Prodigiously Amazing Weaponsmith

Chapter 3098: In The Dark Night (1)

Xia Yunxi didn’t dare be careless with the matters concerning the campsite’s practitioners’ future and lives. Nor would she speak without thinking.

These few days while she was in Team 4, other than training the soldiers in her team, she purposely found some time to do some divinations.

The trigram showed the current situation in the campsite as rickety. They might be annihilated completely at any moment!

“… but, there are many variations for the future development, and there might be a chance that we will take a turn for the better. That was why I decided to suggest attacking first in the meeting. I hoped that it could change the fate of the campsite.”

After Xia Yunxi said that, she couldn’t help but sigh again.

Huang Yueli said, “Looks like your plan failed… Divine Lieutenant would persist in defense, so how do you think things will develop from now on?”

Although Li Yukun said they were taking the temporary measure of defense in the meeting.

But Huang Yueli knew clearly that they had just obtained a victory. If those Commanders don’t take the opportunity to strike the iron while it’s hot, then after the campsite was sealed, it would be even more difficult to work up the courage to battle!

The conclusion would be to drag on endlessly until the devils come knocking on their doors.

Xia Yunxi apparently thought so as well. Her lips pouted and said, “The situation is terrible! It wouldn’t take long before another huge crisis will strike the entire campsite! If we can’t survive that, everyone will be done for! If we manage to survive this, perhaps, we might get a chance to turn defeat into victory…”

“A huge crisis? Don’t tell me the demon tribe will make a breakthrough into our campsite?” Huang Yueli asked as she frowned deeply.

Xia Yunxi nodded and replied, “That’s possible! So, the two of us have to be very careful!”

Based on their experience and power, even if the campsite turned topsy turvy, they knew that they could escape unscathed.

But anything was possible on the battlefield. The moment they underestimated the enemy, even a Dao Profound Realm top exponent might die!

Huang Yueli nodded her head earnestly.

The two of them went on their ways.

The next few days were very peaceful.

The demon tribe seemed as though they had suffered a serious blow in the previous battle, so they hadn’t appeared in the past few days.

As for the practitioners in the campsite, they were originally very anxious and flustered that the demon tribe would attack them.

But after a moment of peace, they started to relax. Some of them even felt that activating the defense arrays throughout the day was extremely safe. They need not be so focused when they were standing on guard duty.

Huang Yueli and Xia Yunxi saw this but had no stand to say anything much. They could only intensity the drills of their teams.

As the two of them earned a lot of military merits when they led their subordinates on the battlefield previously, the two teams’ members were convinced by their Team Leaders. So when they trained, they were extremely serious and focused.

Xia Yunxi specially looked for Huang Yueli to gain some knowledge on formation transformation. She was very intelligent and after Huang Yueli’s explanation, she quickly grasped the main points.

Time flew past swiftly and in a blink of an eye, a week had passed.

On a pitch-black night, Huang Yueli was already sleeping in her tent.

Suddenly, shrieks of terror reverberated above the skies of the campsite.

“Bad news, bad news! The demon tribe… the demon tribe is attacking our campsite!”

“Help, quickly help us! The demon tribe is here… AH!”

Miserable screams rang throughout.
