Prodigiously Amazing Weaponsmith

Chapter 3044: Demon Tribe’s Spy (1)

“There’s danger?” Huang Yueli turned to look at the north as well.

The directions all seem the same and there were various forests of different sizes which lined up in a row near the Toxic Swamp. So she couldn’t tell the difference at all.

But since Xia Yunxi had already said that, Huang Yueli decided to listen to her.

After they left the forest, Xia Yunxi was evidently even more prudent than before. She would stop for a short interval after some time to make a new judgment on the direction to move in.

Along the way, the two of them had gone past several forests and made several detours.

It was until the seventh day’s evening when a smile surfaced on Xia Yunxi showed a smile after she looked for a while on high grounds.

“We’re almost reaching the allied armies campsite!”

“What? For real? Let me take a look!” Huang Yueli, who went into a daze out of boredom, immediately jumped up when she heard that. She came next to Xia Yunxi and looked in the direction that she was pointing in.

“Really! There seems to be a campsite in front, and several human soldiers are patrolling the surroundings!” Huang Yueli also smiled after she took a look.

The past journey was relatively difficult. They had been trying their way out along the Toxic Swamp area and had been treading carefully every single day.

Moreover, what made Huang Yueli most disappointed was that they were fully focused on traveling for the past few days and had not encountered many devils at all.

The entire seven days of military merits weren’t even as much as what they had earned in the first two days!

If Xia Yunxi was not by her side, she would have died of boredom.

Now that they had finally reached the allied armies’ camp, that would mean that they would be able to return to Blessed City very soon!

That was simply a wonderful piece of news.

The two ladies were invigorated and all their tiredness was gone. They sped up and headed towards the camp.

After two hours or so, they had reached the surrounding of the campsite.

“This young brother, we… ohh! What… what’s going on??”

Huang Yueli quickly walked towards the sentry guard who was at the sentry post and was just about to tell him her identity and purpose in coming here.

Whoever knew that before she could complete her sentence, ten over sharp arrows were suddenly launched at her!

Moreover, every single arrow was aimed at her vital points!

Huang Yueli retreated in a fluster but as the situation was too sudden, she tripped and almost fell. Luckily Xia Yunxi grabbed her tightly from the side.

She wasn’t injured because the arrows were shot by ordinary human soldiers. Their cultivations were between seventh to eighth stage realm and the disparity was just too great.

But neither she nor Xia Yunxi had expected such a thing to happen and they were stunned.

Whereas at this moment, a horn-blowing sound rang throughout the campsite. Another troop of human soldiers ran out and formed a line. They pulled their bows taut as their arrows were aimed at the two of them.

Facing another round of attack, Huang Yueli quivered and hurriedly cried out.

“Wait! Don’t shoot! We… we are humans!! Take a clear look, the two of us are real humans!”

Hearing that, a man with a thick beard who was wearing a Commander’s uniform walked out behind those soldiers.

He looked at Huang Yueli and Xia Yunxi from head to toe and said, “Humans? Some humans are spies for the demon tribe! Otherwise, explain how you can escape from the demon tribe’s control are with such an intense battle on the frontline? This Divine Lieutenant would rather kill ten thousand innocent people rather than miss out on one! Release—”
