Slime Evolution

Chapter 80: 80 - Two Level 11 Evolutions!

Upon returning home, Lohan tried his new ”meal.”

Finally using clean water to drink, and with the new higher quality food sachets, for the first time Lohan felt that his food wasn’t bad.

Obviously, drinking nutrient solutions wasn’t tasty at all, even with the higher quality solution and drinking it with water that didn’t stink, the taste was still only at an acceptable level.

But the biggest difference he felt when eating this was the energy he absorbed!

If he were to put that energy into values, it was as if the old sachet gave him 10 energy points, while this new sachet had an incredible 30 points!

Drinking it with [Efficient Digestion Lv 16] helping with digestion made each sip energize his body on a whole new level.

Reaching his hand forward, Lohan looked at his fingers in wonder, feeling as if he could lift the world!

Not wanting to let this energy go to waste, he quickly bent down and started exercising!

When he reached level 03, he could do 25 reps before getting tired, but now at level 04, consuming this more nutritious solution, when he pushed himself to the limit, he managed to double that number, reaching 50 reps before getting tired, resting for 60 seconds, and repeating the 50 reps again!

In total, Lohan did 200 repetitions of push-ups, sit-ups, and squats, totaling 600 repetitions!

When he got up from the floor, his body was covered in sweat, but the feeling of physical development was palpable.

The process of exercising might be slow to show results in normal people, but for Lohan, every day he felt as if his body was changing more, with his muscles becoming more defined and his endurance increasing nonstop, as if he had no bottlenecks!

Seeing that 55 minutes had passed since he disconnected from Elysium, Lohan put the helmet on his head, lay down on the floor so as not to dirty the bed, and returned to the game.

As he pressed the start button on the Neural Helmet, Lohan felt the familiar sensation of traveling through hyperspace. Lights flashed around him and images passed before his eyes as if he were traveling light-years in a single instant.

Suddenly, the 360-degree vision returned, and in front of him was a small white fox, looking at him contentedly.

”Shall we hunt?” she asked.

He gave her a thumbs up and climbed onto her back.

In these last few days together, Lisa was already much more accustomed to carrying the slime on her back.

Even more so now that Lohan was no longer carrying the Acid inside him, even though his body was larger than its previous size, it was still at a controllable level.

Whenever they encountered a monster, they coordinated to attack using the tactics they had trained with while fighting the Serpents, and experience notifications popped up in front of them.

While other Players needed to form groups of 4 people to deal with a monster of the same level as them, Lohan and Lisa were hunting monsters of an even higher level than them, while forming a group of just the two of them.

When a monster died, Lohan would climb down from Lisa’s back and digest its head in a few minutes, needing only the time it took Lisa to catch her breath to completely digest the monster’s mind and try to achieve some new Evolution.

Unfortunately, achieving new evolutions from common monsters was not as frequent as he had imagined.

But he still managed to achieve some interesting evolutions.

[Biological Elasticity Lv 1]

[Improves biological compression and elastic recovery capacity.]

A good Evolution to help him absorb impacts or even in his own movement, making his body more elastic, able to stretch further.

[Hydrophobic Coating Lv 1]

[Reduces the dilution of gelatinous mass in contact with water.]

A useful evolution so that he would not die instantly like some stupider Slimes that fell into the water and were diluted.

Although his membrane was already resistant enough to withstand this, it was still good to have another safeguard.

In addition to these new evolutions, his biomass gains in the next few hours were also significant.

Even though he wasn’t in contact with the ground 100% of the time to constantly digest biomass, Lohan still managed to accumulate 150 biomass.

A value that once seemed astronomical was something he received in a few hours of grinding today.

In order not to waste this biomass inside him, Lohan quickly bought several upgrades.

His first purchase was:

[Passive Digestion Lv 5 → Lv 6]

Currently, the change this brought was not very significant, considering that most of his current biomass gains did not come directly from his base digestion speed, which was what this evolution was based on.

But despite this, it was still an Evolution that Lohan wanted to bring to Lv 11 as quickly as possible, excited to see what change it would bring!

[Instinctive Perception Lv 9 → Lv 11]

Even though he already had many perception evolutions, Lohan still felt that evolving this one in particular would not be a bad thing, especially with it so close to level 11.

And the characteristic he received did not disappoint!

[After 10 minor evolutions, Instinctive Perception is undergoing a qualitative evolution...]

[New trait obtained: Spatial Echo Location!]

[Spatial Echo Location: The core now interprets atmospheric and ground vibrations as a continuous three-dimensional mapping, independent of line of sight, limited to the distance of the target.]

[Membrane Reinforcement Lv 10 → Lv 11]

As this was another evolution that was already close to Lv 11, Lohan couldn’t resist and evolved this as well!

[After 10 minor evolutions, Membrane Reinforcement is undergoing a qualitative evolution...]

[New trait obtained: Non-Newtonian Resilience!]

[Non-Newtonian Resilience: The membrane is now able to instantly change its molecular viscosity in response to kinetic force.]

This was a pleasant surprise!

Lohan didn’t imagine he would receive something like this!

From what he understood of this skill, the faster and more violent the impact received, the more rigid the membrane would become at the point of contact, acting as a solid barrier, without him having to actively alter the resistance of his membrane!

Sure, the effect of this ”automatic” resistance would still be much less than him actively switching it, but at this point, Lohan was getting surprised at how versatile he was becoming!

Excited, he further accelerated his grinding speed with Lisa!
