Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 598: Chapter 429: Ultra Affectionate Dragon Love

Just as Baimu thought.

Brother Dragapult had no objections to Dreepy’s decision.

But another problem followed—

Should the two of them live with Dragapult, or live separately in other Pokéballs?

”Chia!”

Brother Dragapult cheerfully expressed that he wanted to live in the same Pokeball as his sister.

”That can only happen when your sister evolves...”

Baimu helplessly poked its head.

His investigations showed that the Dragapult family indeed shared many similarities with Pokémon like Kangaskhan, Exeggcute, and Falinks, belonging to a special symbiotic Pokémon type.

So when Dreepy is perched on Drakloak or Dragapult’s head, they can be stored together in a Pokeball.

Such a peculiar phenomenon, no wonder Dr. Da Mu always said there were still many mysteries about Pokémon.

”Chia!”

As for this matter, Sister Dragapult was completely decisive, opting for separate accommodation, and held some prejudice against Dragapult who seemed to have lured away her brother.

Without figuring out the situation, how could she possibly live in the same ball with it?

”Indeed.”

Baimu nodded in agreement, then handed over a variety of Pokeballs he had collected to the two Dreepys to choose from. After all, it would be their future residence, so it was better for them to choose by themselves.

Nowadays, most Pokémon like Aggron live in Luxury Balls, known for their unparalleled comfort as one of the more expensive Pokeballs; every Pokémon that has lived in one speaks highly of it.

The only exception might be Milotic, which prefers the Diving Ball, which is remarkably effective for capturing water-dwelling Pokémon, creating the sensation of being in a pool despite the lack of water inside.

Amazing black technology.

Soon after, the two little guys made their own choices.

Sister Dragapult opted for the Luxury Ball, highly recommended by Pokémon like Blissey, believing comfort is the most important thing, and of course, the friendly attitude of surrounding Pokémon is even more crucial.

Having once mingled with her brother in the graveyard, Dreepy knew well the importance of establishing friendly relations with surrounding Pokémon to ensure she wouldn’t be bullied or ostracized.

She turned her head to see her brother’s choice, only to find that he, unbeknownst to her, had become quite friendly with the supposed-to-be-watched Hydreigon.

The two Pokémon were conversing happily, and then her brother, seemingly heard something delightful, flew excitedly towards a green Pokeball, pressing the button twice in quick succession.

”Chia!”

First to zoom in, second to open it.

”Chia?”

Dreepy’s vision blurred momentarily, and she saw Baimu, with lightning speed, trying to grab the Pokeball, but Brother Dragapult had already turned into a red light and flew inside.

”This.”

He looked at Hydreigon, which proudly displayed a ’praise-seeking’ expression, as if it had done something amazing.

Friendship Ball.

A type of ball that greatly enhances the friendliness/intimacy of newly captured Pokémon. Its effect in the animation isn’t as significant as in the game, but it indeed helps Pokémon and Trainers to quickly become friendly, contributing a lot to their initial bonding.

It seemed that Hydreigon intended to get Brother Dragapult to quickly familiarise himself, which is why it talked him into it—

Completely unnecessary.

Baimu didn’t really care for such ”shortcuts”; given two or three days, he could achieve the friendliness level the Friendship Ball brought, the key was Dreepy’s own desire.

What exactly did it want?

The green Friendship Ball stopped shaking.

”Idiot.”

He knocked on Hydreigon’s head, releasing Brother Dragapult.

The problem wasn’t big. If he didn’t like it, he could just switch to another Pokeball. His Pokémon wouldn’t just run away once released from their Pokeballs.

”Chia?”

Brother Dragapult appeared with a curious face, jubilantly chirping to his sister, sharing his new experience inside the Friendship Ball.

Then he looked at Baimu.

”Chia!”

Brother Dragapult suddenly pounced, sticking to half of his face like a gecko, his tail waving up and down.

Hydreigon couldn’t help but display an expression of ”teachable young one.”

It felt worthwhile taking the risk of being scolded to cajole him.

Baimu helplessly pulled Brother Dragapult away, thinking it was probably Dreepy’s way of expressing affection, observing from the corner of his eye how Sister Dragapult used her folded claws like a mantis shrimp to tap on the Luxury Ball twice.

She successfully got absorbed.

A few seconds later.

Sister Dragapult flew out and pounced as her brother did.

”Is this some kind of habit?”

With one in each hand, Baimu stacked them on his head like a totem pole, after all, it wouldn’t be the first time, and then opened his smartphone’s illustrated guide.

[Pokémon: Dreepy]

[Attribute: Dragon + Ghost]

[Gender: Female]

[Height: 52cm/2kg]

[Trait: Piercing]

[Level: Level 13]

[Moves: Lightning Flash/Scare/Bite]

[Tenacious Pursuit/Curse/Rush]

This was the sister’s profile.

In the game, Dreepy can’t learn moves by leveling up, meaning the chances of learning new moves before evolving is slim.

The brother’s length and weight were the same as the sister’s, but a level lower, with the trait of Ever-Pure Body, and identical move sets.

If it weren’t for the gender difference, it would be really hard to differentiate them.

Hmm...

To be honest, Baimu couldn’t quite tell them apart; Dreepy doesn’t have gender differences, only by asking Porygon II for a reminder could he understand.
