altered.

If there wasn’t Summoned Beast’s assistance, this task indeed should have been abandoned.

However, the reward is a Grotto Heaven Fragment, right now the Fire Cloud Grotto that Chi You wields is practically a Grotto Heaven Fragment, almost escorting Chi You to True Immortal.

What is lacking now is just how to further Chi You’s Law Comprehension.

If they can complete this task, the Moon God also has the assurance of a True Immortal path, so it cannot just be seen as obtaining a Summoned Beast of [Mythical] Quality.

But rather seen as completing the task would obtain a Summoned Beast that guarantees True Immortal status.

”Apollo, Hercules, Zeus, Prometheus, either holding the power of [Prophecy] or possessing Old God Level strength... perhaps Athena can also.”

The Moon God listed the powers that can affect fate one by one.

”Apollo...”

Shen Fei assessed, this seems to be the easiest power to gain, after all, Apollo is Artemis’s brother, and the relations of the two gods are not known to be bad.

At the time of the Trojan War, Artemis also intervened, Apollo wouldn’t just watch his sister’s temple be destroyed, right?

”Where is the Apollo Temple?”

”Delphi.”

Shen Fei nodded, not sure if Artemis would tell Apollo, but he certainly has to make a trip there, letting Apollo see he is dedicated to handling matters for Artemis.

At least give him a bit of strength.

Even giving the weapon or tool that would complete Artemis’s task would be good, after all, Hercules received a lot of help to complete his assessment.

”First take control of Ephesus, suppress the beliefs in other Divine Spirits, and promote Artemis’s Moon Rank.”

Shen Fei tapped the table, completing the assessment is urgent, promoting Artemis’s [Moon] Rank is also important, at least Artemis can become stronger, which can slightly delay the fate of the temple being burned.

Previously, Shen Fei was just a priest, may only be able to have nobles and council members of Ephesus assist him.

But now he represents the will of Artemis, can have many nobles in Ephesus follow the orders.

At least regarding matters about Artemis, it would go through smoothly.

Before long, many nobles and council members in Ephesus are discussing the topic of Artemis being the Moon God at the meal table, actions speak louder than words.

The topic flowing down from the nobles’ tables naturally becomes something chewed on by many commoners, and Shen Fei has people start modifying the Artemis Temple.

Adding symbols representing the ’Moon.’

Meanwhile, in the rituals worshiping Artemis, they included gestures of worshiping the Moon, symbolizing Artemis as one of the Moon Gods.

Not only in Ephesus, but also many city-states in the Ionia area began to have rhetoric about Artemis being the Moon God.

Accompanying this rhetoric is the joint journey of Shen Fei and Shen Yueshen venturing to Delphi.

He never thought about completing Artemis’s task right away.

What a joke.

In Ancient Greece, true strength is defined by which god stands behind you, at least now Artemis is not yet enough to hard confront Ares.

Otherwise, knowing that Ares likely schemed against her, Artemis would directly draw her bow and shoot arrows, making Aphrodite unable to enjoy the pleasures of being a god.

First, let’s get Apollo on board before anything else.
