Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1408: A Flick to the Forehead ( 1408 )

Gloria’s aura flared even more dangerously, the air around them growing heavy and oppressive. Her eyes glinted with a cold, predatory light as she took a slow step forward. Athine, Lithia, and Meira quickly channeled their mana, holding her back with visible effort.

Athine’s voice was calm, soft, but firm. “Gloria, please… calm down.”

Lithia held Gloria’s hand, gently lowering the warhammer. “Don’t kill them, Gloria. You know Prince Javier doesn’t want that.”

Meira let out a long, weary exhale, her tail swaying slowly as she held Gloria’s other arm with both hands. “Shiii shiii~ calm down, nya~”

Buddy strutted forward smugly, stopping in front of the three kneeling girls before sitting down with a smirk on his beak. Liana walked gracefully toward Gloria, her expression calm but her eyes sharp, and flicked Gloria’s forehead with a precise, quick motion.

“Ow! What was that for, First Wife?” Gloria’s aura vanished instantly, her eyes narrowing with a pout as she rubbed her forehead.

Liana exhaled, pinching the bridge of her nose before giving Gloria a sidelong glare. “Did you notice your surroundings? You’re surrounded by pregnant sisters-in-law. If your aura had affected them, do you think Young Master would be pleased?”

Gloria’s eyes widened, her cheeks flushing as she glanced around at Athine, Lithia, Meira, Harny, Zania, and Kliatana, who were all smiling softly. Some chuckled, covering their lips with quiet amusement, while others simply shook their heads fondly.

“A… ah… s… sorry!!” Gloria quickly bowed, her voice filled with genuine regret. “I didn’t mean to… I just got carried away…”

Liana’s gaze swept across the area, taking in the scene around her. Delya stood with her chocolate jar hugged tightly to her chest, her dreamy eyes observing the situation with quiet calm. Beside her, Felicia had her palm raised, a soft, glowing light fading as she lowered it, along with a faint shimmer in the air that indicated she and Delya had just finished channeling a barrier spell to reduce the impact of Gloria’s aura.

Mimi stood a short distance away, grinning sheepishly. One hand rubbed the back of her head while the other rested behind her back, her tail swaying slowly in an innocent.

Liana let out a long exhale before turning her attention back to Gloria. “Next time, please be more careful. I know all of our sisters-in-law, especially Princess Athine, are strong. But that does not mean you should let your emotions get the better of you.”

She paused, her gaze softening slightly as she glanced toward the three kneeling girls.

“As much as I wanted to punish them myself for what they did to Young Master, we must remember that this is also about welcoming the last girl of Young Master’s harem. Let us not make her first impression of us one of fear.”

Gloria turned her head in a pout, crossing her arms beneath her breast with her lips pursed in a dramatic huff. The massive white ore warhammer in her hand slowly dissolved into particles of light, vanishing completely.

“Hmmph!”

She shot a sharp glare at the three kneeling girls, her voice cold and clipped. “You should all be lucky the First Wife is here. If not, I would have already made sure you were dead by now.”

She turned her head away with another huff, her arms still crossed.

Ashara and Jiowana slowly recovered from their heavy panting, their bodies trembling as they struggled to steady their breathing. Celine’s mind raced, a cold chill settling in her chest.

A… Armand is scary.

First, there was that overwhelming presence earlier in the meeting room, a pressure so immense it felt like my very soul was being crushed. I still didn’t know what it was, only that it had forced me and my guards to our knees, gasping for air.

And now this… this human girl, wearing a maid outfit, with glasses, had nearly crushed them with nothing but her presence alone.

Are all Armand personnel this strong?

We couldn’t even move, just from her aura. Even my best escorts, Ashara and Jiowana, some of Divinity’s finest royal guards, were pinned down hard, unable to lift a finger. And she’s just one of the maids? Or is she one of the prince’s wives?

And who is this “Young Master” they keep talking about?

Celine slowly lifted her head, her gaze drifting across the gathered women. Athine, the gentle silver-haired princess she had met earlier, stood calmly with a soft smile. Nearby, two dark elves stood, one near the human girl with glasses, and another with the same elegant features, standing at the entrance of the Garden Room with a warm, welcoming smile.

A beautiful catgirl with long, flowing hair stood gracefully, her tail swaying gently behind her. Beside her, a girl who appeared human but had two elegant horns protruding from her head, wearing a flowing purple dress, hugged something close to her chest. Another catgirl in a beautiful pregnant dress stood near the human girl with glasses, her hand resting protectively over her belly.

Celine’s eyes drifted further, landing on a calm, composed human girl with an air of quiet authority, standing beside another girl whose skin bore faint, almost invisible stripes, beautiful and unique.

Her gaze swept past the maids who moved gracefully, adjusting the food arrangements in the Garden Room with practiced ease, before finally settling on a woman who made her breath catch.

A beautiful silver-haired elf, with striking emerald eyes, wearing a pristine maid uniform that accentuated her graceful, curvy figure. Her waist was slender, her posture elegant, and her breast was full and firm, straining against the fabric of her uniform. Her lips were soft, naturally pink, and carried a gentle, knowing smile.

L… Lyzia?

No… Lyzia doesn’t have that kind of figure.

This must be… her sister. The one Lyzia spoke of. The one who is the first wife of the prince.

Liana gracefully walked toward her with a soft, warm smile, both hands clasped in front of her. She stopped before Celine, then leaned down slightly, tucking a strand of her silver hair behind her ear with gentle elegance.

“Celine, right?”

Celine nodded silently, her voice caught in her throat. She watched as Liana extended her hand toward her, an offering of kindness and acceptance.

Her gaze dropped to Liana’s hand.

Wow…

Her hand was beautiful. Her fingers were long and slender, perfectly proportioned, with soft, delicate knuckles that moved with fluid grace. Her nails were neatly shaped, clean, and carried a faint, natural pinkish sheen. The skin was flawless, smooth as silk, with a warmth that seemed to radiate from within.

Celine caught a faint, intoxicating scent. It was soft, sweet, and clean, like fresh blooming flowers mixed with a hint of vanilla and something deeper, richer, a scent that carried a subtle warmth, like the gentle heat of a hearth on a cold winter night that carried a subtle undertone.

Celine’s eyes remained fixed on Liana’s face, lingering on her lips, which were soft, full, and carried a gentle, inviting curve.

S… she’s so beautiful.

Liana chuckled softly, her voice light and melodic. “Don’t fall for me, since I already have Young Master. Beside~ I don’t go that way~.”
