Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 568: Chapter 415: Porygon II_4

A few seconds later.

Under the action of the exhaust fan, the smoke lingering in the air cleared, and Rotom in its plasma form fell to the ground with its eyes turned into black circles.

Meanwhile, Porygon, nearly trapped in the narrow confines of the washing machine, made a very weak ”pa-lee” sound.

Its attribute energy was completely exhausted, not a drop left.

Walt raised the flag with enthusiasm.

”Rotom has lost its ability to fight! Porygon wins—the winner of this Gym challenge is the challenger!”

His excited voice echoed in the arena.

It had been a long time since he had seen such a thrilling Pokémon battle! Rotom and Porygon each did everything they could in pursuit of victory.

Tie Xuan gradually showed a wry smile, ”Ah haha... lost, huh... Truly convincing!”

He retrieved Rotom with a Pokeball, ”You did well! Encountering such an outstanding young person, it’s not a loss without cause! Time doesn’t go easy on us!”

Baimu likewise used a Pokeball to relieve Porygon’s predicament, but then released it again.

For Porygon, whose emotion module was gradually returning, was extremely excited at the moment.

”Pa-lee!”

It looked up at the Trainer, with pride, admiration, and unshakable joy in its eyes.

I did it!

Under your command and tactics, I defeated a fully developed Washing Rotom with my undiluted form! Proving Porygon is the stronger one!

I’ve brought you the fruits of my victory!

Your choice and trust were not wrong! You can always believe in Porygon!

Baimu watched Porygon, slightly trembling, revealing countless complex colors in its once cold and numb eyes, and put his hand on its head, saying the words it most wanted to hear at the moment.

”Well done! Choosing you was the best decision!”

”Pa-lee—!!”

Porygon let out a low-pitched scream, tears the size of beans welled up from its eyes, and it circled around Baimu like a remote-controlled car infected by a virus.

Even when the latter tried to stop it, he couldn’t.

Eventually, what brought the creature down was its already depleted energy, and it fell down with its eyes turned into circles.

”Hahaha! Too excited after winning, huh?”

”It’s more than just winning.”

Baimu looked at Tie Xuan who walked up with Walt and replied in a quiet voice, ”This match brought back many things it had once abandoned.”

”Hahaha! Looks like you’re very concerned about the psychological health of your Pokémon! That’s great!”

Tie Xuan laughed heartily, pulling out a badge that looked electronic with a yellow hue, but when it turned slightly under the lights, revealed a blueish glow.

”Come! Here’s your Electric Badge! Take good care of it!”

”Thank you!”

Baimu took it with both hands and placed it in his badge box.

Tie Xuan continued, ”Seeing such promising young Trainers like you really gives me joy! But to think you took down my Pokémon without issue!”

”You’re too kind.”

”Excessive modesty is vanity! Don’t blame an old man for talking too much, you should laugh more! Laugh heartily and receive a thousand blessings! Haha!”

Tie Xuan was full of smiles.

Baimu smiled helplessly, ”Such flamboyance isn’t quite my style...”

”Pa-lee!”

The faint Porygon suddenly woke up by Baimu’s feet, looking up at its Trainer, ”Pa-lee pa-lee!”

Tie Xuan asked upon seeing, ”Oh? Looks like it wants to do something?”

”It’s reminding me the time has come.”

Baimu calmed Porygon with his hand, took out his phone facing the curious glances of the two and replied, ”—The time for evolution. Is there an exchange machine in the Gym? Porygon won’t want to go to the Pokémon Center without evolving.”

Under the surprised gazes of Tie Xuan and Walt, Porygon dug into the phone, and actively presented its trust level, the almost-full screen of hearts came into view.

Seven hearts!

One battle directly increased Porygon’s trust from five hearts to seven!

”Yes, yes! We have it!”

Assistant Walt promptly raised his hand in acknowledgment.

Tie Xuan turned his head and said, ”Eh? When did the Gym get an exchange machine?”

”For your Electabuzz to evolve into Electivire! Did you forget?” Walt looked at him in shock.

”Ah-ah!”

Tie Xuan suddenly realized and scratched his head helplessly, ”Getting older really messes with the memory.”

Shortly after.

After a preliminary treatment of Porygon, the three found the Gym’s exchange machine, as it wasn’t used often, it was covered with a plastic sheet outside.

”Let me help you with the exchange!”

Walt took the Pokeball and said proactively.

”Alright, I’ll leave it to you then.”

Baimu nodded slightly, not forgetting to retrieve the Evolutionary Wondrous Stone before recalling the excited Porygon, then stuffed it with the hard drive-like upgrade data.

When connecting for exchange, the Pokeball became a cluster of data, melding the internal upgrade data with Porygon, thus causing transformation.

Exchange begins.

The Pokeball in the animated world used to contain Pokémon is a kind of special Black Technology, in mainstream regions, Pokeballs are controlled by the Pokeball management system, and upon exchanging Pokémon, the internal system refreshes the registrant — namely the Trainer.

If the Pokeball registrant doesn’t match the user, a query from Officer Jenny will follow.

Therefore, Pokémon people in the animated world must use exchange machines to trade Pokémon, even if the person stands right in front of them.

The machine sucked in the two Pokeballs for exchange, which fell back at a distance.

Walt pressed the exchange button again, the two Pokeballs swapped once more.

”It’s done!”

He looked at Baimu, ”Communication evolution is successful!”

”Thanks.”

Baimu thanked once again, taking the Porygon’s Pokeball and opened it in front of him.

Bang!

Light gleamed.

Porygon landed, the upgrade data it held in its mouth had disappeared, replaced by a gradually lighting dazzling blue glow, countless fireflies swirled around it.

[Evolution].

Even artificial life can attain this miracle.

Though it was a comprehensive upgrade by Dr. Akihabara due to a stroke of luck, evolution indeed descended upon Porygon, as if an unseen eye acknowledged Porygon’s value as a life.

Baimu watched the transforming Porygon in silence, his phone recording already activated.

No matter how many times, the evolution occurring right in front of him always moved him endlessly.

Tie Xuan and Walt similarly did not interrupt this moment.

Shortly.

The light dimmed.

A plastic toy duck with an incredibly smooth exterior appeared before them, the biggest difference from Porygon being the lack of edges – it only had curves and no angles.

As if the old 3D models now included the concept of subdivided surfaces, appearing more intricate.

At first glance, it might not seem drastic, but in reality, it’s vastly different today from the past.

Both externally and internally.

[Porygon II], truly birthed in front of Baimu.

”Congratulations! Porygon II!”

”Pa-lee!”

Porygon II opened its vivid eyes, emitting a more soothing cry.
