Summoners: One Golden Term per Level

As the mission appeared, the statue that had swallowed the ’Source of Moon Law’ began to glimmer with moonlight, enveloping Shen Fei completely.

In an instant.

The scene before Shen Fei quickly transformed, and a faint scent of the sea wafted through his nostrils.

As the vision gradually settled, he found himself lying in bed. Shen Fei got up from the bed, and fragments of memory suddenly surfaced in his mind.

”Ephesus Star Moon Priest, Ancient Greek era?”

Shen Fei rubbed his temples, the might of the Blue Star Heavenly Dao truly exceeded his imagination. Was this a place similar to the ’Battle of Zhulu’ Ancient Secret Realm?

Or was it truly the ancient Greek period?

A moment later.

Shen Fei dismissed this confusion. Now wasn’t the time to be entangled in this matter; as long as he completed the task, he could return.

Although there was supposedly no task failure, if the Artemis Temple were to be burned, naturally, his mission would fail.

Failing to control the Artemis Temple would mean failing the ’Summon God’ of the Moon God, though he wondered if failure would mean the Moon God could become [Tier One of Myth].

”Little Pu...”

Shen Fei silently recited in his heart, but after waiting for a moment, he received no response, causing him to frown slightly.

Could it be that the connection between him and his Summoned Beast was severed?

Was it directly blocked, or was it like during the ’Battle of Zhulu’, merely isolated, making it key that he couldn’t contact Little Pu, who could connect with multiple Summoned Beasts.

’Troublesome!’

Shen Fei sighed, indeed finding it troublesome as he squeezed his own hand, noting it too was significantly sealed.

At least weakened by eighty percent, at most reaching the physical fitness of a Fourth-tier Warrior profession.

Shen Fei continued to try, manifesting a ball of burning flame in his palm, which then turned into a ball of water.

”Only able to use Tier Four magic, but at least the types are not limited.” Shen Fei, after spending some time trying, had a rough grasp of his strength.

”To prevent the burning of the Artemis Temple, I at least need to know approximately what time it is now...”

Shen Fei calmed himself down, acknowledging that although it was indeed peculiar, it probably wasn’t life-threatening. At worst, he could wait for the Artemis Temple to burn down on its own.

Then directly fail the task and find another opportunity to elevate the Moon God to [Tier One of Myth], since for him, a [Tier One of Myth] isn’t urgently needed.

However,

This task also rewards Grotto Heaven Fragments, which is another opportunity to ascend in one step, and it would indeed be a pity to give it up.

”If it were merely ordinary people.

If Herodotus came to burn Artemis, I would only need to have the guards stop everyone on that day, but surely they aren’t ordinary people...”

Shen Fei surveyed the surroundings; the primary construction materials around this temple were marble, and even his resting place was mostly stone, not much wood.

If it were merely ordinary flame, how could it possibly burn this temple to ruins?

Needless to say, it surely isn’t an ordinary ancient Greece, much like the ’Battle of Zhulu’, but one where Greek gods exist.

”Fire... in that case, it may involve other gods.”

Shen Fei slightly frowned while donning the priest’s robe. The priest’s robe of the Artemis Temple had a white base, smooth material, and gold patterns resembling bows and arrows embroidered beneath the sleeves.

Moreover, the rest of the robe also featured bow and arrow marks, along with some prey and hunter symbols, symbolizing the various divine authorities of Artemis.

While wearing the robe, he sorted out his thoughts.

Stopping Herodotus was merely superficial; the key was to find the mastermind behind the fire and its origin, for only by stopping it at the source could Artemis be completely protected from being burned.

Otherwise,

Even if Herodotus couldn’t succeed, others might still come.

”The past struggles of various Greek gods were mostly for so-called faiths, or contests for divine authority,

and love-hate entanglements...”

Though Shen Fei wasn’t well-versed in Greek mythology from his past life, he knew the battles among Greek gods often originated from very ludicrous circumstances.

Or should I say,

The Greek gods, called gods, differed little from mighty humans, especially that certain Dumas who sampled numerous species – Zeus.

It could be said that many events arose because this guy left traces everywhere, and paired with a jealous wife, countless absurd godly wars all stemmed from Zeus.

Shen Fei walked through the temple’s corridors, along which also roamed robed priests who, upon seeing Shen Fei, stopped to bow respectfully.

Shen Fei remained expressionless.

Yet he felt slightly pressed, as who knew if one day he might awaken to find this temple suddenly engulfed in flames.

First, he needed to ascertain the current time, then ponder over the root cause of the fire, and which gods were implicated.

”Here it is...”

Shen Fei arrived at the place where the temple’s history and divine oracles were documented. Ephesus worshipped Artemis, and the standing of the Artemis Temple in Ephesus was of the highest order.

The priests of the Artemis Temple even had a say in the appointment of the city’s governor.

The crucial part was that the miracles of Greek gods were barely veiled.

Divine oracles were received daily, and Zeus’ proclamation that ’gods cannot interfere in the mortal world’ merely meant they didn’t appear publicly, but the mortal world was rife with traces of the gods.

Therefore, the place storing divine oracles and history in the Artemis Temple was naturally extremely prosperous.

A moment later.

Shen Fei examined one book’s record, ’The Trojan War over seven hundred years ago...’, ’Olympic Century Year 102’.

”Hmm.”

Shen Fei slightly raised his brows. Although he wasn’t particularly acquainted with occurrences in Ancient Greece, these events were noteworthy to both gods and humans.

Since they were recorded,

And Shen Fei also knew the origin of the Olympic Games, which was in 766 BC.

”So it’s just under five years?”

Shen Fei calculated, realizing the time was indeed short. If he could still have Little Pu and the others to assist, five years would be a breeze.

But now...

”Nonetheless, being a priest still has many functions, at least acting as a bridge to communicate between gods and humans, enabling significant known facts.”

Shen Fei put down the historical records, and among the records, some faint traces of divine relationships emerged.

During the original Trojan War, several gods respectively supported Troy and the Greek armies.

One side included Artemis.

On the other side, Shen Fei soon detected the name Hephaestus.

”Fire God?”

Shen Fei slightly frowned, pondering whether it had something to do with Hephaestus.

If the flames were given by him, then even if the Artemis Temple was entirely made of stone, it could be burned down.
