Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1552: The Reason She Holds Him ( 1552 )

Garcinia narrowed her eyes at Garius with a knowing smile.

”Big Sister dotes on Javier too much. He’s no longer a boy. He’s a grown man now. Yet she still treats him like he’s a child.”

Garius just smiled, his gaze following Fransesca’s joyful figure as she disappeared down the path.

”She has her reasons. Let her do what she wants. She’s earned the right to enjoy these moments.”

Phenelopie nodded, her voice soft and thoughtful.

”If it were me... I don’t know if I could do that with Heres. He’d probably be too embarrassed to let me drag him around like that.”

Eridith, who was munching on a bowl of meat, simply shrugged, her voice casual.

”Let her be. She’s happy. He’s happy. That’s all that matters.” She stuffed another piece of meat into her mouth and mumbled under her breath. ”I’m hungry. I need more meat.”

Mylezra let out a soft chuckle, shaking her head before glancing toward the beach.

”We should head toward the beach now. The others are probably waiting for us.”

Garius nodded with a smirk, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

”Maybe I should contact Lioness and Veldrac and bring them here so they can spend time with their children too. Felicia and Mimi would love to see their father. And Delya would be delighted to see her brother.”

He paused, tapping his chin.

”Perhaps I should also contact Liana and Gloria’s family, along with Meira’s family. A family vacation is better when the whole family is here.”

Everyone smiled, then fell in behind Garius down the path. Eridith glanced at her empty bowl, then up at him.

”Dear?”

”Hmm? Yes, my dragon queen~?”

Eridith tapped her chin with one finger, her expression thoughtful.

”Isn’t she the reason Javier still acts like a child sometimes? Smart and strong as he is... he still lets her treat him like a little kid.”

Garius let out a rare, soft chuckle, his gaze drifting toward where Fransesca had disappeared.

”I don’t know much about that, my dear. About why Javier becomes a child around her... Perhaps it’s because... she wished for it. She wanted him to stay her little boy for as long as possible. And he, whether he realizes it or not, granted that wish.”

Garcinia and Phenelopie both furrowed their brows.

”But before...” Garcinia began, her voice carrying a note of confusion. ”Wasn’t Big Sister more... reserved? She cared when it was needed, of course. She was loving, but not... overbearing. She never smothered Javier like this. She was affectionate, but still gave them space to grow. When did it change?”

Phenelopie nodded slowly.

”I remember, too. She was always gentle, always loving, but she wasn’t overly doting like this. She raised Marcellus and Cedric with the same balance we all did with our children. It was only with Javier that she became... this. I still remember she used to let Javier run off and explore on his own. She’d watch him from a distance, smiling, but she didn’t drag him around like now.”

Garius smiled softly, both hands slipping into his pockets. He walked in silence for a moment before he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper.

”Perhaps... because she knows something that the rest of you don’t.”

He continued walking, his steps steady.

”Let her be. If she wants to hold him, let her hold him. If she wants to kiss him, let her kiss him. He’s her son. And she’s his mother. That’s all that matters.”

Just as Eridith was about to say something, Garius glanced at her with a warm smile.

”The chef is ready, and the staff and maids have already been informed. I’m sure your favorite meat is prepared just the way you like it.”

Eridith’s face lit up. She grinned and moved toward Garius, climbing onto his back and nuzzling against his shoulder.

”Ehehe~ This is why I like you, dear~”

Garcinia puffed her cheek, rubbing her belly with a playful pout.

”Your father doesn’t care about us at all. He just bribes your aunt with meat. What about us, hmm? Don’t we deserve bribes too?”

Mylezra smiled softly, glancing down at her own stomach. Her voice was quiet and content.

”I’m happy. After waiting for so long, I’m finally here. Pregnant with the man I chose. The man I love. The man I waited for all these years.”

Phenelopie let out a soft sigh, shaking her head with a gentle smile.

”I don’t need to worry about it. I have Heres and my little Macia. My hands are full already.” She paused, tapping her chin. ”Though... I wouldn’t mind having a third child. Even if some might say I’m too old for it now.”

Garius’s expression warmed. He opened his arms wide, and a soft pulse of his magic swept out, catching them gently, drawing them into his embrace. They gathered around him in a circle, their bodies pressing close as he planted a kiss on each pair of lips in turn.

His hands roamed across them, cupping a breast here, a waist there, the curve of a hip, the soft give of an ass, his touch familiar and affectionate.

He leaned in close, his voice dropping into a warm, confident whisper.

”None of you need to worry. Not about my attention, not about my affection, not about my time. You are all mine. Every single one of you. And I will never let any one of you feel abandoned. I have enough love for all of you. I have enough hands to hold you, enough kisses to satisfy you, enough strength to carry every burden you bear. So don’t ever doubt your place in my heart. Because each of you holds a part of me that no one else can replace.”

Meanwhile.

At the beach.

Marcellus blinked. The glowing golden chains that had bound him were gone, dissolved into nothing. He snapped his head toward Cedric, who was staring at his own wrists in equal disbelief. Aelius sat up straight, patting his arms and chest as if checking whether he was truly free. Heres looked around wildly, half-expecting the chains to reappear.

Marcellus glanced sideways at Alf, who still sat calmly on his chair, legs crossed, tea in hand, as if nothing had happened. He leaned close to Cedric, his voice dropping to a low whisper.

”Oi, Cedric. The chains are gone. Alf isn’t even looking at us. I think we can make a run for it.”

Cedric leaned in closer, his voice just as quiet. ”What’s the plan?”

”Tell Heres to use magic to distract. Something flashy. While he does that, you and I make a run for it.”

Cedric’s grin widened. ”Great idea, brother.”

He leaned toward Aelius, about to relay the plan, when every brother’s head snapped toward a familiar scream from the distance.

”Gyaaaarhhh! Mother!! My pants!!”

Fransesca arrived at the beach in elegant, graceful strides. Her hair flowed behind her like a silken cape.

Behind her, Javier was sprawled flat on his stomach, his body coated in sand from head to toe. His beach trunks had been pulled halfway down his hips, exposing the top of his ass and the band of his underwear. One hand was still locked in Fransesca’s grip, while his other hand desperately clutched the front of his trunks against his crotch, his face burning with humiliation.

”Oh, hush, Honey Bun~” Fransesca released his hand and gave a light, musical laugh. ”We’ve arrived. Now, now~ Get up and let’s enjoy this vacation~”

She turned away from him and walked toward the tables where the food was being served, her steps light and elegant. Her smile softened as she noticed all her sons’ wives gathered around, watching her with warm, respectful expressions. They all clasped their hands before them and bowed low.

”Lady Mother.”

Fransesca clasped her hands together, her smile radiant.

”My, my~ All my beautiful daughters-in-law, gathered together~ How lovely~”
