Slime Evolution

Chapter 72: 72 - Normal Girl

The distance between them and Thalendor was not short, and now without any Mana Stones to digest while being carried, Lohan felt the need to increase his speed again.

During battle, not having to focus on movement was great, but losing 40 minutes of digestion was the same as throwing 49 Biomass in the trash... considering how many evolutions he could buy with that amount, he wished he had eyes to shed a tear for it now.

He even thought about taking a piece of the giant snake to digest on the way, but when he noticed the cold look Lisa gave him, he quickly gave up on that.

”It’s okay, I’ll be able to play all day for the next few days, so I’ll be able to make up for it with more grinding... and with the speed of my passive digestion, even if I log off for 8 hours to sleep, I’ll get more than 50 Biomass from it, so it’s not all bad.” He thought, reassuring himself as he ignored the feeling of Biomass draining through his fingers.

But feeling the Digestive Acid of the Shadow Serpents, he became excited and curious to know how much they would receive for it.

Arriving near Thalendor, Lohan finally climbed down from Lisa’s back, causing the little fox to breathe a sigh of relief.

”Stop exaggerating, I’m not that heavy.” He said, ignoring that he was carrying more than 10 liters of Digestive Acid inside him, which alone weighed more than 10 kilograms, not counting the 30% increase in his volume.

Sure, Lohan wasn’t really heavy, especially considering that Lisa was now Level 05, but his large mass made her movement very uncomfortable considering that, unlike him, she was still the same size as when she was Level 01.

Lisa rolled her eyes. ”I’m going to log off, the night was very productive, but sleeping later than this will hinder my development.”

Lohan was about to agree when he remembered something. ”Wait!”

The fox stopped, looking at him suspiciously. ”What is it?”

Lohan made a hand gesture and pointed inside himself. ”We need to confirm that when I disconnect, this Acid will dissolve with my body, or if it will spread across the floor.”

This made Lisa freeze, realizing that this could indeed be a big problem. ”You’re right... we should have tested this in the crevice!”

Lohan agreed with her, but they were both so exhausted from the battle and ecstatic about leveling up that they had forgotten this detail. ”Wait for me, I’ll disconnect and come back as soon as possible. If something goes wrong, try to save as much of the acid as you can.”

Lisa looked at him blankly. She wanted to do what he said, but considering she had no hands or anything to store it in, she knew it would be useless.

She couldn’t even open her mouth to store the acid inside her because it would act like poison in her body and do more harm than good.

In the end, she could only watch.

Then the slime disconnected, causing its blue, round body to slowly transform into particles of light that disappeared as they flew into the sky.

Seeing that nothing remained where he had been, she let out a sigh of relief.

Then Halon returned, and after confirming that everything was fine, he also disconnected.

Lisa opened her menu and also disconnected, feeling her own body transform into particles of light this time, while her consciousness flew back to the real world.

Opening her eyes, she pressed a button to drain the nutritional liquid from her capsule, then a pleasant breeze swept through the capsule, drying her clothes and hair slightly, but when the glass door opened, her body was still a little sticky and damp.

”Damn, when are they going to send me the final product?” She complained, looking impatiently at the prototype of the Elysium capsule.

These capsules were something that the Human Federation had commissioned the best doctors from the Vance Group to help with research, and in return, they received the research results firsthand.

Unfortunately, the final product would still take a few days to be ready, a product that would not only eliminate the need for sleep, but if loaded with enough nutritional liquid, could sustain a connected Player for a few days without the need to disconnect.

Putting that thought aside, Lisa, or rather Isabella, went to the bathroom and took a long, relaxing hot bath.

Lying completely naked in the bathtub, her long red hair spread across the crystal clear water, her smooth, white skin contrasted with the ceramic of the bathtub, displaying the impeccable symmetry of her natural curves.

Her closed eyes revealed long, dark eyelashes, while the bathroom light was bright enough to highlight the fine features of her face, devoid of any imperfections, but not intense enough to illuminate the beautiful body lying there, without any clothes.

Opening her eyes slowly, Isabella remembered something.

With a slight twitch of her left eye, a golden screen floated in front of her as she opened an app.

[Syn]

The largest social network and interplanetary communication app.

Having a very good memory, she remembered perfectly the Syn Code that Halon had given her, but then a question remained.

’Do I add him to my corporate account or use my personal account for this?

If she used her corporate account, it was possible that political opponents would notice this new person and try to deal with him, even if they didn’t know how he was useful to her... Her personal account, on the other hand, would not cause this problem, as it was an account that only her closest friends had access to, and all her contacts there were private.

After considering it for a few seconds, she finally decided to use her private account.

When she entered his identification code, a profile appeared on her screen.

[Hayes]

”Hayes... is that his last name?” She wondered curiously, thinking again about what her partner was like.

Initially, she thought he might be a middle-aged man, especially after realizing he was from the Lower Zone, considering that this was perhaps the only way someone could afford to buy an Elysium helmet.

But after a few days of living together, she was sure he was young.

To Isabella, Halon was a complete mystery.

Nothing about him made sense... he was a young boy from the Lower Zone, who despite probably having a bad job, somehow bought an Elysium Helmet, was surprisingly intelligent, both for planning, analysis, or even combat...

When he spoke, he exuded much more confidence and serenity than most of the people from the Upper Zone she had met in her life, and despite acting this way, deducing that she was someone from the Upper Zone (which wasn’t very difficult), he didn’t start acting submissive or subservient, treating her just like a normal girl!

”A normal girl...” She thought dreamily, lowering her head slightly into the warm water and wondering what that would be like, without noticing a pretty small smile appearing at the corner of her mouth. ’At least, there I can be a normal girl...”
